- BOSyooper, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14I like watching tennis, unlike most of the people commenting on here, but I don't care who wins between the two of them. I'd much rather see them play some else with a different game and more bitterness. I just wanted to see Serena win that second set, so they could move on to the Nadal-Fish match which was excellent to watch for the first few sets.
- WeaponAlpha, on 09/04/2008, -2/+7They have played each other before, I don't see why this time is special.
- lefthandpisces, on 09/04/2008, -5/+9digg up if you're tired of watching williams vs. williams for the past 5 freakin years
- squirrelza, on 09/04/2008, -8/+12More manly than me.
- jpbreeder, on 09/04/2008, -4/+7One of my peeps who's working at the Open met them and he said they were beastly. Built like dudes, no wonder they beat the hot European chicks!
- collution, on 09/04/2008, -2/+5Is this a ***** comment day or is it just me?
- ericdano, on 09/04/2008, -4/+7Brother against brother. What a great thing..........wait..........
- mxwlpxwl, on 09/04/2008, -5/+7I actually enjoyed watching the two best female tennis players compete against each other.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -3/+5Which match were YOU watching? =P
- cjacks9, on 09/04/2008, -2/+4One day, maybe stories that hit the front page will have comments from those who dugg the article. *shrug*
Not sure this is front page material. I like watching tennis. I watching some of the second set while Venus slowly and surely lost her lead. Once it went to tie break, I went to bed. I need my beauty rest. - BabyWookie, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3Female? Which match was that?
- larissa13, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3I hated it that the Nadal/Fish match started so late! ARGH! I wish the Williams sisters were moved to the Armstrong court so the mens match could have started on time!
- jack12345678910, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3indeed, these girls should be competing in the men's tennis. they look like they can kick any tennis pro's ass in a fist fight.
- ksadeck, on 09/04/2008, -5/+6I always liked Sailor Moon better...
- kickingback77, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1The Williams sister have helped to make women's tennis enjoyable to watch for the sake of the game they play. These women hit with fierce ground strokes and understand what it takes to win a point and entertain the crowd. http://www.tennisplaza.com
I hope they remain uninjured for years to come, I enjoy watching them play each other the most, talk about sibling rivalry. - coopaloop, on 09/04/2008, -2/+3The Fish-Nadal match was more exciting.
- humanerror, on 09/04/2008, -5/+6I thought this was going to be about Sailor Moon
- larissa13, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1Doesnt Djokovic have SARS? Andy Roddick said so!
Great post. - RowersAlmanac, on 09/04/2008, -2/+2I love Marty Fish. I love Nadal too, so it was a good match to get behind. I've always maintained tennis is a fascinating sport with fascinating characters to follow - I wish more people would watch it. You've got the tennis titan with class who is dramatically struggling to maintain his game (Federer), the petulant party crasher with a penchant for convenient injuries (Djokovic), and an entire slew of other captivating characters who you love to love or love to hate (Murray, Roddick, etc. etc.)....it's all great fun, and did I mention the game itself is absolutely wonderful to play with a learning curve that really does encompass decades? P.S., don't digg me down if you don't agree with my stereotypes - I'm just giving examples of the colorful players in tennis and they ways I see them
- TheBigSquid, on 09/05/2008, -1/+1I'm taking being dugg down as a yes.
- Pramma, on 09/04/2008, -1/+0No one said it was *that* special, but it was a fascinating match if you know anything about tennis and watched it, Venus was up a break and serving for the first set and was broken, she later had 2 set points in the first set before she dropped it, and the same situation in the second set with something like 7 set points before she lost the 2nd set to loose the match. That's very interesting to someone who is into tennis. Not to mention they are both world-class tennis players with world-class credentials.
- Gustomucho, on 09/04/2008, -5/+4I Like All Capital Letters Title!
- Pramma, on 09/04/2008, -2/+0Why take the time to post stupid-ass comments if the story is obviously something you don't even care about?
- Pramma, on 09/04/2008, -2/+0except that they haven't been... Serena is 3rd behind two Europeans, and Venus is 8th, behind 6.
http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/2/rankings/sing ... - TheBigSquid, on 09/04/2008, -4/+2Am I the only one that read the headline as 'Serena Beats Penis In The All Williams Quarterfinal'?
- haentz, on 09/04/2008, -11/+9Those dudes can play tennis
- IHaveIssues, on 09/04/2008, -10/+7Wow, this is a slow news day.
- cawpin, on 09/04/2008, -5/+2Ditto the first sentence. Ditto the first sentence again.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -5/+2Match was rigged. Whatever.
- LightPhoenix, on 09/04/2008, -8/+3Age. Serena is younger (albeit only by a year or so), and that's what gave her the edge to beat Venus.
- nutmac, on 09/04/2008, -8/+3Is Serena the one that claims to be a fashion model? Fashion model for cross dressers?
- theexitwound, on 09/04/2008, -11/+4I can't stand the Williams sisters. I'd rather see Venus move forward though.
