- SirChavez, on 07/03/2009, -2/+16While it's difficult to compare the tennis greats between different eras of the game, Federer continues to prove why he is one of the best in the history of professional tennis. I eagerly await his match between either Roddick or Murray.
- supertom, on 07/03/2009, -0/+13He's playing Roddick in the final. I just watched Andy Murray get beat :(
- tofffe, on 07/03/2009, -3/+14This was his 21st consecutive grand slam semi final. He is really the greatest player of all time!
- shawn1122, on 07/03/2009, -0/+8You realize that if Nadal were playing, Federer would still make the final without having to play him right? The top two players are put on opposite sides of the draw.
- Rapax, on 07/03/2009, -0/+7I doubt that. Ever since Nadal started appearing in the later rounds of majors, people have been talking about his extremly unphysiological playing style, and how it puts stress on his joints, especially his knees.
May well be (sadly enough), that his current injury is just the beginning of the consequences. I seriously hope he'll come back to challenge Federer at some time (heck, their last encounter at Wimbledon was the most amazing match I've seen), but somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd passed his peak. - gentk, on 07/03/2009, -0/+6You got your wish, Roddick is through to the final.
- sandipc, on 07/03/2009, -1/+6When Nadal makes 21 consecutive grand slam semifinals, come back and we'll talk.
- 88dkanor, on 07/03/2009, -1/+6I hope that he plays Roddick on Sunday.
- vikblazin, on 07/03/2009, -1/+6i used to be a roddick fan. like 3 years ago. then i realized the sheer awesomeness of federer.
- azizrulez, on 07/03/2009, -2/+6Allez Federer!
- inactive, on 07/03/2009, -1/+5He's greatness.
- nazbot, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3In other words Federer just won Wimbledon?
- velocity92c, on 07/03/2009, -5/+8The greatest tennis player ever. Amazingly enough Rafa could challenge him for that honor eventually.
- mizike, on 07/03/2009, -2/+4Nadal's a great player, but decades from now Federer will be remembered as one of the best to ever play the game. He has the most complete game of anyone I've ever seen.
- kodax, on 07/03/2009, -2/+4Nadal's been figured out. He needs to change his game and thats why he is not playing.
- lovecss, on 07/03/2009, -1/+3At this rate it looks like he will be. I'd still prefer Murray to win though, he's kinda British after all!
- TheIndigoSky, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2Did you watch the Murray match? I think Roger is going to win, but Roddick has improved a ton.
- chaos7, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2i think federer is out of his slump. he played great against haas. and when he breaks pete's record and gets rank #1 again it'll just pump him up even more.
- phyx726, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1dugg for headbands
- ericcc, on 07/03/2009, -3/+4I've always found Nadal's post match interviews to be more humble than Roger's.
- TheIndigoSky, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1He'd only be a few ATP points away if he won Wimbledon. He's behind Nadal by about 2100, and a Grand Slam is worth 2000.
- crazy4magazines, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Go Roger!!
- TheStoof, on 07/03/2009, -4/+5GO RODDICK
- mizike, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Has Roddick ever beaten Federer in a grand slam final? He always makes a good match of it though.
- macp, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1yay :) pretty confident federer is gunna win this. i doubt it will be as epic as last year's though :(
- flamesrule, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Roddick never beat Roger in a Grand Slam, final or otherwise. Roddick's only Grand Slam win came at the US Open when he beat Juan Carlos Ferrero in the finals.
- TheIndigoSky, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1lol "kinda" British?
- chaos7, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1roddick's a dick
- flamesrule, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1I think Nadal is on the down slope of his career. Injuries can pile up and it takes such a psychological toll. Look at Tommy Haas, injury after injury, even the freak accident with his parents. You have to rest, train and come back time and again. Nadal may not think it's worth it the 4th or 5th time around.
- Enjieru, on 07/03/2009, -1/+2federer #1 again...=D
- Chinzon, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1I bet Federer wins straight sets.
- bicyclethief, on 07/03/2009, -1/+1Another finals route. Roddick has nothing but a serve. Not enough to beat Roger.
- flamesrule, on 07/03/2009, -1/+1it is difficult but Laver played at a time when 3 of the 4 Slams were played on grass. Also, Laver did turn pro and couldn't play in the Grand Slams but really, tough, he made that decision and knew what it would mean. Sure he could have won more Slams but he wanted to go pro.
- CharlesGables, on 07/05/2009, -0/+0Federer is definitely reaching legendary status in the tennis world. Wouldn't doubt it if he was asked to attend that legends challenge poker thing coming up soon.
- boardwalk, on 07/03/2009, -1/+0That's all well and good for Roger but I still think he's an arrogant jerk who can't stand losing.
- bds369, on 07/03/2009, -4/+3yawn... tennis... yawn... Female tennis? hmmmmm
- UglieJosh, on 07/03/2009, -3/+1We'll talk about what? I never said Nadal was better than Federer.
- Fikiman, on 07/03/2009, -4/+2Thats only because Nadal isn't playing... You knew right?
- UglieJosh, on 07/03/2009, -5/+27-13.
If the greatest player in tennis history is able to be consistently dominated by another player in his own era, he is truly the worst "greatest of all time" in any sport. - JanSimpson, on 07/03/2009, -5/+1I find it hard to believe with all the greats teaching tennis and there are no other kids who are great? no one to challenge these guys? come on - are they being held down?
- homercles337, on 07/03/2009, -9/+4I couldnt be happier to see Roger back on his game while that little arrogant ***** Nadal is floundering.
- Menzer7, on 07/03/2009, -8/+2Federer is the devil.
- inactive, on 07/03/2009, -13/+1That's nothing, Have you seen Andy Murray play Football (Soccer). Incredible Skills!
