- solmakou, on 01/07/2009, -1/+17700 million of the votes expected to come from one "MrBabyMan"
- SkippyDoorknob, on 01/07/2009, -1/+13So you do care at least a little?
Or did you mean that you could NOT care less? - Shogi, on 01/07/2009, -2/+13http://www.new7wonders.com/
There's some really amazing stuff in there. - garryw, on 01/07/2009, -0/+10no monster, no loch ness vote
- pumacub, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9Yosemite isn't on their list.
- rainierbeer, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8the new7wonders website uses Mt. Hood in its promo materially but it isn't in contention, WTF?
- Fhwqhgads, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7Loch Ness? A lake made famous through decades of ***** and lies is in contention for natural wonders of the world? Are you ***** me?
Maybe the wonders of human gullibility and stupidity maybe. - rr525356, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6This is that same group of people that tried to pull this scam a year and a half ago just to gather publicity. Their website had a bunch of 'ready to use brands' for sale on it. Physorg is quickly losing whatever credibility they had to begin with.
- wiggin, on 01/07/2009, -2/+8Redundant!
- superkendall, on 01/07/2009, -2/+7This is pointless unless everyone voting has been to each and every one. I've been to some amazing places but I don't want to vote for them just because I was there.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -2/+7what a ***** scam
- ancalagon73, on 01/08/2009, -0/+5Here here. Five more to go.
- borez, on 01/07/2009, -1/+6Must we have a top ten ( well seven in this case ) of everything in the world?
- nullcodes, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4top 7 idiotic wonders
1. top 7 lists - designradical, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4To be honest I am pretty excited to see what the outcome is. I'll definitely be putting in my 7 votes.
- nigelbc, on 01/07/2009, -0/+41 billion votes!? hopefully this will allow people to realize how precious these wonders are, and that we need to preserve them at all costs!!
- alphatauri, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4By definition, if something is "natural" it is "of nature". *sigh*
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+41 billion votes but 10 voters
- Bushbasher42, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Sorry, that was with all the wonders and not just natural ones. My bad.
- Shadic, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3They should have used Mt. Rainier instead.
- Bushbasher42, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Didn't something like this already happen?
- diggdiggerid, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3This is obviously a typo.
- ghostrc, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3This website doesn't seem very official for a 1 billion person vote. Seriously google ads? Who runs this site anyways?
- simpletonian, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Natural wonders of nature??
- poidh, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3There are far more beautiful places in the UK than Loch Ness, but yes, just because everyone has heard of it.
- serif69, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3The group of enormous prehistoric animals that are often spotted there?
Seriously, have you seen what those Loch Ness Monster believers look like? - NecroSexy, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3This is idiotic.
- GovernmentsGun, on 01/07/2009, -1/+4I don't get this. Is this actually sanctioned by any academic body? Because it seems to me this is some large advertising stunt and someone is making a lot of money off of it.
- SoCalChris, on 01/07/2009, -3/+6Neither is Yellowstone, Glacier Park, or the Tetons. Those are three extremely famous areas that should be on the list that I could think of off the top of my head that weren't on there.
And who are these people? I'm guessing it's just some random guy who set up a website, is trying to get a lot of hits, and trying to make some money off of advertising, and managed to get it onto Digg. - diggcensors, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3rick astley?
- hello3u, on 01/08/2009, -0/+21 billion - digg users = vote by MrBabyMan
- nowhereelse, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Too late. It's due to be deposited in my bank account any day now.
- rainierbeer, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2They should have used vitamin R.
- aaronhoffmeyer, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Nominate it then. BTW, it won't win.
- absurdist, on 01/07/2009, -2/+4Submitted by the Department of Redundancy Department?
- poidh, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I had a look at the list and it's useless. It doesn't have a believable list of "wonders of nature".
But hey, I bet that website will get a ton of traffic and make a ton of cash. - nowhereelse, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Surely the top ten top tens would be enough?
- idavidtang, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2In other news, officials say if Loch Ness is picked then they will begin an admissions charge of $3.50.
- mandarin, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Im wondering too. Whats so big about the Loch Ness?
- pumacub, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Go in October on a weekday, the crowds are at a minimum and it's beautiful.
- bushout, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Why should the proletariat have any say? That's how we end up with things like Niagara on the damn list.
- felixthehat, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Cmon, Loch Ness *is* pretty: http://www.flickr.com/search/show/?q=loch+ness& ... though
Also pretty cold and rainy. - adkenc, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2natural wonders are natural.
- m00n1, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2"The quarterfinalists include some lesser known sites, such as ... Nigeria's Zuma Rock, a giant monolith in the middle of the African country."
Funny, I had an email from someone try to sell me that rock just yesterday. - tnoy, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Steve does.
- serif69, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2No, lokjvdm is obviously a typo.
- takeo1775, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2I'm scottish, I have no problem saying its just a boring lake, look somewhere else for wonder. Irn Bru Factory.
- Retsam06, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Eh... considering I'm from Brazil, this may be a little biased, but I really, really hope that the Amazon and Iguacu Falls make it.
I mean, the Amazon is hugely important, and Iguacu Falls is just spectacular. Roaring waterfalls and jungles just seem a lot cooler to me than a mountain, or Loch Ness. - Stormwern, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2If they are expecting to get a billion votes, there will be alot of indian and chinese wonders I reckon.
