- Maxwell1234, on 11/11/2009, -0/+18I thought this was going to be an article about FedEx...
- Fishnchipsman, on 11/11/2009, -1/+15That Freedom Ship looks pretty sweet. Wouldn't want a room on the inside though.
- Sexercise, on 11/11/2009, -3/+14I liked the part with the HALF A PAGE OF ***** ADS
- Frecklefoot, on 11/11/2009, -0/+9I'd like to see a Zumwalt-class destroyer and a Visby-class stealth corvette go head to head. Who would win?
Or better yet, a Zumwalt and a Visby versus the Oasis of The Seas. Would they be able to sink it before they ran out of ammo? - phleef, on 11/12/2009, -0/+5The article was *slightly* interesting, while very poorly written. But that website -- what a pretentious heap of internet garbage. I'd rather spend an evening huffing a paper bag filled with pig ***** and acetone than use my computer and browser to display that tutti-fruity, script-ridden, old lady diarrhea-heap of an excuse for a website ever again.

"Modern shipping world" < "Future shipping world" - ozmbie, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5I really wish people would stop putting 'freedom' in the names of things.
- Jeff901, on 11/12/2009, -0/+4The idea of large ships is great.
The biggest problem with large ships is the fact that most ports can not take these ships as they are too shallow.....they can dock empty, but that is about it....
Port Elizabeth in NJ, being taking in most of the goods for the easter seaboard of the US, can't take some supertankers due to shallow berths....plans to dredge the area have been drawn up, but decades of shipping means that the silt is polluted and will take alot of effort to do properly. - thejimmycar, on 11/12/2009, -0/+3That don't actually exist...
- fernsterno123, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1that Modern ?

- sanman, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1we need this in outer space
- conceptracr, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Fail. The New York is an LPD. It's not even the first one but the 5th San Antonio class LPDs. I was at the commissioning of the San Antonia and trust me they are transport ships, not destroyers. They have a prototype(the DDX) of these new destroyers that came into Norfolk a few years back when I was stationed there.
- Trick07, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1I couldn't find much on the Batillus class supertanker and why they only lasted about 10 years... did their size have something to do with it? Or the cost?
- Phoghat, on 11/12/2009, -1/+1The First Zumwalt Class Destroyer has been built. U.S.S. New York containing some steel from the Twin Towers sailed into NY Harbor on Veterans Day
- Darrelc, on 11/12/2009, -2/+1***** ***** 'social' toolbar existing for no reason except to hopeful garner pageviews and to slow my scrolling down.
