- SonicAD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39This is one of the smartest shows on TV, and it's woefully underappreciated. Probably because, well, it's one of the smartest shows on TV. And America is dumb.
- blackbeltbones, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29Thanks, Mr. Thomas! I love the show and all, but I think it's time for another change of scene.
- Rikushix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22I think the college setting this season is debatable over whether it's really the best idea...but I like the format they took with plotting out storyline: instead of one major plot every season with a mini mystery to solve each episode, Thomas divides the season into three parts, making each part have it's own distinct main plot. When the last episode of one third ends, and the major mystery is solved, it creates a link that opens up the plot for the next third. This makes it less of a "one new miniature mystery an episode" and more of a writing method where plot events are more carefully intertwined, something I find more compelling. The show has a few flaws, but I think it's great, and I hope Thomas is able to scrounge up a fourth season.
- Ocelot13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19we watched seasons 1 and 2 in mass media (its a joke of a class, all we do is watch movies, we justed started star wars episode 1 - 6), but anyways, we watched seasons 1 and 2. all that i have to say, kristin bell is hot.
- inspecality, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16That bitch!! How dare she challenge my perception of what females can and can't do!
- meobrien, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20Who cares? Let's just get Kristen Bell to skip right into soft-core porn.

- fenrillx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I really don't give a crap what they do with the format of the show as long as I have my weekly dose of Veronica Mars. (Best Show Ever)
- Trention, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15This season is really a let-down. I hope they can save it by getting away from the college antics, it's really lame.
- forumreader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13One's a reporter, the other's a P.I.
The only similarity is that they are both blonde. - kal-el, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11even the creator Rob Thomas made fun of the fact that veronica is sort of a P.I version of Chloe Sullivan from smallville
little fun fact Kristin bell was up for the role of Chloe on smallville but lost to Allison mack

#1 dwarf fan for VMARS! - purpleaura, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10100% correct!!!!
- nukethewhales, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7This is probably going to disapoint me, mostly because I really like the supporting cast of the show. Its hard to imagine a show without Weevil, Wallace, or Mac, not to mention Keith. I hope they can come up with a way to keep as many of those as possible.
- simX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I have to say, that "Your wish is my shift-command" line from Mac (I forget which episode) was brilliant.
- topdeck55, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7psst. Veronica Mars isn't on cable.
- cru99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I like the show, so if a change of scenery is needed, so be it.
- jothaxe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Please do not cancel this show!
Some of the best writing on the television today! - my10cent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6They better not cancel Veronica Mars or I am canceling my cable instantly, easily the best show on right now.
- robdiggity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@Incosian
Agreed. Longtime fans of the show tend to prefer the season-long arc formats of seasons 1 & 2. The only real reason Thomas broke it up in season 3 was due to complaints from the network brass that it posed a barrier to new viewers getting involved in mid-season. I guess I understand the reasoning, but as a longtime viewer and fan I much preferred the longer arc.
It would be a tragedy to lose this program, its characters and the writing. And for what? The goddamn pussycat dolls? Next top model? What the ***** *****? - TheWriteGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5For some reason, TV series set in college don't do well in the ratings. There's something about the collegiate environment which doesn't appeal to viewers. It's also expensive for a TV series to shoot on location at a college.
These are the reasons why "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" phased out its college setting toward the end of that show's fourth season. - STKD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The only way this could ever be a bad idea were if it meant less of Mac' in the show. Think people - could we *really* accept Veronica Mars without her?
- Incosian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6You, sir, are an idiot.
- Incosian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@Rikushix
I disagree. I think the story arc utilized in the first two seasons was much more effective and interesting. They were able to work out several nuances to the overall story rather than having to divide their efforts into segments. - FiP0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If they do stop making the show*, I think it would be fun if they brought her back a few years from now, in a new hip FBI investigation show...
Would be the first time viewers followed the main character's career since high school.
* "cancelled" is such an ugly word.. - DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I hope they do change the setting. Seasons 1 & 2 engrossed both myself and my girlfriend, but we both lost all interest early on in Season 3. Move her ahead, give her a new love interest that's not a scumbag (PLEASE!) and of all the supporting cast, I can totally see Mac still being around when Veronica is in the FBI.
- HunterTV, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I don't watch the show (although I'm thinking about it since it's always sounded kind of interesting) but it would have been different if the character had skipped college entirely (I'm assuming from the article that she's in college now). It's like the classic show progression to follow a character from HS to college, why not mix it up a bit and skip that period entirely? It could make for some interesting character development. People change during college and having her behave differently as a post-grad from the previous season in HS could set up some implied mystery and keep things interesting, and there's always flashback episode possibilities.
- Incosian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Agreed about Grey's Anatomy
It's a soap opera disguised as a "medical drama." - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Way to spoil season 2 dude.
- jubba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They're not skipping forward to her being an FBI trainee, they're skipping forward to her being an FBI agent.
That's if the show comes back at all. - earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3yeah college hasnt been that great.
but please god keep it. 2nd favorite show on TV. And I am totally in love with Veronica - weekend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2She's also doing some major voice over work this year for Ubisoft. - http://tv.ign.com/articles/750/750843p3.html
- DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree. I hated the way they treated him in this season.
- Incosian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I still think Weevil is the best member of the supporting cast.
- crispyart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1eh-- duncan was always a boring character, especially toward the end of season 2. i agree he was 'misused' in season 2, but i think it was more that they just didn't know what to do with him at all.
i totally disagree about logan and the end of the season 2. the rooftop scene in the season 2 finale is one of the best ever to be on television.
what's frustrated me this season (although i still love it) is that they say the cw won't give them enough money to sign wallace, mac, piz, and parker for more episodes, but then spend entire episodes focusing on three or four characters we have never seen before and will never meet again. instead of these characters, sign one of the ones we know and love to another episode and focus on them instead of being wallace-free or mac-free for three or four weeks at a time. - Cornedbeef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Highly touted basketball players skip the last year(s) of university and put their name in the NBA draft. So why shouldn't Veronica Mars be recruited by the FBI straight out of University.
- korn91313, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0First season of VM was the best, ever since then I don't feel like it's that great anymore. I do think it's time for a change.
- Incosian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You just sound pathetic and desperate, and not funny at all.
- ksponge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1How about not watch tv at all and save your focus and concentration?
- DDRSkata, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Just submitted a story about the fact that the show has now been cancelled.
- knodi, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3I love the show only because Veronica is hot.
- rheaume, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Wow look at all the women on Digg! Very cool!
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6Good. Now it's time for Gilmore Girls and Grey's Anatomy to get canceled too.
- BattleStar47, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3I like season 1 a lot, and I thought the beginning of season 2 was okay. But they started really misusing Duncan, and then they made Logan a pussy who was funny and not dangerous at all.
That and I thought the way the Beaver-was-the-bus-crash murderer was executed was really contrived. As for season 3, I see this trend continuing, Wallace has become almost completely non-existent, and there's no real tension (dramatic tension you perves!!!) between Veronica and anybody else. The shows become pretty boring. - DeskFlyer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Who?
- kayjay, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0veronica mars? i'd hit her!
- tanxadillo, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2Wait... what's Veronica Mars?
- ImYourRealDad, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2Who cares? Go watch Heroes, kids.
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Heroes? Who cares.
Go watch 'The Wire'. - brokencode, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3Veronica Mars? What a joke!! If you want a ***** ridiculous and awesome mystery show, watch Dexter. Just download it since it's on Showtime. http://torrentspy.com/download.asp?id=954404
