Nope, turns out every living person on Earth a cylons, but we nuke our selfs to hell, so only 5 of us are left. It wasn't every no name extra on the show, it was people like Olmos and McDonnell who, in their personal lives have taken up activism, and know a lot about the topics they came to discuss. What better way to translate the interest and discussion generated by these topics on screen and translate them over to people who are actually making decisions. The RDM Galactica has always been a meditation on shades of Gray, a much more true representation of our world than say, 24. ( I think that is what GWB wanted the UN to discuss)
