- bombula, on 02/07/2009, -0/+5724 is free at hulu.com
- disillusioned, on 02/07/2009, -2/+35Who on earth pays for network TV? TVtorrents.com or TiVo or Pirate Bay or even Hulu, if it has 24. Jesus.
- Wildthing, on 02/07/2009, -3/+34Good work, Chloe. Keep trying and let me know when it gets to 0.
- phphreak, on 02/07/2009, -1/+24If this season was $15, I'd buy it. Anything above that is a joke, especially laced with DRM.
- Upon66, on 02/07/2009, -0/+19Why the hell would you pay $67.99 anyways for a show that's FREE on Television and on the Internet.
***** iTunes - Darkaged, on 02/06/2009, -3/+19They're letting the terrorists win!
- RAT-Man, on 02/07/2009, -1/+17Why would you pay that much money for content that is free over the air?
- ryan83189, on 02/07/2009, -0/+12It makes sense, people don't have money to pay to watch a show they can see for free on the tv.
- kerouac906, on 02/07/2009, -1/+10Wait. You pay for free TV? And you're excited you got a discount? Hmmm... You should come to my house, I've got a great deal on air, it's only $1 per breath. On another note, you could buy the whole damn season on DVD for a helluva lot less that $58 when it comes out.
- twiztidsinz, on 02/07/2009, -0/+8over at myhouse.com I offer instant downloads of DRM'd breaths of air for only .99 cents each!
- WriterSD, on 02/07/2009, -5/+13This was at 124 diggs, so I almost didn't digg it so it could stay at 24. But I obviously changed my mind. :)
- mehan, on 02/07/2009, -0/+5I'm surprised anyone would pay for something that gets broadcasted OTA for free, or is also easily torrentable for free.
- Kanten, on 02/07/2009, -0/+4Yeah, it's entirely impossible to watch a show for entertainment value, right?
- Tyler2tall147, on 02/07/2009, -1/+5shouldn't your season pass only be $48....
- NGYoshi, on 02/07/2009, -2/+6Nothing is free. When you watch a show on TV you pay for it buy watching the Ads that go with it. While I would like to see a price drop even more on iTunes, you pay for the show minus the ads. One way or another, you pay for it and so that cast can continue making the show.
- viserov, on 02/07/2009, -0/+4DAMMIT CHLOE!
- SpoonMSU, on 02/07/2009, -0/+3Or on Hulu. Or the last six seasons for a quarter of the price through Netflix.
- Tehzz, on 02/07/2009, -1/+4It probably means absolutely nothing.
- liquidhalcyon, on 02/07/2009, -1/+4I only paid like $10 for Top Gear. And:
1. It's not available for free in the US.
2. It's one of the best shows on TV. - electrifried, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2for americans that is >_>
- 9bpm9, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2Tivo? Hulu? Netflix? And if he really wants it in HD, he can pirate it.
- inactive, on 02/07/2009, -1/+3A sign of falling prices? Obviously, genius, the price ***** fell.
If you're looking for a reason WHY the price fell, it's because a.) nobody is buying it; b.) the show sucks now and; c.) people aren't interested in terrorists now, they're interested in their JOB. If Jack Bauer started cuffing guys like Barney Frank and Alan Greenspan and and shot John Thain in the knee, maybe the price wouldn't have dropped. - defectDS, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2They're HD. I can assure you that they won't be much less when they come out on Blu Ray.
- anxdiety, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2Television and the cable networks are slowly dying. Why pay for a subscription service only to have advertising thrown throughout what you are watching? You could simply get an internet connection see less advertising and watch it online. The only market television still sort of holds is the sports market and even that is changing as at least here in Canada we can stream every game of the Stanley Cup Finals exactly as it is shown on the tube.
- gamabunta, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2Wrong. This probably means sales numbers suck so they lowered the price to encourage more people to buy.
Same thing happened to me with S3 of BSG. Didn't mean ***** other than lower prices. - inactive, on 02/07/2009, -0/+2It definitely IS a sign of falling prices...for THIS item. Nothing else.
- christinme, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1yes i agree with you 100%. all these idiots just don't understand this and think that downloading everything for free is the solution....really it is the problem. The money that we spend helps stimulate society.
- twiztidsinz, on 02/07/2009, -1/+2That's why kerouac906 said: "Wait. You pay for free TV?"
- crashingechelon, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1Atleast Apple is good about refunding with price drops. On a similar note when I bought the Cloverfield song on itunes it was like $1.99 which I didn't mind since that's the only song in the movie and it's like 17min long. A few weeks later I got an e-mail that said "you recently purchase, blah blah blah, to compensate for the dollar we overcharged here's two free songs". So that's a good thing for me that day.
- UnaClocker, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1HD episodes are $2.99, not $1.99
- lazerflesh, on 02/07/2009, -3/+4That show is nothing but propaganda.
- Jacare, on 02/07/2009, -1/+2its free if i change the channel when the commercials come on, or fast forward through them.
- DGSK387, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1I don't buy TV shows off iTunes, but I logged in just to digg you up.
- mysql101, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1"this isn't a new concept"
Neither are VCR's, Tivos, etc. But I guess it takes a small bit of intelligence to plan ahead. - kerouac906, on 02/07/2009, -1/+2I'm kinda likin season 7 so far. And I actually thought the first season was pretty weak looking back on it...
- crashingechelon, on 02/07/2009, -1/+2To be fair since 24 is on Fox and Fox is a non-cable network, you can watch 24 if you just have a tv and rabbit ears. There's no need to pay for cable to have Fox.
- JamesBond, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1http://www.hulu.com/24
http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=twentyfour& ... - Kakumeikeahi, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1Yeah, I mean:
Season 1: Hey! it's the first black president!
Current Season: Hey! it's the first female president! - ramilehti, on 02/07/2009, -1/+2Perhaps the Bush era rhetoric is not selling anymore...
- 9bpm9, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1We have laws that prohibit those kind of things in this country. Especially if you live in the general area of the team you are trying to watch (I mean, they should be your favorite team, right?). The only way to get around those laws is by doing what every major sports league does, charge a monthly fee. Whether it's on satellite or if you're paying MLB to watch games on your computer (and I still believe local games are blacked out), you're sure going to be paying some bucks for it.
- bradbaxter, on 03/07/2009, -0/+1I knew people would take me seriously. Wasn't it obvious that I was trying to sound like a loon? I even added the note at the very end.
- nukeleearr, on 02/07/2009, -2/+3People with macs.
- ryan83189, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1Fox is a free broadcast channel. I can pick up 2 fox stations in digital over the air and I live rather far away from them. It makes even less sense to pay 1000 a year and then turn around and pay 60 to watch the show.
- christinme, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1so instead you illegally download things from the internet....knock knock....wtf....yeah arrested for illegal sharing and downloading.
- redgiemental, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1They do...
- dmm219, on 02/07/2009, -1/+1people who aren't criminals. (exempting hulu watchers)
- NeoCortex, on 02/07/2009, -1/+1But at least Blu-Ray will have extra features, higher quality, and a physical copy of the content.
- SaveTheWords, on 02/07/2009, -2/+1I acquire Lost on iTunes with my American debit card because I'm in Australia and these poor bastards get everything several weeks later than the rest of the world.
Also, doesn't it make sense to monetarily support a show if you like so it doesn't get cancelled, a la Jericho? Lost is the only television I watch, so I don't mind paying for it annually (twice actually, as I eventually buy the pertinent Season disc set).
It is that good. - inactive, on 02/07/2009, -2/+2it's recession what do you want
- buddysystem, on 02/07/2009, -6/+6Or a sign of ***** television.
