- BugsSport, on 01/31/2009, -1/+20Tennis on Digg? I have a renewed faith in this generation
- mttst, on 01/31/2009, -0/+17Can't wait for Federer vs. Nadal tomorrow morning! (here in America at least)
- RicardoWilliams, on 01/31/2009, -4/+20i love the commercial with the williams sisters versus the manning brothers
- survivordean, on 01/31/2009, -0/+14she's excellent
- scottysmith, on 01/31/2009, -0/+10Serena dominated...Dinara failed, bigtime....one of the fastest finals i have ever seen
- inactive, on 01/31/2009, -0/+8She rocks!
- Igaryok, on 01/31/2009, -5/+12She would get killed in men's tennis.
- phreak79, on 01/31/2009, -2/+8She's a superb player but this just sums up for me why the womens draw doesn't deserve equal prize money to the men. Compare the Nadal/Verdasco match to this one. Very few womens finals live up to billing, especially now Henin has retired.

- jamauss, on 01/31/2009, -0/+4Thinking about it - this final is like the Wimbledon one in terms of what's on the line for both players.
If Nadal wins, he beats Fed in their first hard-court major final and becomes Roger's equal in terms of winning 3 of the 4 slams - and also has him currently holding 3 of the 4 major titles.
If Fed wins, he ties Sampras' record of 14 majors and starts off the year strong and has a chance to break the record at Wimbledon or US Open.
Does anyone also find it ridiculous that this years Aussie Open saw Fed reach his *19th* straight semifinal and his 18th career major final? Only one guy (Lendl) made more major finals (19 - Sampras reached 18). - azizrulez, on 01/31/2009, -0/+4Im sure the Mens Final is not going to over so soon.I hope we get a 5 set marathon like last years Wimbledon final.
- phreak79, on 01/31/2009, -0/+3I wouldn't mind if they even played 3 sets in the final but so often the finals are one sided non events like this one was. Shouldn't ever happen. It's the final, they should be close. That Safina was playing for world #1 status as well makes it even more of a sham. Fed/Nadal matches are always classics and I expect the game tomorrow to be another and certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it go to five sets.
- inactive, on 01/31/2009, -0/+3Crikey!
I wonder if she still thinks koalas eat bamboo. - coopaloop, on 01/31/2009, -1/+4I disagree that this was an expected outcome. Serena was expected to win yes, but not in that fashion. 0 and 3.. are you kidding me? I thought Dinara would be able to put up a fight.
- GramarNazi, on 01/31/2009, -3/+6Who else read it as "Anus open"?
- sergiorly, on 01/31/2009, -3/+5I'd tap.
- ASSASSYN360, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2Amazing.
- swordedge, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2I say that women deserve equal pay ... when they play best of five sets.... just like the men. They almost never play best of five sets and then, only with certain finals of certain events.
- Ergodigitality, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2Budd Collins
Serena should win in the future 5 to 6 grand slams. Serena destroyed her competition in the final and easily is the best in womens tennis. - inactive, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2Guilty as charged
- shoppingkart, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2They see me rollin'
- CaptObvious, on 01/31/2009, -1/+3heh, I read it too fast and thought the title said "Serena Williams Wins Anus Open"
And I also didn't read the comments... - qxrt, on 01/31/2009, -2/+4I misread part of the title as "Anus Open" and was all :(
- supercandy, on 01/31/2009, -1/+3congratulations !
she is top notch - mighty fine. - inactive, on 01/31/2009, -0/+2http://www.flickr.com/photos/sfslim/2295439206/
- UNCCEJ1010, on 01/31/2009, -0/+1Fed/Nadal matches are not always classics.
Last year's french final for instance. - NeelxSarkar, on 01/31/2009, -0/+1The guy who above you
- CoD4, on 01/31/2009, -3/+4My favorite one is the one with athletes
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+1I actually did that too
- nox411, on 01/31/2009, -0/+1I wonder what she squats and leg presses, her quads are MASSSIVE. That's where she gets all her power from for those serves.
- rsbryswrrl, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1And thanks, ESPN breaking news text alerts, for waking me up at 3 in the morning to tell me this...
- edebolt, on 01/31/2009, -3/+3Dream on... USA rocks !!! Obama, Tiger, Serena, Oprah. Suck it Russia okay you have Fedor so will cut you some slack.
- Shakermaker, on 01/31/2009, -3/+3Serena Williams?
Damn - those Williams brothers sure are good tennis players. - sonofabeast, on 01/31/2009, -2/+2Buried for misleading me with the Anus Open.
- xNarrowSoulx, on 01/31/2009, -3/+3HAHAHAHAHA Aus open. Haha.
- swordedge, on 01/31/2009, -2/+1Shows what you don;t know, Dinara beat her exactly once in 7 tries. Dinara does not believe she can beat her. Till she does, the only way she will ever beat her is when Serena hands it to her.
- gab00n, on 01/31/2009, -3/+2No, she's a steroids freak.
- inactive, on 01/31/2009, -4/+3I wanted Russia to beat USA.Remember how Safin liked demolishing american players.
- flamesrule, on 01/31/2009, -1/+0You can't base the pay on time unless they switch it to an hourly rate which for pro sports is just stupid.
- epithet, on 01/31/2009, -3/+2damn that bitch is ugly
- inactive, on 01/31/2009, -6/+4She's still ugly as hell..... and hardly qualifies as a "woman"
- Igaryok, on 01/31/2009, -8/+3Sucks
- paranoiabacon, on 01/31/2009, -10/+5Digg me up if you read that as "Anus Open"
- MrUploads, on 01/31/2009, -10/+3Perhaps due to her build, does anyone else think perhaps she should be in a different class of tennis player?
She would be competitive in men's tennis. - swordedge, on 01/31/2009, -13/+2Since this was the very very expected out come, this is NOT digg worthy.
What is Digg?
