Just last month I went to see my Grandma for Christmas and she basically forced my parents and I to watch Yakov Smirnoff's hourlong standup DVD called As Long As We Both Shall Laugh. Anyways, at first I thought it was lame because it's like half comedy, half heartwarming anecdotes about his experiences as an immigrant, but by the end I was convinced that Yakov is indeed a genuinely funny and warm guy.
