- mark076h, on 01/04/2009, -1/+28That's pretty cool, it reloads the adsense box every time you click i wonder how much ad revenue they could get from this.

- untreadatom, on 01/04/2009, -1/+3***** brilliant. I only wish you could go in further and get more specific with pictures from particular spots. But what the ***** do I know? = emecks hit the ***** on the head. I can totally see myself staring at this ***** for days.
- Travelpilot, on 01/04/2009, -1/+3An exceptional site, interesting with great photos.
- jtotheoe, on 01/04/2009, -1/+3click the very tip of somalia... it goes crazy. says its india or thailand and shows pictures of god knows what.
- Hello1024, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2The adsense reload is a fraud - it breaks googles ToS, and they will likley never get any of the ad money if google finds out.
The reason is because it tricks the ad engine into thinking you're looking at one thing when in fact you're looking at another - for example:
The ads for paris are in this iframe:
http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?clie ...
but the URL google "sees" to make the ad content is this:
http://www.earthalbum.com/cheap_flights/Paris
And that page is just filled with keywords to make as much revenue as possible, and it looks like computer generated content with the word paris inserted randomly as well. It looks like it's been designed to hit high value keywords. - alexmuller, on 01/04/2009, -1/+3What can you do with this that you can't do with Flickr Places...? http://flickr.com/places/China
- gullevek, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2If you like to get just crappy HDR ***** pictures ... for everything else http://loc.alize.us is much better
- awfulgrace, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1It does get pretty darn specific. I zoomed in on my street and it gave a string of pictures taken on my block.
- urgeigh, on 01/05/2009, -0/+1Why does digg censor "bad" words if you're not logged in? :o
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+1Site is down, very slick...
- awfulgrace, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1Although the header only says the nearest region, if you keep zooming in the pictures are localized to the box you've clicked in.
- travelmonk, on 01/26/2009, -0/+1Also try http://www.journeyetc.com/ for more lovely pics!

- virtualonliner, on 01/04/2009, -1/+1If I am not wrong there are a few other mashups do exactly this (I am saying it from the title as the link seems to be dead. They need an awesome server I guess).
- eachgear, on 01/05/2009, -1/+0it's an useful map.
- darkcss, on 01/04/2009, -6/+4Yea, I don't like it. Nothing special.
