- waspbr, on 07/01/2009, -0/+8I am pretty sure I am a geek but I wouldn't like to go to any of those places
- ubernoggin, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6Space Camp for adults would almost be enough to get me to go to Huntsville.
- Jeebugorn, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4i already made my wife promise that we can go to NZ. i just have to take her to Ireland first. win win situation for me
- JacquesAzz, on 07/01/2009, -0/+3Dragoncon should top the list. It's one of the greatest shows in the solar system.
www.dragoncon.org - dgendreau, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4Digg is not Twitter. We dont care about your *****.
- dgendreau, on 07/01/2009, -0/+3buried for being surprised
- morcheeba, on 07/01/2009, -0/+2I've made a pilgrimage to the place where HP designed my calculator, stood in line to witness the unabomber trial (didn't get in), and visited los alamos and hiroshima.
- Elranzer, on 07/01/2009, -2/+3I think more geeks would benefit from "sex tourism" than these destinations.
Vacations are all about experiences you can't get at home, you know! - Jeebugorn, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1agreed. DC is an awesome experience. cant wait until i can go get a chance to go again.
- DirtPile, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1Why spend the summer playing baseball when you can stay inside and count?
- SirLowKey, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1No Tokyo Ginza Shopping spree?
- PinkThing, on 10/15/2009, -0/+1Write an Apple Mac Applicaiton as yoou bushwalk -- see 'thegreatnorthwalk.com'
- WraTH017, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1I loved the comic con... That is, until G4 made it popular with the wrong crowds (people who watch G4).
So now it's less about comics, and more about everything else (tv, movies, videogames, anime, role playing games, etc.). I'm not attending this year... tickets sold out in a hurry.
If that's what people want, power to them. I think though, if you're a comic book geek... the comic con is becoming less of a place for you every year. - newquayweb, on 07/23/2009, -0/+1thanks! now i finally found out why people find me different... with all the comic cons, cosplays and astronomy related stuff, i know i am a geek!
- V2Blast, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1There's definitely much more focus on TV shows there now (or so it seems from out here).
- christoast, on 07/01/2009, -1/+1I'd go to *****' Brouge.
/History Geek - maryrsd, on 07/01/2009, -1/+0I think you also forgot to mention all the computer trade shows around the world. I remember hearing a hilarious story years ago about a dating agency that tried to organize a meet and greet for women and all the young dot com millionaires in Silicon Valley. Little did the organizers know that they chose a terrible day-- same day as a Microsoft convention. Poor attendance at the meet and greet, needless to say!
- lamecore, on 07/01/2009, -3/+1No mention of Otakon? :(
- designbydave, on 07/01/2009, -5/+1i have to take a *****
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -7/+1I caught a live show of "They Might Be Giants" at the Equestrian Center in Marlboro, Maryland (the first "HFStival") and they really impressed me. I was surprized to find they are really great musicians.
