There are many more images there too... - haydesigner, on 12/05/2007, -0/+8First ever post on a blog gets to the front page of Digg, with a bunch of very generic and lame comments??
Methinks someone paid to get their page Dugg. - john570, on 12/05/2007, -0/+5Nothing like having your own place so you can watch your Hentai anime collection in peace.
- lazyeyesam, on 12/05/2007, -0/+5Agreed. Very suspicious. Buried.
- crapmatic, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4Buried as stolen.
- sat0shi, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4Japan is small.
- hungarian33, on 12/05/2007, -2/+5yeah, I lived in japan for 3 yrs, and they have some of the smallest parking lots and homes in the world. dugg
- forkqueue, on 12/05/2007, -1/+4In Japan houses are only expected to last 25 years. After that you'd actually get *more* for an empty plot of land than your house, because of the costs associated with pulling down the old one and building something new.
This is partly because of all the earthquakes, and partly because the houses are designed that way - which, thinking about it, is probably also due to the earthquakes - it's going to be rubble anyway, so why bother making more heavy stuff to fall on everyone? - ThyLabyrinth, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3Stop Diggin' and move along folks cause it's just another spam-link website.
A short 5-sentence blurb with links everywhere going nowhere just to jack up their score with Google. - inactive, on 12/05/2007, -1/+4The Japanese solved the earthquake problem years ago. Worldwide all western houses are designed for a 25 year life cycle before major maintenance. The Japanese houses are made of steel frames, sit on steel I beam foundations and are built to withstand an earthquake. They are stronger than the West Coast USA houses.
The bricks are manufactured in Australia; have a large hole in the centre and are designed to have steel rods inserted in them to stop any movement in an earthquake. - edstate, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2My Mom had a guy buy some property down the road from her, and the whole neighborhood was abuzz that he was planning on putting up a pre-fab... they went nuts, actually, holding community meetings, talking to lawyers, trying to see how they could stop him from "devaluing" the neighborhood. But then he put up one of these bad boys. And they were like, "oh... ooops!". Pretty ***** funny.
- gbarberi, on 12/05/2007, -1/+3The 8th pic looked nice. I'd like to have just that much greenery around my house.
- dweeb79, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2Was it these prefab houses that only last like 50years?
- thebellmaster1x, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2So, ignoring the fact that this submission is obviously spam--
Who would ever create a blog about "Tokyo prefab homes"? Is there really SO much to say about prefab homes in Tokyo that you need a blog for it? Seriously? - kalle86, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2best comment so far, thanks!
- inactive, on 12/05/2007, -1/+3You only need a place to eat, sleep, ***** and get laid. Everything else is a luxury.
- inactive, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2looks very isolated and abandoned...
- thebellmaster1x, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Definitely the most hilarious spam comment I've seen.
- bobcrotch, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1For some reason all of those pictures remind me of Edward Scissor hands.
- ZenMojo, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1Little boxes on the hillside....
- etsa, on 12/10/2007, -0/+1always wanted one of these babies!!! Dude, ship one to me.
- alpine75, on 12/05/2007, -1/+2Worse then the gazillion Ron Paul submissions? I disagree! I'm giving you a thumbs down for using the word Evar.
- tsakajp, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Thank you Diggin'. But unfortunately, "Middle-class Prefab Homes" is spam as many people indicate above. I guess the original nice article is "Pink Tentacle". (Thanks!) http://www.pinktentacle.com/2007/12/suburban-tokyo ... and thanks too, anonymoustache san.
- yumlum, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1why u spam in comments ?
