- purplesun2, on 04/03/2009, -0/+14I would have loved to grow up in a house like this as a kid.
Heck, I'd love to live in one now as an adult. It's charming - much better than the cookie cutter pre-fabs that keep popping up in places that used to have trees. - mouthymadness, on 04/03/2009, -2/+14Hmm, for some reason I get a blank page when I click on that link.
- RealmDown, on 04/03/2009, -3/+12The new linking system is bad news from my standpoint.
I always check the link path before I click. I am cautious regarding which sites I visit, especially at work.
If I can't tell where the link is taking me, then I won't go at all. - toconnor, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5Two words... Playboy Mansion.
It might not be a Grimm tale, but you can't find any place that is more fairy tale-like. - Samadhi007, on 04/03/2009, -1/+6For some reason I'm getting a blank page on any link I click on today with the Digg Toolbar enabled.
- captainbethany, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5I want a hobbit house!!
- chewycheese, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4I'm getting blank pages for all of digg's shortened urls
- karadotc0m, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4I want one!
- shil01, on 04/03/2009, -2/+6Digg has fubared its links..its with every browser..i just checked.
- jenx, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4Google Street View of the Spadena house: http://tinyurl.com/cb3ux9
- speedk0re, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4unfortunately white castle is only on the east coast
- atlasdugged, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4The house in Valley Village is a gas!
- horseradish2, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4Same, its the great new linking system at work
- mouthymadness, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3I'm seeing that too. What browser and OS?
- scott28w, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3It's working now
- RealmDown, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Nice suggestion, thank you. I must admit though that I am getting tired of installing work-arounds to reverse Diggs "improvements."
- mouthymadness, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Thats weird.
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3They seemed to be having server issues with their short urls there for a few minutes. The problem was server side and not browser dependent.
- kingofinternet, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4l.a. is full of fruitcakes.
- Arramol, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3You might try installing a tab thumbnail extension like Tab Scope. Open the link in a background tab, then mouse-over the tab to bring up the thumbnail, and it's usually enough to tell if the site's safe or not without filling your screen with horrors if "Cute goat picture!" turns out to be goatse.
- julian02392, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3It still shows the website in the description so I'm not sure what you mean.
- RealmDown, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3From meruru in another thread:
You can shut off the DiggBar in your profile under Settings -> Viewing Preferences.
This appears to kill the shorturl ***** also. - underrun, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Try this:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q& ...
(3820 Dunn Drive, Los Angeles, CA) - protodon, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2And the young professionals with starter families and Crossovers that live in them.
- crunchdigg, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2the pictured house is not in Beachwood Canyon. It's on a small side street in Culver City
between Venice and Washington, surrounded by medical offices.

I used to walk past it on the way to lunch. It was very cool. - onionoino, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2those houses are awesome
- GRAVEWiSH, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2looks super-comfy
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2lol metro
- Dubbsacc, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2Next time you open a site with the toolbar, hover your mouse next to the "X". There is a drop down list, similar to the one that shows up next to "Bury" when you're in a Digg article.
This shuts it off, or you can do it in your profile. I just wonder if it's an account specific setting or a computer wide cookie so that it works even when you're logged out. - viacombusta, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2The Witch's House is actually a few blocks away from the Menendez Brothers' house which is just down the street from Bugsy's house (he was shot and killed through the living room window). It's just like a real fairy tale!
(cue The More You Know music) - giid, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2I get a black screen in Firefox, IE and Chrome when I attempt to use street view on that url. What's up with that?
- RealmDown, on 04/03/2009, -1/+3latimes.com

- NiftyG, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1They forgot the Seven Dwarves apartment complex in Silverlake, right down the street from the old Disney Studios. It provided inspiration for the backgrounds in Snow White.
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2910+griffith+park+b ... - missbarclay, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Wow I want to live there pretty damn badly.
- Equinamin, on 04/04/2009, -0/+1cozy...
- steph777, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1I love this!
- crunchdigg, on 04/05/2009, -0/+1yeah, I failed. I guess there was some caching going on when it worked for me. It is indeed on Dunn Drive.
- Askee, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1Don't let this fool you, LA still blows.
- trekkertots, on 04/05/2009, -0/+0These are simply amazing although I'm sure I would never be able to feel entirely at home living on one of them--any of them.
- xsecretfiles, on 04/03/2009, -2/+2haha poor people housing.....
Where the Castles at? - oninbonin, on 04/03/2009, -3/+2Did anyone watch the latest Flight of the Conchords where they made a LOTR music video? That was ***** hilarious ha!
