- Murraythenut, on 06/08/2009, -0/+12They are so long... I guess many of these were before the 30/20/15/10 formats took control
- ethanator1088, on 06/08/2009, -1/+11Classic commercials.
- hawk0168, on 06/10/2009, -0/+9WTF?
- hawk0168, on 06/09/2009, -0/+8"Only Duff fills your Q zone with pure beer goodness, so drink up, and up, and up!"
*Que Rocket Science Man* - STBAT25, on 06/08/2009, -0/+7My dad said when he was young PBR, Hamm's and something called Stag were popular beers. I wonder what it will be like in 25 years from now?
- notoneofus, on 06/10/2009, -0/+6I grew up in Portland so mostly remember the silly Rainier commercials:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz-WuLQz_ns
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtbP2hOX9xA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqfr09_Yb_g - DeusNova, on 06/10/2009, -3/+8*****, that Pabst Blue Ribbon commercial is still effective I'll have Pabst Blue Ribbon!
- RealmDown, on 06/10/2009, -1/+6Worse: beer causes pregnancy.
- RudeTurnip, on 06/10/2009, -1/+5Let's all laugh at the hipster.
- magneteye, on 06/10/2009, -0/+3To quote the David Lynch film Blue Velvet:
Frank Booth: What kind of beer do you like?
Jeffrey Beaumont: Heineken.
Frank Booth: HEINEKEN?! ***** THAT *****! PABST BLUE RIBBON!!!
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbxGgCY9PKw - nismerf, on 06/10/2009, -0/+3I miss beer commercials. Hot chicks popping out of nowhere, people starting a party for no apparent reason, everyone is happy and smiling. What's wrong with that? Better than having to sit through enzyte natural male enhancement commercials.
- RizzoFrank, on 06/10/2009, -0/+3My boss drinks that, and he is definitely not cool.
- wertach, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2I drank PBR in the late 60's. PBR made a comeback, became "cool" again. I think they will be around.
- minnecrapolis, on 06/10/2009, -0/+2Uhh...Hamm's is offensive to anyone that actually likes beer.
- ayeroxor, on 06/10/2009, -2/+4The one titled "Miller Lite, more disco era, complete with blatant racism" is obviously home-made. If submitter and the page host can't tell, they're suckers. Buried.
- ethanpeirce, on 06/10/2009, -0/+2Mmmmmm...Beer
- kitsua, on 06/11/2009, -1/+2syntaxgs! Where have you been? The comment pages have been more boring of late without you.
- linagee, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2The Hamm's commercial is offensive to bears and indians!
- tao52nyc, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Yeah I remember that era too - college days @ PSU - of course this was long before microbrews were ever heard of. It was just Rainier, Blitz, Bud, and Heidelberg that were the major players. /shudder
- inactive, on 06/13/2009, -0/+1For those that dont know. Rainier beer had a 30% lock on the NorthWest market due to those ads. When the company was eventually bought by Australian interests, they went with another ad agency, then saw their market share drop to 3%.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpvidWtxxGs - heaintheavy, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2Uhhh, the person posting the videos DOES KNOW the Miller Lite commercial isn't "vintage" at all, right?
- SurlyDuff, on 06/10/2009, -2/+3Worse: not drinking beer causes improper spelling syndrome.
- censormagnet, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1hehe you beat me to it
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1It's pronounced "Rahn - yey".
- zydeco, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2How could this author miss this Schaefer Beer commercial?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evzxlip_M4I
Edd Kalehoff is the guy that wrote the Price is Right theme song (among others). As one commented put it on another forum: "This is the music I expect to hear as I enter the gates of heaven" - Zippo, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Yeah, there weren't nearly as many commericals back then. I imagine there might have been one or two commercials per break.
- SurlyDuff, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Sounds like you have some awesome weed.
- tao52nyc, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1***** that *****.
Guinness. In Ireland. - tao52nyc, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Don't you know? Beer was the gateway drug...it led to enzyte, 35 years later.
- DeeKaph, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1I fail to see how it's racist.
- NoozeHound, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2I wonder what they would say, if you could go back to that 'party' in Milwaukee (50's Millers ad) and tell them that in 60 years people will have 4 foot wide colour TVs and they would pay for a magic service that connected them to everyone else and on that service they would watch, not the programs that the commercials were sandwiched between but the ads instead!
'Wadda crock' I would imagine. - Aquafellow, on 08/23/2009, -0/+1Beer and disco do not mix.
- DeeKaph, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Vagina Beer. You know you want some.
Sex sells. :P - RobbieF, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1No "head for the mountains"?
or "miller time"? - linagee, on 06/10/2009, -2/+3Who's lee?
- rdubbs, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1needs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFPJo0rQ9X0
- bazzarr, on 06/10/2009, -1/+1You have to admit though, the enormous bitch slap to the guy behind the counter was pretty funny.
- lucutus, on 06/10/2009, -2/+2Are there any vintage commercials for a decent beer? Hamms? PBR? ugh.
- mprovizion, on 06/10/2009, -0/+0It's good for us!
- Swivelstick, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1Using 123bucklemyshoe is my guess..
- PsychoDaaad, on 06/10/2009, -1/+0"mmmmmm Hamms"
- syntaxgs, on 06/10/2009, -11/+2the drink beer need to stop immediate lee becosue it,s the first step on long road to obivion of alcoholism1
