- rkthoadan, on 10/02/2009, -24/+250In other news: Water is wet!
- Nicoon, on 10/02/2009, -19/+214Glenn Beck, who art at Fox News,
Hollow be thy brain. - IIAmusedII, on 10/02/2009, -38/+164I heard that Glenn Beck may have RAPED and MURDERED A GIRL in 1990.
- joculator, on 10/02/2009, -12/+103What's with the Republican types and their poor grammar?
- lolerskate, on 10/02/2009, -22/+108Fox news lies? No really?
- ftc08, on 10/02/2009, -11/+86Could you care to find a non-horrendously biased website to back up your claims?
- sgerwel1985, on 10/02/2009, -6/+69I gotta digg you down man. There are always lies with presidents in office, and soon to be elected ones. This is to be expected. But when you use a site called "obama lies" to prove your point, you're really bringing a knife to a gun fight. I didn't vote for him either man, but it is way too early into his presidency to pull out the "liar" flag on him man.
I suggest you get a mind of your own and come to your own conclusion on a politicians stance and then what he does. Don't be so narrow minded. - inactive, on 10/02/2009, -5/+64Maybe if you'd read the article, you wouldn't be having to ask us what it says.
- angrynorwegian, on 10/02/2009, -4/+62Digg is so easy to troll that beck could say just about anything and it would end up on the frontpage.
- Jaysunli, on 10/02/2009, -6/+61The "Comrade Obama and Messiah Tse-Tsung" image is particularly illuminating. Not to mention the political cartoon of MIchelle Obama burning the American flag.
And they expect to be taken seriously. - inactive, on 10/01/2009, -19/+74Is getting dug down a hobby for you? Enjoy.
- Smyley, on 10/02/2009, -2/+54Nickelbeck?
- firesights, on 10/02/2009, -12/+62I would hardly call Fox News "media". At this point they have become an anti-Obama hype machine, stirring up feelings of resentment and anger in order to garner ratings.
All news networks are pretty shady at times, but Fox really goes the extra mile by deliberately attempting to slant stories in the most potently dishonest light to gain loyalty among viewers.
It's getting to the point of actually becoming dangerous. - yocouchdigga, on 10/02/2009, -5/+54It's because a large majority of the wingnuts (gullible, easily influenced, emotional, Glenn Beck listener-types) are in fact, very, very stupid.
- sahaskatta, on 10/02/2009, -5/+46Is your first source for proving that Obama lies a blogspot link? Are you kidding?
- worldgate989, on 10/02/2009, -3/+43Well, considering that when i checked the domain registers, the following came up.
http://whois.domaintools.com/obamalies.net
http://whois.domaintools.com/audacityofhypocrisy.c ...
2 days apart, same register, gee... might be a little suspicious. To avoid being linked to the sites they have made up info for names. But hey, i just did more fact checking than fox news ever does, yay for me. - inactive, on 10/02/2009, -20/+59Good article.
I'm curious if some of you guys actually read it, it was actually pretty critical of the Obama administration for this. It even went out of the way to explain Beck's "lies" (Varlerie Jarret wasn't on the phone with the NEA...but one of her aides was), which is actually what journalists are supposed to do.
I'm actually kind of worried now. If these are the only things the White House can find, this isn't even the worst of what Beck says about them. This would be like Roman Polanski saying that his critics are liars because they say the 13 year old girl he raped was actually drinking Champagne and not beer, therefore he is right and they are wrong.
It's pretty strange that they would not try to defend the NEA call, it doesn't matter who it was from the administration conducting it. The fact is they are using taxpayer funded artists to create propaganda and that is wrong. - rypic7, on 10/02/2009, -4/+40YOU LIE!
- inactive, on 10/02/2009, -25/+57why is the administration sticking its nose into the media? disaster ahead
- inactive, on 10/02/2009, -14/+42Wow, sarcasm. Next year when you turn eight, you'll move up to puns. The problem with retards like you is that you never bother to ask yourself whether a statement is, in and of itself, true. You just ask yourself if it jibes with your political persuasion. Had you read the article, instead of just popping in to be a jerk, you'd have noticed that yes, what Obama said was true, and what Beck said wasn't. In fact, the article (which is pro Beck, by the way) even states that Beck admitted he was wrong.
- rypic7, on 10/02/2009, -3/+30for the record, he went back in and changed it after i commented. it originally said ten.
- JoeCool1986, on 10/02/2009, -1/+28Hmmm, note taken.
/keeper of the records - SandWraith, on 10/02/2009, -2/+26FTA: "The aggressive White House response also brushes up against Obama's promise of reaching for a new civility in politics."
While on the whole I thought the article was good, that line bugs me. If they are saying Fox News is spreading lies, then this has *nothing* to do with politics-- a lie is a lie. - jthei, on 10/02/2009, -3/+26@sanderson Flying Spaghetti Monsters do not dabble in politics

- teh5thhorseman, on 10/02/2009, -0/+19I'm serious! And don't call me Shirley!
- Nicoon, on 10/02/2009, -7/+26How about you practise what you preach and take some time to actually listen to the ***** the guy's saying. Maybe then you'll wake up to the fact that he's not "on to something" but rather far, far *UP* something.
