- IceIX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think Federer had something like two times the # of aces that Roddick had.
But then again Federer is not really human, so take that with a grain of salt.
I'm glad to see Roddick has gotten much more mature and focused, though. He is slowly learning that it takes more than just a big service game to win at that level. He also acted very mature and humble in accepting his second place trophy. Props to him for his personal growth. - Mipmap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Make that "not so immediate future". Federer won the U.S. Open Sunday.
Roddick was wailing some blistering aces past Federer though. He just needs to learn more of the head game and save his energy a bit, not try to kill the ball on every stroke. - divatri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not very clever post, but... sweet!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'd be interested to see if Roddick can raise his game enough to beat Roger. I highly friggin doubt it though.
As for Connors, I doubt he has much to do with Andy's success at the Open. - devfeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So... But I'm not surpised.
- pt4117, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Connors probably does have something to do with Roddick's return. Roddick has been attacking the net a whole lot more than he used to, and just being more aggressive in general. Those are both traits that he was lacking before Connors.
