- angel.wardriver, on 09/03/2009, -0/+14Base jumping looks insane or insanely fun!
- fuzzyllama, on 09/03/2009, -0/+14Stunning!
- mtnboy, on 09/03/2009, -0/+12These are some beautiful places. This reminds me why I love Mother nature.
- pwarnock, on 09/03/2009, -0/+11I heard on TED or something that Space has been explored more than our seas and caverns.
- lydiasky, on 09/03/2009, -0/+9I still have fond memories of exploring a limestone cave for a school field trip when I was seven. The sight was so beautiful that more than ten years later, I still remember.
- mwtapp, on 10/11/2009, -0/+7I think spelunking is like exploring in the woods x10
- SpamDog, on 09/04/2009, -0/+2I went caving with my wife once before we got married, and it scared the crap out of me. The thought of being in a space so tight that you have to decide which way to turn your head still scares the crap out of me! Though I must admit I saw some of the most beautiful spaces I have ever seen...
- TequilaCollins, on 09/04/2009, -0/+2I've been caving (not spelunking) for about 12 years now. It's always a lot of fun. I've taken many, many first timers and the great majority of them can't wait to go again.
If you want to give it try yourself, find a local caving club through the National Speleological Society at www.caves.org (USA only, not sure who to contact in other countries). - RobbieF, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Those would send me into some sort of completely irrational panic attack, I think.
- inactive, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Don't forget to bring the million dollar tactical infantry batsuit.
- nategri, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Read "Spelunkers and Cadavers."
- PanicAK, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Spelunking, hehehe.
- deathandtaverns, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Thank you for taking pictures so that I can see these places without ever having to set foot in them. I'll never understand why people do these things.
The first half hour or so of the movie the Descent would give me panic attacks, but once the monsters showed up and it wasn't all people crawling through tight spaces I actually kind of liked it. Screw caves
