- DMoney16, on 11/08/2009, -0/+11What? No Ice Hotel? Granted, the list is supposed to be about Hotels made of found objects, but they had a sand hotel in the list. The Ice Hotel is way cooler than a sand hotel. Link: http://www.icehotel-canada.com/images.php?action=v ...
- jrm125, on 11/08/2009, -0/+11Some cool stuff. The sand hotel seems a little frightening for late night activities though.
- borez, on 11/08/2009, -0/+7Just FTR which of these object were actually found?
- DiggieDarko, on 11/08/2009, -0/+6The covered wagon one looks cozy.
- jdeane, on 11/08/2009, -0/+4I would love to own a 727 house (not hotel) like on page 3.
- StigNordas, on 11/08/2009, -0/+4That sand hotel looks gross.
- Acidrain77, on 11/08/2009, -0/+4In the 3rd one with the sand is that kid taking a crap in the "sand toilet"?
- lostngone, on 11/08/2009, -0/+3O come on!!! Are you telling be us you have NEVER just been walking around and found a Boeing 727? Happens to me all the time.
- meandnips, on 11/08/2009, -0/+3I think the airplane in Costa Rica would give me nightmares. I've seen too many movies with crashed planes in trees, complete with skeletons!
- skiier239, on 11/08/2009, -0/+3Dugg for New Zealand
- tastybbq, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2Agreed. If the sand hotel counts, the ice should too. I could be wrong but I think a lot of the structure is made out of ice cut from a lake.
- yohasakura, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2I wonder how long they built this hotel and how long they collect that "sand" hotel. Got any answer for me? Thanks!
- yohasakura, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2sand toilet? hehe..kinda funny!
- isny, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Especially with an extra neighbor only a few feet away.
- shauncullen, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2That sewage pipe one looks like it would be cool to stay in. Real affordable housing, like sea cans. Build a house out of sewage pipe and sea cans. Durable, modern style, cyberpunk. Wood and plaster are for chumps.
- DulcetTone, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2Buried for being divinecaroline until such time as the OBVIOUS kickback scheme between this otherwise-offline website and Digg is spelled out clearly.
Has anyone got a shortcut to this website in their browser? Has anyone ever visited it except through a link from digg?
Payola. - Maddie69, on 11/08/2009, -1/+2The airplane is cool, though it looks a little precarious - I might be afraid of too much weight in the front. Also, being from the south, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to bring myself to pay money to stay in a trailer park - never know when the odd tornado might rip through.
- bmiami69, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1kool ideas
- civilizedevil, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1That water at Jules Undersea Lodge in Florida looks disgusting, I know exactly how that underwater room smells just by looking at it.
- DMoney16, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1I guess that's true. But then stone and other building materials can be "found" as well. In any case, in a list of hotels made out of unique materials, they missed a really cool one, no pun intended.
- skipvt, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1I'm thinking of opening the "Refrigerator Box Hotel". Minimal amenities, but a great downtown location.
- danconia, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Can ice not be found?
- swantamer, on 11/08/2009, -3/+2Buried for too many clicks which is a shame because it looked like a good piece.
