- bamafun, on 05/14/2008, -2/+23I roll everything up - keeps it from wrinkling and lets you fit a lot more in as well.

- mathwizkid, on 05/14/2008, -0/+11I even put my sister in it so we can save one ticket!
- curseoflou, on 05/14/2008, -3/+13tried rolling my clothes once - all my shirts wrinkled like an uncircumcised penis.
- surfacewound, on 05/14/2008, -1/+9It's not just quantity, there's also a weight limit per bag.
- rockrapdude, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7George Carlin made a good one about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvgN5gCuLac
- SACubeMonkey, on 05/14/2008, -1/+8I don't even want to know what kind of sketchy ***** you have on your computer that would lead to this level of paranoia.
- Fetttson, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7I've used two bags probably a dozen times now. People who move a lot overseas need two bags. Try fitting *everything* you own into just two bags and a carry on, it's not easy...
- goldfishey, on 05/14/2008, -1/+6If your packing sharps or anything else thats banned on flights these days you have to check a bag. Gone are those days where you could squish everything you needed into your carryon. Soap's become a potential weapon.
- georgebnet, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5that's easy: make sure you don't own anything.
- Witchbaby, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5If all i have is 2 dress shirts to "bundle" then I'm made in the shade.
- surfacewound, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4Wrong, I'd have $10 and a nifty bag to keep it in.
- martelo, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3When I travel with my laptop I place it on top of my jacket on the plastic bin that goes through the x-ray machine and then they give it back to me. What airlines do you fly?
- rumdrunk, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4vacuum pack it... https://www.spacebag.com/travelbag/910453/
- zombies187, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3I must know...what kind of penises would you be comfortable with your clothes turning into?
- barc0de, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3A good tip is to wear as much as comfortably possible on the flight - especially items you dont want crammed into a bag.. When taking a late business flight I will wear my suit even though I wont need it until the next day.
- zombies187, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3That's cool. My principals involve keeping my OS out of the mail.
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -1/+4That airlines aren't worthy of our trust.
- mciampa1214, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2Exactly what I was thinking; this is useful for going away for a weekend but not for 6 months. [currently studying abroad]
- Bridea, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2Airlines still have a weight limit per bag, so be careful you don't get charged for overweight baggage.
- piesforyou, on 05/14/2008, -1/+3EVERYTHING? What about my car? My house?
- aus10js86, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2So why is that they need to limit you to one bag now?
- bjs3171, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2really? i own some pretty big stuff.
- Grok22, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2RTA - rolling is less effective than the method described here.
- brundlefly76, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2I can't live without packing cubes - they are the Tardis of packing:

- Grok22, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2mine isn't wrinkly
- dootisterhans, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1What does this have to do with the article?
- Notyavgkat, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1great...just the burning question , that was burning a hole in my head!
- dynamited, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Dugg cause it reminds me I need to prepare my stuff for my next flight... and its a carry-on only. Cheers
- gdha, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Wow, great advice and a great read.
- BruiserBob, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2Sweet...D&D humor...
- brundlefly76, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1They compress way more space than they occupy, believe me.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1I wish I had read this before I packed this morning for the long weekend!
- iliketokick, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1That does not work! The bags break, and then you have nothing to put all your ***** in! None good.
- dootisterhans, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Do the airlines examine your luggage, or does the TSA do that? The article was about how to pack your belongings so they fit into one suitcase.
- RyeBrye, on 05/14/2008, -1/+3How to do it in 2 steps:
1. Sign this document where you agree to turn over everything you own to me for $10
2. Take this bag. It's now your only posession. - lusenok2, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1As soon as TSA opens the bag the shirts get even more wrinkled.. and dirty...
- dood, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1How about "own less stuff"?
- cuoops, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1http://www.onebag.com/pack.html
- dootisterhans, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1I think you're lying. I don't think you really do this.
- chuckDontSurf, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1"I fly a few times a year and I don't even need to check anything."
Whoop-de-*****. You want a goddamn medal? Some people have kids, are taking longs vacations, etc. - chuckDontSurf, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1"so when they search it" ??? You know the xray machine can't download the HD contents, right?
- freshyill, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1That is a good example, and that's the time I needed to check two bags. But-- I was gone for four months. I still don't see how anybody could need more than carry on + personal item + 1 checked item for an average trip. I can only see it being an extreme case for myself, in which case, it wouldn't kill me to pay extra since I'd obviously be lugging a lot of crap with me.
- diggid3, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0From http://www.onebag.com/checklist.html:
"It's a rare trip that would need every item on this list (all of which are discussed in detail in the annotated packing list section). But even if you bring everything, it will still (other than what you're wearing, and subject to the quantity of "specialty items" you believe necessary) fit in a single, carryon-sized bag."
I call BS; it will never fit in a carryon-sized bag; this will take at least 50 to 60L. - inactive, on 05/17/2008, -0/+0Godwin's Law.
- Enochrewt, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0everything i own? really, EVERYTHING? Buried just because the headline is so stupid.
