- psiaii, on 05/21/2008, -1/+39I wonder how much will cost an apartment at highest level
- walkingdogs, on 05/21/2008, -2/+38Yes it may the tallest building in the world but unlike Chicago they will not have a metallic dildo as part of their skyline. I speak of the spire going up.

- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -8/+42Oh thats just the new Halliburton building after they moved to Dubai.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -1/+31What if those aircraft beacon lights need to be changed?
- Mutton, on 05/21/2008, -1/+23Not it.
- bxblox, on 05/21/2008, -0/+201 mil? thats a 1 bedroom in nyc.. Id estimate more around 4-6m
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -4/+22Again ...Dubai ...in the race to dominate the world.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -2/+19This building is extraordinary. I never thought that it could get this high and when I heard that in Kuwait will be built an 1000m structure I was simply amazed. This will attract millions of tourists. Congratulations to the designers. Love to see more like this!
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -1/+18Chicago is getting the shaft with this one.
- spammishking, on 05/21/2008, -0/+13I wonder how long it takes to go from the bottom to the top in a ½ mile long elevator. Could you imagine if you get in and someone had pressed every floor button.
- antonio97b, on 05/21/2008, -0/+12BASE jumpers.
- RegularJohn, on 05/21/2008, -1/+13this isn't ready yet, right ?

"all will be perfect until bin laden will crash one of his airplanes into it"
wow, just wow. - GhostyBoy, on 05/21/2008, -5/+15Aw man...that sucks for Canada...
What do you mean "never heard of it"? CANADA! It's huge and right above the U.S.! What do you mean "doesn't ring a bell"? Think hockey, beer....no, no we don't live in igloos....aw ***** it, nevermind. - paradox4190, on 05/21/2008, -2/+11I wonder what the tallest non man-made building is.
- shondell, on 05/21/2008, -0/+9dominate the world's architectural records...
- krismanx, on 05/21/2008, -0/+81000m = 1 km
- petska, on 05/21/2008, -3/+11i dunno, in barrels of oil or US Dollars?
- Abomonog, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7There was a study done some years (like 30) back on how high a building could get. The limit was something in the area of 1.6 miles before the rotation of the earth alone would knock it down. I don't see us getting that high but if these governments get ballsy enough we could see one go at least a kilometer if not an entire mile high in our lifetime.
- Mutton, on 05/21/2008, -2/+9That's what she said.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7I hope it is just you. Being afraid to build because of some fanatics is certainty the wrong message to send to others, and our own people.
- antonio97b, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7I wonder what the window washers will be paid.
- suntzusputnik, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7there's another building going up in dubai that's planned out be taller, the Al Burj
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Burj - robertm857, on 05/21/2008, -2/+8Except for the fact that oil's contribution to Dubai's GDP was only 5.1% in 2006 and the UAE has the 3rd largest non-oil GDP in the middle east behind Egypt and Morrocco...
Dubai is turning into a tourist town they realize that their oil is running out and are shifting their focus to other sectors so when it does run out they aren't completely hosed. Dubai has very little, if any bearing on our gas prices - encrypter, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Get a peniscopter to do it.
- lucidguru, on 05/21/2008, -1/+7I've read that the upper floors of these super tall buildings sway like a boat and make a lot of people sick. I guess it's the price you pay for living so high up.
- Metatron197, on 05/21/2008, -1/+7me?
- DeskFlyer, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Hawaii.
- FadieZ, on 05/21/2008, -1/+7But it even it if it they it didn't it build it more it it would it still it be it the it tallest it building it in it the it world.
- romistrub, on 05/21/2008, -2/+8Me.
- romistrub, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Someone call the cops, this guy was clearly forced to spam at gunpoint...
- gfisher2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6The structure that it surpassed (the Warsaw Radio Mast) actually collapsed in 1991 so technically it already was the tallest building. Now it's the tallest ever, standing or collapsed!
- adith, on 05/21/2008, -2/+7Dubai needs to work on the names for their buildings. We've already got a hotel called the Burj al-Arab (The Tower of the Arabs) and now we have the Burj Dubai (The Tower of Dubai) and there's another proposed building that will just be called The Burj (The Tower). It seems they could be a little more creative.
- N1tro, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5i think it would be cool but dont these things sway when your up that high?
- guillebravo6, on 05/21/2008, -3/+8Yeah how much is it to live in the penthouse here? I'm sure it is a amazing view! They will have the tallest man-made structure until Kuwait’s Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir beats it in 2012
- petska, on 05/21/2008, -5/+10hey its not all bad, when the US becomes a third world country, the US could go and 911 their buildings
jk of course - TecK415, on 05/21/2008, -3/+8Am I the only one who wouldn't want to live 646 meters above the ***** ground?
- Abomonog, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5In the Sears Tower you never notice it going 6 ft. in a sway.
- Daniel591992, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5I'm pretty certain it'll be as fast as it is for someone in the middle level...
;) - bryceman111, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5The real reason for 9/11: Bin Laden ***** hates tall ass buildings!
- WikiEasy, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5My penis
- chocobomog, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5If you fill the entire map with these Arcologies they will eventually launch into space in the year 2051 representing the end of the game. Then you start over and do it all again.
- ryan83189, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4*****.
- murphygr, on 05/21/2008, -2/+6They're building stuff like this in Dubai to attract people to visit. They know their oil isn't forever and they want a reason for people to go and spend their money there.
- bxblox, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4Buildings that are around this height will most likely have express elevators that only make 4 stops max. If your going to the 114 floor you take the express to 100 and then switch to a regular elevator or take the stairs (even though 14 flights of steps is ridiculous).
- CerealFan, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4Calatrava's Spire a metallic dildo? His Spire is like a tootsie-roll or perhaps a needle, but Norman Foster's Gherkin in London is a proper dildo.

- atlquaker, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4I hate to see what happens when the elevator breaks...
