- paddedroom, on 10/15/2009, -1/+18no wonder the kid was found hiding in the attic, he wanted to be saved from his crazy parents!
- CoreyFC, on 10/16/2009, -0/+16Lets give this publicity starved family more attention!
Buried as lame. - mrgeekguy, on 10/16/2009, -0/+9IN A FREAKING BOX
- jetboyterp, on 10/16/2009, -2/+11This was the most surreal thing to watch on the news as the story unfolded...this "UFO"-shaped balloon floating at high speed, with a little "basket" on the bottom, supposedly some 6 year old kid in it... helicopters and a string of cars and ambulances after it...thing lands, no kid inside...all the news outlets going through the video tape to see if anything (well, the kid) fell out and they missed it...Kid ends up in the family attic.
Just...strange. - jthhtj, on 10/16/2009, -0/+8The family should have to cover the search and rescue costs. *****' insane people, ugh.
- Kruse, on 10/16/2009, -0/+8So does the father...in fact, maybe the whole damn family.

- drmobutu, on 10/16/2009, -2/+8This is an outrage! I'm watching them on CNN, right now...I demand that kid get a spanking, on national television...
- BeShirtHappy, on 10/15/2009, -7/+13I think these parents are whacked. You don't drag your children around chasing storms.
- Benjigga, on 10/16/2009, -0/+6They like to put on shows
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI6UONWCq7A - jthhtj, on 10/16/2009, -1/+6It's the parent's fault not the child's!
- JoLoMoJu, on 10/16/2009, -1/+6When I was 6 I got bit by a dog. After having half the entire police department and fire department plus the local Boyscouts out looking for this "dog" I finally confessed I had disobeyed the rules and had ran through the neighbors yard where I had been expressly forbidden from going. I was more afraid of getting in trouble then telling the truth. I watched my dad apologize to the the police, they said "boys will be boys" and were happy I was ok....
I can relate, this is a great story! - XxModestMousexX, on 10/16/2009, -0/+4How about the kids music video

- OverDriven, on 10/16/2009, -0/+4Please don't give these whack jobs the publicity they are starving for.
- drmobutu, on 10/16/2009, -0/+3Now Dad is getting defensive...
- storm8956, on 10/16/2009, -0/+3Come on! His parents aren't crazy. His dad is a esteemed "science detective". Look, he found photographic evidence of ancient structures on Mars - proof of former Martian civilization. NASA is covering up!
http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-65430 - Mistaxe, on 10/15/2009, -0/+3Oh? You haven't heard?
- jthhtj, on 10/16/2009, -0/+3What a year for the Heenes...
The parents need to take some parenting classes, though. - cport1, on 10/15/2009, -0/+3those poor kids...
- arenas46, on 10/15/2009, -0/+2Imagine the stories he will tell...
- Brak710101, on 10/16/2009, -1/+3Riveting story, chap!
- MadEnvoy, on 10/16/2009, -0/+2Egad! Those clothes are despicable.
I'd bury you twice if I could. - fadetoone, on 10/16/2009, -1/+3I'm pretty sure the girls I went to high school with would have considered a couple guys with videos of themselves chasing storms to be pretty big nerds... but maybe that was just my high school.

Geeks. - geoboy, on 10/16/2009, -1/+3Yeah, I wish my family consisted of a bunch of media attention-seeking whores.
- bringitontimx, on 10/16/2009, -0/+2These kids are gonna be odd adults.
- Benjigga, on 10/16/2009, -0/+2Yea but they were doing it for a show, so that's okay.

- drmobutu, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1It's not like he actually went up in the balloon...THAT would be a story!
- mrdude4290, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1cool...
- TigerStar337, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1Balloon Boy says, "We did it for show."
When Wolf Blitzer asked Falcon Heene a few minutes ago why he didn't come out of the attic when his parents called for him, the little boy said to his father, "You guys said that we did this for show."

- VelvetoneFusion, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1I'd wager that was dad, ***** himself.
- drmobutu, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1yeah, I know...still watching...CNN is all over his ass, now...
- TigerStar337, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1On CNN, "Balloon Boy" Falcon Henne Admits: "We Did This For The Show" Then he farts...really!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI6UONWCq7A - wassim2k, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1"Falcon", "Rio", what are the name of the other kids?
- anotherjack, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1I think it's hot. But then, I <3 nerds.
- Van3ck, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1Really? That's why at the end of the clip they are filming someone's destroyed home and property yelling "YOU GOT THAT SON?!" while he is filming...
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/16/2009, -0/+1wife swap... ha ha, end of civilization.
- inactive, on 10/16/2009, -1/+2Looks like the kid just gave a statement: http://imgur.com/RP0Yi
- Miamisun, on 10/16/2009, -1/+1exactly. ***** parents did not even try to get on the news.
- anotherjack, on 10/16/2009, -1/+1They aren't gawking at the storm victims, they are gawking at the storm. This family is nuts, but they aren't sociopaths gleefully seeking survivors to document.
- anotherjack, on 10/16/2009, -1/+1It's not "destroyed property" that they're interested in. It's a house on it's side. It's interesting. It's like a hippo on a whale or the Eiffel tower upside down - things where they do not belong or oriented funky are interesting. If I saw a car in a tree I'd film it too, does that mean I disrespect the car owner and feed off his pain?
