- atomicpoet, on 03/30/2009, -0/+9Russia's the only place in the world where stippers perform in banks.
- lostinseganet, on 03/31/2009, -0/+6What happened to all that oil and other riches people were talking about in the draft discussion comments? Answer the rich are keeping it for themselves.
- frontaxle, on 03/31/2009, -0/+6Party's over Yuri!
- inactive, on 03/31/2009, -1/+7Capitalist Russia...hahahahahahahhahahahaha!
You should read up on the oligarchs who took over after 1991. Nothing has changed in Russia since about 1924. - joeboy70, on 03/31/2009, -3/+8I guess this is capitalist Russia's first lesson in boom and bust economics.
- Formaldehydex2, on 03/31/2009, -0/+5Oh Russia, ancestral land of my family, how I would love to visit someday, if it weren't such a goddamn bizzare country.
- Mattwdj, on 03/31/2009, -0/+5In before, "in soviet russia.." Joke.
- amabaie, on 03/30/2009, -2/+7Russia is such a country of extremes...just like the rest of Europe before populaism and eventually democracy started taking root.
- inactive, on 04/01/2009, -1/+6In Soviet Russia, this crisis would have not occurred. (Not a joke)
- MothBoy, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4I think you meant:
В советском Россия, шутка смеется над на ВАС! - danwgre, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4could not have occurred.... not would.
- archiesteel, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4The US was never a capitalist country. The Pentagon has been used since the 40s to inject capital into the private sector.
Anyway, that's a good thing, because true capitalism doesn't work. Free markets overheat like so many tulip crazes... - inactive, on 03/31/2009, -0/+4Poor moskovitz, now they can only afford one private jet instead of two. Can someone please bail them out?
- spepin, on 03/31/2009, -0/+4Guess they'll have to switch back to regular, boring old sturgeon now... Instead of those fancy, gold filled ones.
- pcpimpster, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3I'd bet vodka sales are up.
- inactive, on 03/31/2009, -0/+3Protip: If you're going to link to a nutter blog, at least use proper grammar.
- 0260, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3It's not. Just the capital
- tgc1, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3Protip: It's the Vodka.
- frontaxle, on 03/31/2009, -0/+3I love stipplers fixing the ceiling in the Champagne Room
- pak314, on 03/31/2009, -2/+4Perhaps they should switch to the gold standard.
- TxAggie08, on 04/01/2009, -2/+4Did you just use capitalist and russia in the same sentence? Russia is know for seizing and nationalizing companies, a true capitalist country like the United States would never...oh FML.
- WellHelloThere, on 03/31/2009, -1/+3This really surprised me, I didn't know Russia was like this at all.
- BabyWookie, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Are you still a homosexual pedophile?
- BabyWookie, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1LOL. I wish that you could go back in time and compare today's Moscow or any other Russian city to the way they were, say 25 years ago. You wouldn't be saying such stupid ***** then.
Do you realize that 25 years ago, the entire Soviet economy was centrally-planned, managed by the government and private entrepreneurship was a crime? I mean, they would even arrest you for trying to sell some of your property for profit. It was called "speculyatsia". Are you saying that Russia is like this today?
In reality. just like most of the other European countries, Russia currently has a mixed capitalist/socialist system, where certain industries and services are nationalized, but most are privately owned and operated. - inactive, on 03/31/2009, -2/+3I love stippers so much.
- jwolcott, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1BY AS MUCH AS A THIRD ??????????? QUICK, SOMEONE CALL THE PRESIDENT!
- kevinschair, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0Who is getting bankrupt in Russia? Not so many russian designers- italian, american, spanish, etc.
Moscow is one the most expensive cities, at the same time ordinary people are doing much worse than in U.S.
As for pair of shoes or handbags, let's prioritize and get rid of all that bs. Doesn't matter much for me is all desigers will start working as sales people and wait on table, as long as we will fly to Mars soon. - jwolcott, on 04/01/2009, -2/+2In Soviet Russia, Joke laughs at YOU!
- jhails, on 04/01/2009, -1/+1The American Government should arrange to give them a tax payer sponsored bailout. What's another 200 Billion?
- eastwood24, on 04/01/2009, -3/+2Russia has never made it past its feudal roots. No matter how much it claims to be a classless (communist society), in actuality, it is a 'winner takes all' society and Moscow is exhibit A. Too bad too, because the people of Russia have much potential.
- awggie, on 03/31/2009, -3/+2i love people on digg so much...
- inactive, on 04/01/2009, -4/+2Dugg down for FML. Lamest. Site. Ever.
