http://www.triptouch.com/belize/corozal/photos.php ... - davidsmero, on 02/21/2008, -5/+25So that's where all those scams come from...
- Kelly627, on 02/21/2008, -5/+20I dont get whats so cool
- PocketWatch, on 02/21/2008, -0/+13Did anyone else think this was going to be about computers at a Belize internet cafe having Open Office installed?
- sockpuppets, on 02/21/2008, -0/+12The hooker cafe is cheaper.
- timothiuz, on 02/21/2008, -0/+11I won't feel safe watching porn there.......
- sockpuppets, on 02/21/2008, -0/+9They're camouflaged from US airstrikes.
- nmcvicke, on 02/21/2008, -3/+11I see what you did there...
- greenlight2001, on 02/21/2008, -0/+8They better fap quickly.
- bxblox, on 02/21/2008, -0/+7not too confident there
- noots, on 02/21/2008, -0/+6i've got a feeling the connection + bandwidth they use doesn't come cheap.
$12 for 8 min will ensure you're not ***** around doing pointless ***** (like browsing digg) for hours on end. - Zaxcomp, on 02/21/2008, -1/+7That'd be Nigeria. Not Belize.
- MuffinPatrol, on 02/21/2008, -0/+6I wonder if that 8 minutes includes getting on the internet, because with dial up you would have about 30 seconds left to surf.
- Whippets, on 02/21/2008, -1/+7What no chairs?
- sgtbutterscotch, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5Haha, you just owned him at probably the one chance on Digg he will have to make such an easy segue from the story to his spam.
- nullcodes, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5Besides the great diving which Belize is famous for .. there is a lot more to see and do in Belize, such as Maya ruins, kayaking, and wildlife (check it out via some great boat trips).
- inactive, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5Your screen name is compuclean?
So all you talk about in Digg's comments is how people should clean their computers? - inactive, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5That's what? LIke 2-3 Myspace profile views? Addicts will pay it
- CayoHuesoDude, on 02/21/2008, -2/+7If you're in Belize and you need the internets.....
You are Retarded. - ajchavar, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5its un-belize-able!
- sluggoo, on 02/21/2008, -0/+5Well, to be fair, each computer has a dedicated OC-3072 line (160 Gbits/s). So that dude to the left just downloaded the Internet.
- d3sp, on 02/21/2008, -0/+4hahahaha
- sockpuppets, on 02/21/2008, -0/+4A cucumber and a friend that can keep a secret.
- pixelguru, on 02/21/2008, -0/+4Belize is in Central America, so he would have been mauled by a Jaguar, not a lion.
- mejason69, on 02/21/2008, -0/+4Dugg just for being about Belize.... home sweet home!!
- gordonf238, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3Geez, is that how low the US currency has sunk?
- nullcodes, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3I've been to Belize many times. There is a funny story about how one of the cayes (was told probably St. George's Caye but that seems unlikely to me) at one time had only one road and two cars. And somehow those two cars found a way to get in an accident. Actually I was told that same story as occurring in the Bahamas some time later .. so admittedly the credibility is iffy.
Everyone should visit Belize. You may want to take mosquito repellant too though. - TheSesom, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3I bet it is slow as hell...
- modusop, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3Dude, Belize is SO not the part of the world you're thinking about.
- vortexgenerator, on 02/21/2008, -1/+4Nice! Great shameless self promotion!!
- pixelguru, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3I believe it was called "Coconet".
- brownspank, on 02/21/2008, -0/+38 minutes is more than enough.
- Fxer, on 02/21/2008, -1/+4You lazy city-dwellers.
I know I'll be dugg down, but it had to be said. - keerf, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3Yeah, what the hell?
- mejason69, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3I'm from Belize now living in Miami, fl. Tourist who are about to die cuz they can't check their email pay whatever the locals ask. Its not dial up, its 256k DSL, ;-) Not much better but its better than dial up.
- MuffinPatrol, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3Thats 5 extra dollars a minute.
- lololololol, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3I bet it's a Mac. lolgay
- cmallinson, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2I doubt this has to do with bandwidth. I was in Belize in 2000, and there was an internet cafe in Placencia that had a decent connection, and was only a couple of bucks for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the whole town was obliterated by Hurricane Iris about a year later...
- mejason69, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2get a map dude!
- Bologner, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2Hope they don't get bullet ants.
- phanfromcheese, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2Reminds me of those CDW commercials.
- autocracy, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2Belize currency is "pegged" to the US dollar. 1 USD:2 BZ; fixed rate.
- hydratedsquash, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2In the nature.
- pixelguru, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2When I was in Belize in 2001, there was an internet cafe in San Pedro called "Coconet". It was much more substantial than this though, but considering that the streets were sand and the whole island traveled on bicycles and golf carts, substantial is relative.
- greenlight2001, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2Speak for yourself.
- mozert, on 02/21/2008, -0/+1worse than a PaulBot
- merc22, on 02/21/2008, -0/+1I was at a Belize jungle lodge two summers ago with a buddy. There was no telephone, but $20 for 15 minutes of internet access. He was so addicted to tech that he had to use it. I guess he barely got one email off before the time ran out. The connection was about 14K or less. I am familiar with those speeds in 1994, so I passed on the opportunity.
