- badqat, on 11/10/2009, -0/+66I'm guessing a few thousand ticketless travelers can combine to beat the crap out of boxers and wrestlers.

Tickets please. *punch, throws out window, points* No ticket!
</Dr. Jones> - MacBookForMe, on 11/10/2009, -5/+40Huge country, strange habits... (still love that curry)
- J0hnnyBlaze, on 11/10/2009, -0/+30A spokesman for the Northern Railways denied the boxers and wrestlers were being deployed to intimidate passengers. "The boxers and wrestlers are Railway employees and are expected to function like any other ticker-checkers. There is absolutely no intimidation involved," he said.
phew...for a minute there I was worried. - Surferess, on 11/10/2009, -1/+26To me, that train seems a bit overloaded. You can see where a few bouncers/boxers might be useful to help keep things under control. I'm just sayin'.

- Alli3388, on 11/10/2009, -8/+22Damn India. Stop having kids for a while or something.
- MattBD, on 11/10/2009, -0/+13Sounds a good idea to me. I was on the train home from work a few years ago and the conductor had to cope with this deeply unpleasant chav who he'd caught hiding in the toilet in an attempt to dodge paying for his ticket (this seems to be a common method of avoiding getting a fine) screaming abuse at him. The conductor was a nice enough guy and he really didn't deserve that kind of treatment.

http://www.heritage.org/Index/Country/India - hereticoftruth, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6Looks like they need more revenue to build more trains. Low underpasses would discourage riding on top. But don't implement that until riders have a real practical alternative. But you do need strong men to enforce the rules, not sadistic thugs looking to get their sick jollies. How about some open top rail cars? Keep that center of gravity low for safety.

Shack (Ernest Borgnine) is a sadistic railroad conductor who removes all hobos from his train using an assortment of weapons: a hammer, a steel rod, and a chain.
A-No.1 (Lee Marvin) vows to be the first hobo to ride Shack's train all the way to Portland.
