- Legion303, on 12/18/2007, -0/+3I logged into Digg for the first time in about a year just to give this show points.
- BlackRedYellow, on 12/16/2007, -1/+4This show sounds way better than "To Catch a Thief".
- databeast, on 12/18/2007, -0/+3I saw the pilot to this back in August, cool as hell, and editted to keep a reasonable amount of the tech involved in there at a level the general public would dig. Since then, they've re-edited to increase the amount of tech content in there, and that's apparently the version we'll be seeing on the 25th. Aside from being the best documentary style program on network security I've seen on TV, these guys get to do that jobs that anyone in the industry would give their left arm to be involved with (just wait and see what their task for the pilot is, and try not to be jealous!).
Disclaimer: the guys in the show are all friends of mine, so I may be slightly biased as to their awesomeness. - fr0stman, on 12/16/2007, -1/+4Definitely a show that shows security isn't just installing a firewall.
- databeast, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2considering there's about a 6 month turnaround time from filming to airing, everyone's had plenty of time to fix up everything involved well before time. Also, there's a pretty significant physical security aspect to the show's content (think: duping RFID access cards, social engineering a temporary building after-hours building pass, and having plenty of fun with those PC-based security camera systems businesses have become so fond of). In short, while a lot of the material is selected for its 'hollywoodness', its still all real pentests.
- DJJackalope, on 12/17/2007, -1/+3Can't wait. We need more Representatives of the security world to set the rest of the world straight! Please watch it!!
- indi303, on 12/17/2007, -1/+3Think you guys will be pleased. The studio and Court let us make this real time and real life. Thanks in advance for watching...we hope it goes over well and doesn't scare too many ppl =o) (indi)
- briancl, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2I can't imagine a security professional would think all security is based on regulatory issues and is as boring as this claim.

- databeast, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2I can.. it's the kind of 'next generation' security professional that started rolling off the certification mills in the early 2000's, the kind that thinks running Nessus against a client's network fulfills the requirement for 'comprehensive penetration test'. The kind that's never broken actual security in their life, just rolled out someone else's COTS solutions to a client and charged them $300/hour for the privilege.
- ChazeFroy, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2They did a radio spot this morning, the MP3 is here:

All of us who have been in this for awhile know that the best test is not a check box audit... its getting your hands dirty and showing the client what will REALLY happen. - indi303, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2whoa.. the trailer was on utube?

- DeathAndGravity, on 12/17/2007, -1/+2It's a great show and it shows a lot of stuff that most people wouldn't normally think about.
- smacktacular, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Databeast: I don't know you, but I was there.
- guinnessstout, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Absolutely, I agree with post your posts. I'm sure there will be a good bit of hollywoodness to the show, there has to be to keep Billy Bob watching who doesn't understand one aspect of security. I'm curious to see if it really will all be physical security as you said. Obviously there are levels a customer can choose from. But like I said watching a C&A or NIST 800-53A compliance testing, boring.
- guinnessstout, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1On television.
- clutch0x, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1This is a reply to: guinnessstout you can't imagine companies would let someone see there weakness...but this is what these guys DO so they KNOW the weaknesses so they can get them resolved. I don't see why this is really that hard to belive for you.
- briancl, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1They start describing an episode around the 16:50 mark. The whole shows paints a good picture of how down to earth, but professional and knowledgeable these guys are.
- BlackRedYellow, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1Updated links for the TV show for TruTV.com rebranding:

- Narrator, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1A security officer at a major corporation told me once that security and compliance are two completely different things.
- sechor, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1This show should have been put out years ago! I can't wait to see it. I'm hoping it opens up a bigger segment of the population to the idea of securing their information. Too many people are ignorant of the concepts. Plus, these guys know what they're doing.
- wkidfish, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1Awesome CUZ
Luke, can't wait to see your crazy ass on TV. The trailers pimp and you still look like a dork. Peace out Zeek!!! - Julie82520, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1Way to go guys....Luke I always knew you would go places.....Congrats
- TeeNAH, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1This show is going to be awesome! I've had the honor of working with Chris, Ryan and Luke...and know how brilliant they are. I know it will be a success.
- guinnessstout, on 12/18/2007, -2/+2Wow I can't imagine any one that posted "can't wait" is actually a security professional. While I love my job I can't imagin anyone wanting to watch me do it for a 22 minute show. I can't even fathom the NDA's, SOX, HIPAA and 20 other regulations and standards that this wouldn't work in. I assume this is all pretend because any company in their right mind sure as hell wouldn't expose their internal weaknesses to the world. Let's not even mention federal clients.
- anarche, on 12/16/2007, -1/+1Absolutely can't wait. Maybe regular people will finally be able to see that hacking isn't actually all about "3-D Sky Scraper" looking things, "Garbage Files", and crazy colors. It actually takes a lot more effort.
- xaviel, on 12/26/2007, -1/+1Does anyone have a torrent? I dont have courtTV.
- ahdahm, on 12/16/2007, -1/+1about time!
