- Calculon, on 07/13/2009, -0/+6And what about Victoria Peak in Hong Kong?
- lepetitmousse, on 07/13/2009, -2/+7i thought i was the only one absurdly interested in city skylines.
- waxcrash, on 07/13/2009, -1/+5Chicago is one of the best for skylines. Shot this about 3 years ago at North Avenue Beach. Olive Park in Chicago also has a great view of the city.

- PhoenixAvatar2, on 07/13/2009, -0/+4What's wrong with a top 10 list? It provides a good amount of info in a concise space and it's more interesting to read than a wall of text.
- inefekt, on 07/13/2009, -0/+4I preferred the Avenue of Stars as a place to view the HK skyline. Amazing.
- PterionFracture, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3meh.
- skinrock, on 07/13/2009, -2/+5I'm a little surprised that the US made it 6 out of 10 times in that list.
- EMGroup, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3I knew Seattle had to be in there :)
- Gndoab, on 07/13/2009, -1/+4what a crappy layout for an article
- YoctoYotta, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3I'll be damned, Kerry Park in Seattle is right there near the top of the list. That park was my first thought when I saw the title of the article, but I figured there was probably a dozen or two other skylines in the world that would be preferred by non-Seattleites. Gasworks Park and Alki Beach are another few badass views of downtown Seattle from slightly different angles if you don't mind losing the prominent view of the Space Needle.
- shdwfx, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3When we say "the world" it is understood that it's really the US, with maybe some random token places thrown in. No go away!
/s - shdwfx, on 07/13/2009, -1/+4Yeah, 6 in the US, 4 in other western countries!? My favorite is still Victoria Peak in Hong Kong: http://images.google.com/images?q=victoria+peak
- ripple123, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2heres one of the most awesome skylines ever

- freebird09, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2^^^ man speaks truth. View from Kowloon side is better.
- freebird09, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2ya HK all the way. Although I personally think the view from the Kowloon side is better than the peak but that's just me.
- inactive, on 07/14/2009, -0/+2The Tallinn skyline at the end of Kohtu street is pretty intense too, though it's a bit out of the way if you are living in an English speaking country.
- CptBuck, on 07/13/2009, -1/+3Boston from the Red Line crossing the Charles.
- Pyehole, on 07/13/2009, -2/+3I try to never overlook the beauty around me and I consider myself lucky that two cities I've called home are on this list. And not all skyline pics need to feature the over photographed features, there are a lot of neat views other than the classic ones cited in this article.
Here's one of my favorite Seattle skyline pics taken from a park near the Pike Place Market:

And one of San Francisco, as seen from the USS Hornet in Alameda.

- PhoenixAvatar2, on 07/13/2009, -2/+3Little surprised to not see Belmont Plateau on there for Philly. Beautiful, sweeping view of the city, you can see everything while sitting in the shade of one of the massive trees on the hill. http://media.photobucket.com/image/belmont%20plate ...
- EquinnoxX, on 07/13/2009, -4/+5I'm kinda disappointed this article isn't about cars.
- gfelstein55, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1I love photography and I love to capture most of the fascinating places.
- RunningEagle, on 07/13/2009, -3/+4Has our culture become so immediate and lazy that we can only bear top ten lists?
- hiseoul, on 07/23/2009, -0/+1hey man. you forget Seoul...
- newquayweb, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1I am hoping for more pictures since it's about nature's wonders.
- blofeld9999, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1Wow, must be a lot of SoCal Diggers. Why the San Francisco hate?
- jkash23686, on 07/13/2009, -2/+2no Washington D.C?
- Soundmaster, on 07/13/2009, -0/+0That is the only skyline I want to see
- siryourbrains, on 07/13/2009, -2/+2The real best place to look at San Francisco is Twin Peaks.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a1 ... - saintsfan, on 07/13/2009, -2/+2Weehawken is usually crowded. I bet they all are plus the best place to view a skyline is on the tee-shirt you bring back as a souvenir.
- hotelnycjc, on 08/20/2009, -0/+0stay on the waterfront of Jersey City at NYC-JC.com and each apartment feature amazing skyline views of Manhattan the most famous of all skylines. The apartments are amazing and some of them are located into the hudson river so you wake up with the Empire state building right in front of your bed. Others show the city and the statue of liberty at the same time. Unbelievable only 700 yards away on the Hudson waterfront. NYC-JC.com is the place that offers affordable appartments as an alternative to hotel stays.
- blofeld9999, on 07/13/2009, -2/+1Twin Peaks is great, it's interesting how Market St delineates the city like that.
Treasure Island is another good vantage point. You have a great view of the Bay Bridge, Financial District, North Beach, Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. See http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3c ... for an excellent shot. - syntaxgs, on 07/13/2009, -3/+2did u know there a car call the sky line that I see on tv is VERY fast!
that the kind of sky lines I like =D - matrixOp3r4t0r, on 07/13/2009, -2/+1@ VBTech nice try budd // I hear ya BoutDemCanes91 , more pictures and a better page layout would have made the post more interesting ...
- VBTech, on 07/13/2009, -8/+3Skyline? Skyline Chili is the only "skyline" that matters to me.
http://www.skylinechili.com/
If you've never heard of Skyline Chili, or don't have one in your area, you have no idea what you're missing. Poor souls.

What is Digg?
