- jonnyboy1544, on 09/09/2008, -2/+17Hmm... all 11 are either from Alaska, Germany, Cape Cod or Chile... couldn't national geographic spring for a plane ticket to St. Lucia?
- juliohm, on 09/09/2008, -1/+11again... BURRIED FOR HAVING MORE THAN ONE PAGE!
- ScottMcIntyre, on 09/09/2008, -1/+11Stunning collection of photos. The image of the Arctic Ocean near Igloolik, Canada is really unusual- all you can see is ripples on very blue water- no land at all.
- HumanityLost, on 09/09/2008, -1/+10Good pictures, but what's wrong with just putting all the pictures on one page?
- craznar, on 09/09/2008, -0/+8North America 7, Germany 2 ... rest of the world 2.
Sounds a little biased to me. - MacBookForMe, on 09/09/2008, -1/+8I really enjoy at any coastal area, really...
- inactive, on 09/09/2008, -0/+7Completely missed Newfoundland.

-N - mikesoba, on 09/09/2008, -0/+6Where does the article claim these are the 11 "most beautifu"l? Some arre pictures of sand bars and of water only. Title is misleading.
- inactive, on 09/09/2008, -1/+7Oh, I get to complain first?
Have to load whole page again every time you click next photo!! Gahhh
Nevertheless, nice pics - bonjourmr, on 09/09/2008, -0/+5Wollongong.
- jwolcott, on 09/09/2008, -0/+4Also, pro-US bias much?
- Bhatch514, on 09/09/2008, -0/+4Greece?
- stinkypinky72, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3Inaccurate. I don't see Cleethorpes beach in the article.
- illdourmum, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3really?
- VDGG, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3None of the UK!, most of the coastline here is impressive.
pah! - tsunamisteve, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3The first photo could be nice if the photographer knew what a level horizon looked like.
- inactive, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3Good photos accept photo 8 (image of the Arctic Ocean ) - is this photo or paintbrush :)
- frontaxle, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3Cape of Good Hope South Africa?
Tofino, British Columbia?
Santorini Greece?
Dude must live in Cape Cod... - treelovinhippie, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3Yeah Australia has the largest stretch of coastline in the world and not one mention... hmmm.
- jaspalboparai, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2Buried for the wrong title.
You sucker!!!
It is a coastline gallery with 11 pics, agree with the posts above.
Definitely not the most beautiful 11. - jhaydon, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twelve_Apostles_( ...
There you go, and here is one direct to one of the pictures:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3 ... - zerinS4, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2Na'Pali coastline in Kauai is probably the most beautiful coastline I've ever seen.
- lelux, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2Minus the 11 page nonsense:

I would have sex with Cape Kiwanda.....again. - Hoogs, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2I've got to say that this list isn't complete without Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan. It is simply the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and the day I spent at the beach there is one of the best I've ever had.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Pictured_Rocks_ ... - NOCnow, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2I can’t take a list of the most beautiful coastlines seriously when it doesn’t include Norway…you know, with all those lovely crinkly edges.
Disclaimer: Yes, I am Norwegian, but I’m just reporting a purely objective result from the science of stunning coastlines. - eddywolf, on 09/09/2008, -0/+2gotta love the Dalmation coast.
- OfficialJoe, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1I had to select "unhide profanity" to see what you wrote there.
- bonjourmr, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Heh, wonder why?
- flamingduck, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1these photos are more artistic than they are a deciding factor for best shoreline... oh well. I guess there's a post waiting to happen for another aspiring digger.
- scuvball, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Maybe I'm partial because it's the best coastline I've ever seen and I have not seen any of the ones in the link, but they are missing Ireland's Cliffs of Moher.
- EarthernJar, on 09/09/2008, -1/+2The NatGeo folks need to get out a bit more... like to the coasts of Croatia
http://www.strangeproportion.com/images/cradv3.JPG - Oppslagsverk, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Seen better many places here in Norway.
No offence, those pics were great. - DSoM, on 09/09/2008, -3/+4those pictures are crap, so are the costlines.
- nofate2029, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1I've actually been along the Chilean coast before, not to that exact spot, but to another beach. Very beautiful coastline they have down there.
- aoctavio, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Innacurate... The best beaches are in the Caribbean and they were under represented. Go to Venezuela and see the beaches there (try not to get mugged or kidnapped).
- tidu, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1take off the comma ffs. It's not hard
- xbxoxy1, on 09/09/2008, -2/+3astonishing creations by mother nature, just can't get better than this.
- matthobbs05, on 09/10/2008, -0/+1Dugg for truth, and not because of that ***** Sea Cliff Bridge!
- ngageguy, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1I would have dugg this, but if you want to use the picture as wallpaper, it has a stupid National Geographic logo on the bottom of it.
- inactive, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1I drive my car out on Race Point every year, sure it's awesome, but it's nowhere near some stuff I've seen.
- dcmcderm, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Apparently 8 of the 11 most beautiful coastlines of "the world" are from the US. News to me. What a load of crap.
- montanask8, on 09/10/2008, -0/+1these were great and yes there are others but i liked these!
- apoupada, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1They missed tons of beaches, From Greece to Italy to Portugal. MY hometown (Nazare) in Portugal has a very scenic beach
- Greenergrass, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Agree there are so many outbreastaking places in this world, we can't rate natural places!
- illdourmum, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Brazil's got some that beats most of these!!!
- montanask8, on 09/10/2008, -0/+1ugly peeps but amazing photos... just kiddin
- slingr, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1yeah but those pics don't justify newfoundland... that was the first thing i said when i finished checking the article.
.... wtf... no newfoundland? - spanner, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Oh Really?
I guess the photographer doesn't get out very much. There is nothing really special about these photos that justify such a claim to fame.
Overblown hyped title.... -
