- willdelaney, on 03/03/2008, -5/+31Thats not that amazing really.
- pearlfender2, on 03/03/2008, -2/+28at least when your bag gets lost you'll have a nice place to wait for it
- tmbrwolf19, on 03/03/2008, -1/+17Visually looks very similar to most of the more modern airports out there. Toronto's Pearson International Airport, Terminal 3 comes to mind when I look at these photos. For the most part, I think modern architects are all going for that same feeling with these airports.
- jdbeast00, on 03/03/2008, -2/+13Well shuck my corn, another airport terminal.
- MrFisty, on 03/03/2008, -2/+12Take another photo in six months time when it's full of angry, whinging tourists and see how many diggs it gets.
- NathanCH, on 03/03/2008, -1/+10Yes
- StrawberryFrog, on 03/03/2008, -2/+11So they'll confiscate your water and all those expensive new shops will sell you some more. It looks great, but there aren't many seats, and even fewer power points for laptops. if they did any market research before building T5, they did it with retailers not travellers.
- Frost9999, on 03/03/2008, -2/+8A huge shopping mall with plenty of space, and well staffed. Meanwhile check-in, security, boarding, passport control, baggage collection, customs, and public transport links are still badly implemented in the other 4 terminals at Heathrow. But nice shopping mall you built there.. good money-trap.
- soupr, on 03/03/2008, -1/+6Heathrow needed a facelift. After coming back from Sydney, where squeaky-clean is the standard. Heathrow was almost as bad as Paris.
- atgmac, on 03/03/2008, -0/+5Nowhere is as bad as Charles de Gaulle.
- NathanCH, on 03/03/2008, -3/+7Amazing. Panoramic photos are always great but even better when done like this.
- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4I'd only digg this up if it was a new Terminal that didn't give you all that post-911 ***** like sir please take off your coat, jacket, shirt, undies etc etc, just in case of bombs even though we HAVE A ***** METAL DETECTOR!!. Buried.
- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -0/+3Actually you're wrong. See: LAX
- DanOnTheMoon, on 03/03/2008, -1/+4when I was 14 some pervert frisked me down at Heathrow.
- jmskyrocket, on 03/03/2008, -3/+6Yawn.
- kiwiboyus, on 03/03/2008, -0/+3Changed planes in Toronto last year, very nice Airport. We flew out of Heathrow coming home, oh boy did THAT suck. We had to walk from one side to the other to get to our plane and for some of the time we were even outside.
- ChayD, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3lol! Wetherspoons - The Starbucks of Pubs.
- osbjmg, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2You've been "too" ? Seriously?
- domokunt, on 03/03/2008, -1/+3Dugg for being true, at least 4/5ths of it anyway.
- Dtopler, on 03/03/2008, -1/+3Looks a lot like any other modernized large airport. I've yet to see a nicer one than the Munich International Airport.
- wellyuk, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2Except you can rarely see one Wetherspoons from the inside of another Wetherspoons.
Starbucks - The McDonalds of Coffee Shops. - km00, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2Looks a lot like Toronto's Terminal 1.. except much larger. But I guess this 'wing' design is getting pretty popular these days...

- guillebravo6, on 03/03/2008, -2/+3Doesn't look that amazing to me. Oh well, we'll see when I go and visit, haha, right....
- fani, on 03/03/2008, -2/+3Awww. I really wanted to see Terminal 2. I'm bummed now that its Terminal 5
- globalhobo, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1dallas airport looks way cooler!
- Dysanovic, on 03/03/2008, -1/+2Huge terminal but there are barely any chairs for people to sit down!
Apparently they've done this on purpose; instead of standing around they hope that people go shopping instead! - rdoger6424, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1Is it won't-mind-the-4-hour-layover nice?
- wedges, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1looks like a smoother, international version of DIA.
- Dtopler, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1Amen. There are NEVER enough power ports for charging electronics while you wait. Why the hell don't airport developers realize this? Trying to cut down some energy use? Come on.
- 360photo, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1Why are they so poor in quality? The horizons are really bad, nothing is level with poor stitching errors. While I am a fan of qtvr I do not understand why the Telegraph are they using an amatures images? Maybe they were hand held but I cant imagine why.
- bmystry, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1Dell must be making a ***** ton of money selling monitors and stuff to governments and company's.
- wedges, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1as always, QTVR's of new architecture make me smile.
- DrTubes, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1Where's the 360º view of the Wetherspoon's for this terminal?
- arbouler, on 03/03/2008, -3/+4any 360 degree pic can look good doesnt mean it deserves to be called amazing...
digg me down all you like, but this is just overhyped... - lonelycoo, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1I want to go see it now, and climb on that huge number 5 like a kid.
- paweenthas, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1Where is Harry Potter?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amazing beautiful beach and Island at Krabi >> http://www.krabiphiphi.com - csnoke, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1From a technical point of view the stitching is rather sloppy... notice how the floor tiles don't match up? Kinda hackish.
- scstraus, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1No new terminal is going to convince me that flying through heathrow is a good idea when I get there and they ask me to check my second carry on bag- the only airport in the world that does that. 30 minutes of security checks to transfer flights? You can keep your terminal, I'll connect through frankfurt, thanks.
- spudnic, on 03/05/2008, -0/+1Which company's what?
- Brainsss, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1Looks like LAX... big deal
- bgmowen, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1This terminal better be better. I already dread going through heathrow.
- ChayD, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1Yet another St Pancras (refurbished channel tunnel station in London for those who don't know),
all nice and shiny looking until you go down to the tube station, which is a pile of crap
full of skanky late-running trains (due to "Signal Failure" - whatever the f**k that means). - atgmac, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1*Rolls eyes*
- sunsetdragon, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1Erm... I'm sorry to say it but this really just isn't that impressive. I expected something a bit better from a former world power... China's new Beijing airport is much more marvellous. Fair enough the Brits did design it. But the airport at Abu Dhabi is by far the best I've seen, with amazing ceramic tiling covering the roof. Spectacular. Check out this pic: http://www.airport-technology.com/projects/abu_dha ... . It's even better in real life!!
- domokunt, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1I went from Heathrow to LAX, quite liked LAX apart from the taxiing time it takes.
- greydonkey, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1I can't get excited about it at all. It looks like a big cow shed. No imagination whatsoever, typical that us Brits build something that looks out of date before it's even open. I'm disappointed to say the least.
- spudnic, on 03/05/2008, -0/+1Except Wetherspoons sell extremely cheap drinks, whereas Starbucks do not.
