  • jgopp, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I've stayed at the Pod NYC it is pretty cool and it is CHEAP for New York. I paid 120 a night there compared to the 500+ they wanted at some of the hotels downtown a little more. And yeah it is really geeky, plenty of geek women working there too.

  • asgardshill, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1The Akihibara (Tokyo) hotel reminds me of one of the ubiqituous "love hotels" in Japan. They're hyper-expensive but also luxurious as hell - they're designed for a quick tryst, not to stay in long-term.

Each left-click producing a simultaneous satisfied grunt at his ability to navigate the Internet. Two years later, he texts me to tell me how he finally got a Myspace and figured out how to hook up the scanner and put up a picture.
