- ozid, on 12/22/2007, -0/+249 Most Spectacular Places to Spend New Year's Eve (Pics)
- bmson, on 12/22/2007, -1/+21The forgot Reykjavik, Iceland.
Largest unorganized firework show in the world.
Last New Years Eve, they shot up more fireworks than Australia.
Average Icelandic family buys fireworks for 300-400 us dollars. And the are all shot up simultaneously at midnight.

- ShuttleDisaster, on 12/22/2007, -2/+19How in the hell did ________ make the list? Where is ________?!? Buried for inaccuracy.
- SilverBlade2k, on 12/22/2007, -2/+11I'd pick 'with my girlfriend' over any location....if I had a girlfriend.
- Paranoidmarvin, on 12/22/2007, -2/+8Seriously, why is everyone making such a fuss about the guys getting off in NYC?
There are gay people in this world, and they don't disappear on new year's eve - they party like everyone else! - T8erT0T, on 12/22/2007, -1/+5Amsterdam is a great place to be anytime of the year.
- giveer, on 12/22/2007, -1/+5Anyone who makes a New Years Eve list, puts a city in Scotland on there, but doesn't include Glasgow, I dunno.. the whole city pretty much wakes up the next Wednesday.
- chris9902, on 12/22/2007, -1/+5Google maps is the best place. go anywhere.
- lazyeyesam, on 12/22/2007, -2/+6Amsterdam is also a great place to have new years. Everyone goes nuts in the streets with their own fireworks; absolute carnage!
- herrstabby, on 12/22/2007, -0/+4I only counted 9 places, still I'd be great to be in Rio for New Years, or hell any time of the year for that matter.
- vervalsing, on 12/22/2007, -0/+3Paris is fun too. I was at the New Years celebration there for 2006...I got felt up by about 784545 drunk guys, and at midnight I made out with some guy who I had never met and who did not speak english.
Best night of my life. - borez, on 12/22/2007, -2/+5Really... two guys?
Whatever next??? - whorunbartertwn, on 12/22/2007, -0/+3We did Vegas a few years back, everything is more expensive then but it's pretty fun. The strip is shut down to cars so at midnight everyone fills it and the casinos do fireworks off their rooftops. Neato.
- sherbertbones, on 12/22/2007, -0/+3You're an idiot
- avatarpalin, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2Come to my place! we will have a great time. Melbourne Australia
Only guys with hot chicks where the relationship is, well kind of on the rocks.. should apply. - Niubai, on 12/22/2007, -0/+2It's sure a beautiful place but it's too big and can be a pain for tourists. If you want all the visual, but in a safer, cheaper and with more beautiful women, go direct to the south, to Florianopolis.
- avatarpalin, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2thou does pretest to much??
- neocr0n, on 12/22/2007, -3/+5I prefer to stay local on new years eve. Friends and family all around. Its not the place you go but the company that you spend it in,
- BobSutan, on 12/22/2007, -0/+2Hogmanay in Edinburgh Scotland. Think Times Square, but for an entire week.
http://www.edinburghshogmanay.org/ - Nekogao, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2That picture is actually the Peace Park in Hiroshima, a few hundred miles away from Tokyo.
- Electric_Sheep, on 12/22/2007, -0/+2No one parties Hogmanay (New Years) like the Scottish do!
- bijna, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2psht, ***** this list. Amsterdam #1.
- n0tj0sh, on 12/22/2007, -0/+2Closet Case?
- Shanktown, on 12/22/2007, -1/+2Lets hope next year will have less pointless top ten lists on Digg.
- n0tj0sh, on 12/22/2007, -0/+1I spent a couple new years eves in Ecuador and they do this thing where they light these dolls filled with fireworks in the streets. It was pretty fun and I laughed pretty hard when I saw it seemed the most picked doll was George Bush.
- Mentosan, on 12/22/2007, -0/+1I would add to this list South Pole! Just a personal obsession.
- miniSlon, on 12/22/2007, -0/+1Japan looks like a fairy...
- Amnesia10, on 12/22/2007, -0/+1If it were not for the snow on the ground I would have thought that was Baghdad 1991
- ozid, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1it was a valiant try, though.
- MusicSoup, on 12/22/2007, -0/+1Edinburgh street party for me.. Can't wait.. i'll be in stumbling distance home which is a bonus, nothing worse than the mission trying to get home on a new years..
- ThankTheCheese, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1pfft, friggin' New Year's Eve with its fireworks and its forced socialising.
- mikelieman, on 12/22/2007, -5/+6Time Square is for tourists... Take in a GOOD SHOW instead! ( I'm looking at you Gov't Mule at the Beacon Theater... )
- rockefeller2, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1I never go out on NYE anymore. Overpriced, overcrowded, just another day, who gives a *****.
- wealer, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1sorry ozid... you are correct. 9 places but 10 pictures. sorry for the confusion and thanks for pointing out my mistake in submitting this one. wealer

I watched the vid for Reykjavik, Iceland. Very nice.
Got my vote too! - drastik21, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1You must be very lonely.
- ytsrc, on 12/28/2007, -0/+0eric y and jay whitlow half agree with thankthecheese regarding the celebration of new years eve but we are wondering what it might be like to enjoy the peace and quiet with whitlow and family in japan with the meditation and the hot rice wine, thanks jay.
- iRaachie, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1Deal with it, turn your face or walk away. If anything get over it.