- cityscape, on 10/02/2009, -25/+43Nickelback & Glenn Beck suck!
- inactive, on 10/02/2009, -12/+29Yes *****, we read it.
- thedarkrabbit, on 10/02/2009, -9/+25The difference is that Olberman and what's-her-name use intellect and fact to make their commentary...
- alarchy, on 10/02/2009, -2/+18It's pretty amazing that FDR was able to first introduce this four years after he was dead.
- drmangrum, on 10/02/2009, -12/+28You would think the White House would have learned not to push Beck and Fox by now. They targeted conservatives in general and their health care bill is floundering. They targeted Beck, Van Jones was forced to resign and ACORN has lost nearly all of its funding and is under investigation in many states. They targeted Fox News, and now it's expected that many House seats influenced by swing voters will go to the Republicans.
If the White House was smart they would play nice with Fox. Like it or not, there are fare more center-right voters than center-left. The only reason the Democrats are in power right now is because of the massive Bush backlash. Democrats are stepping on far too many toes and have moved so quickly they've tripped alarm bells in the minds of many voters. - newfrickinshow, on 10/02/2009, -5/+21thy kingdumb come, thy will be done,
in Earth, as it is in Abilene.
Give us this day, our daily thought.
And forgive us our sins,
as we shoot them that sin against us.
And lead us not into education;
but deliver us from peace.
for the kingdumb, the cowards, and the cranks are yours.
For ever and ever, Amen.
(Sorry, couldn't help finishing it.) - TVarmy, on 10/02/2009, -2/+17The thing that makes it great is that they're finally able to admit it, without playing the pandering game.
Usually, you'd expect Obama to give a speech where he says something to the effect of, "There are some who say that water has three phases, and that two of those phases are quite dry. They're not wrong. However, we must all face the fact that the liquid phase of water can be quite moist, to the point that most agree it is wet. Considering this phase exists readily at room temperature and comprises 70% of our bodily makeup, we must accept this to be fact."
Then, Glenn Beck says that only 61.8% of the human body is water, throwing the whole speech into doubt. Hanity then chops up the footage and plays, "We must accept this to be fact, water has three phases... quite dry." - egenesis, on 10/02/2009, -6/+20Lol dude got blocked
- gernblansted, on 10/02/2009, -6/+19That seems to be true. More amazingly, Beck could say just about anything and most of his targeted audience would believe it without consideration.
- ozydingo, on 10/02/2009, -0/+13"If they're starting to insult you with personal attacks and accusations of lying[, t]hat means you're getting too close for comfort."...or, that you're lying.
Seriously, never did understand the "this reaction obviously means we're onto something" argument. One of the most circular arguments, yet so many people use it seriously. - inactive, on 10/02/2009, -1/+13No, they will pull the NEWS license from this NEWS channel, making it just a entertainment show at that point. They will no longer be Fox News, but Fox Repub or something of that nature.
I will actually say something GOOD about Obama if he revokes Fox's News License for continually misrepresenting news, and outright lieing in news. - rearlgrant, on 10/02/2009, -1/+13http://www.bing.com/search?q=fox+news+lies

Besides, you are the one that is lying. Project much? http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp - elenaadamscom, on 10/02/2009, -6/+18Did you read the blog post it was referring to? Yes, it's a diatribe against Fox and Beck.
- danr2c2, on 10/02/2009, -1/+12Funny, just like a lot of the ***** Fox News and Beck say... Hmmmm....
- abk0110, on 10/02/2009, -0/+11I believe you, rypic. I will always believe you.
- worldgate989, on 10/02/2009, -3/+13OMG, I always thought fox news was honest reporting, not lies... *kills self*
- newfrickinshow, on 10/02/2009, -6/+16Also, the sky is up. I finally got around to to checking on the '9 principles and 12 values' and they are so far away from Glenn Beck that I'm surprised the jackass doesn't blush. "The principles, "I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday." On the 10 values, honesty, hope, humility, charity, sincerity, moderation, hard work, and personal responsibility are on their list. The one that gets me the most, Glenn Beck promoting MODERATION. That's like Darth Vader wearing a "Save Alderaan" t-shirt after he blew it up.
- Volatile36, on 10/02/2009, -4/+13You should bring that up with the owner of http://glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.c ...
- phydeaux70, on 10/02/2009, -10/+19Am I supposed to care? I'd rather the President and his staff stick to fixing the economy, lowering my taxes, and putting others back to work, and not be so concerned about what an entertainer is saying.
One thing is for certain, if GWB spent as much time worrying about what people were saying he probably wouldn't have been elected to a second term. Leaders should lead, not concern themselves with trivial things such as this. If they produce results it will nullify just about everything others say....and that will piss them off more than creating controversy or lies (Intentional or not). - CaptOblivious, on 10/02/2009, -2/+11QFT
And they expect to be taken seriously.
hahahahahahahahaha! - BeesKnees21, on 10/02/2009, -1/+10Ahh it's DavidNiven again. You might remember him from such posts as how Atheists are not good people and should not be trusted, or how climate change isn't really happening.
- rypic7, on 10/02/2009, -11/+19... i actually heard it was just one girl... but whatever.
