    "Oh, you think you are green? Screw you, you hired airplanes to do something awesome!"

    Does the author know how much pollution they created through their article, and by everyone running ads to support their paper?! Better cancel that *****.

You plan a big promotion (the planning of which doesn't get much attention) then you cancel it and get nearly as much attention as if you went ahead and spent the money. A lot less cheaper and you get a huge amount of publicity.

Battlestar Galactica was a remake that got a lot of fans pissed, and then the show premiered and won over a ton of fans. You may love it or hate it, but why don't you wait to see some of it first before you pass judgement.


    That being said, I'm glad the canceled the sky writing. Not because it's a bad idea. I actually think it would be a great marketing plan. Unfortunately we live in a country filled with morons that would no doubt consider a "V" a terrorist plan to poison us all. Unfortunately marketing departments now have to consider how many idiots we have in the country now.

    The follow-on miniseries was similar, three episodes, but it wasn't quite as good as the first and featured a half-breed alien babies and magic red dust.

    The full-fledged series that followed that was dreadful, but I watched it anyway, mostly for Jennifer Cooke. It had much less of a budget than the miniseries did and wasn't as well-produced.

    So yeah, TheKingInYellow is mostly correct. =/
