- killbert24, on 04/30/2008, -0/+23I thought the WB became the CW.
- RFKirb, on 04/30/2008, -0/+20Awesome, now I can cancel that very special Moesha torrent...
- CDoug03, on 04/30/2008, -0/+16Oh no Jamal, it's that racist frog again
- SteveIsTheDude, on 04/30/2008, -4/+16Since when is a Vagina a metaphor for something bad? Go find a gay version of Digg to post on, I think its called reddit.
- babylonian, on 04/30/2008, -0/+11This will be successful, but only if it means new episodes of Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and Histeria!
- aserer511, on 04/30/2008, -0/+11"Now on the WB, more programming perpetuating black stereotypes!"
- TuffTuna, on 04/30/2008, -2/+11Fresh Prince was on nbc, get your facts straight
- SteveIsTheDude, on 04/30/2008, -0/+8EVERY episode of Moesha was "A very special episode"... Every episode of that show had a richer storyline than the Godfather and every episode made me cry tears of pain, followed by tears of joy.
- eyepatch100, on 04/30/2008, -0/+7They're retreating to the internet, where nothing costs anything.
- mparker7410, on 04/30/2008, -0/+6WB shows made /just/ for the web? Have you seen the garbage they put on /real/ TV?
- diggerphelps, on 04/30/2008, -0/+5Why do you assume anything on the WB was entertaining?

The WB lives on.
Eighteen months after shutting down its TV network that captured the youth zeitgeist with such shows as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dawson's Creek," Warner Bros. Television said Monday that it was resurrecting "the WB" vibe and moniker -- on the Internet.
WB is coming back to be an internet only TV channel. - SteveIsTheDude, on 04/30/2008, -0/+5I know! I keep waiting for the Moesha commercials but sadly, they never come.
- enclaved, on 04/30/2008, -0/+5Your brand of dumb is the funniest of them all.
- socbret, on 04/30/2008, -0/+4Now they can bring back Everwood (that's not gonna happen). That show had some seriously great writing and character development over the 4 seasons it was on air. Plus the setting was just gorgeous. You guys might think I'm crazy but check the show out on dvd sometime, there is something in there for everyone.
- Vector713, on 04/30/2008, -0/+4Those were the days. :)
What are we gonna do tonight Brain?
The same thing we do every night Pinky...
TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! - SteveIsTheDude, on 04/30/2008, -0/+4Don't watch it then. That was the whole concept. Dawson's creek (a night time soap with young actors) mixed with a super hero show. It took me about 15 minutes to figure that out then I never watched it again. Why do you watch it? If you like comics, watch Heroes.
- LoadStar, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3I've posted this previously elsewhere, but it'd be nice if this were a trial balloon that would eventually lead to rebranding the on-air network back to The WB.
Of the two networks that merged into The CW (UPN and The WB), The WB was the one that legitimately felt like a legitimate attempt at building a real network. It's on-air presentation was clean, polished, professional, and could easily be marketed at virtually any audience segment. By comparison, UPN felt more like a glorified syndication package with a significantly limited target audience (mostly young adults, skewing male, in my judgement)... and unfortunately, that look and feel was retained by The CW. (The WB was also the stronger of the two financially, making it all the more puzzling why they killed it in favor of UPN Part Deux.) - JerichoSam, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3Comcast is involved in this arrangement (especially for KidsWB.com), and all of the episodes will be on (Comcast-owned) Fancast. I wonder if this could be related to the possible deal for Comcast to pick up Jericho.
- antdude, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3And I thought cwtv.com was the online video.
- spartan777, on 04/30/2008, -1/+4WB, CW, who gives a *****?
- rkho, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3Smallville is a piece of garbage. The plot ONLY advances at two points in each season: The first and last episode. That is IT. They're treating it like some stupid soap opera.
- pr1me4, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3I dugg you up but honestly I wish i didn't actually know what you were talking about.
- antdude, on 04/30/2008, -0/+3Smallville needs to end soon. The actor for Lex and Lana are leaving and will not be in all episodes next season. :(
- Slayerdude51982, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2Does this mean Smallville will be online? Cause frankly I'm sick and tired of missing an episode and not being able to go online to CW and watch it, they have every other horrible show on their video site but not smallville, WTF?!
- wukillabee, on 04/30/2008, -2/+47th heaven... ahh the good ol days
- SteveIsTheDude, on 04/30/2008, -1/+3Well you know, white marching bands are all like, "dum dum dum", but when Florida A&M or Grambling takes the filed, its like, "dum, whicka whicka, chang, bicka, dum, dum"
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2welcome to the new generation. webisodes. although many suck, like the one mentioned in the article: Prom Queen. damn it sucks. yet it succeeds
- yoshi8710, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2no, upn became the CW
the wb just died - chukd, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2UPN and WB merged to one network called the CW. They took the higher rated shows on both networks and moved them to the new one.
- yoshi8710, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2as long as i dont have to pay for it...
- spartan777, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2and it still blows ass.
- Mysk, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2Supernatural comes to mind, but thankfully they did bring that over to the CW.
- Rachmaninoff, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2The only shows I want to see are "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (because it was awesome) and "Jack and Bobby" (because it was cancelled after the first season and they haven't released a DVD). If they have these shows, then it will be great.
- Zyphron, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1Do you pay for Google?
- xtinamo, on 04/30/2008, -1/+2Don't forget the Oblongs! Those humorless drones controlling their programming truly sicken me.
- ZMann, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Is that a joke? Check out the pricing for CDNs these days, it's highway robbery.
CW pulled Gossip Girl because it was not worth the cost - mrfreeziexp, on 04/30/2008, -1/+2I miss Pokemon :( I know it lives on on Cartoon Network, but it's not the same.
- rkho, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I watched it because I was a fan of Superman. I absolutely love Heroes by the way =]
- starpage85, on 07/12/2008, -0/+0I think it's good, online television is the best!
This is my favourite site for getting free web channels: http://www.tvweb360.com - IllBeBack, on 04/30/2008, -1/+1What are you, 7 years old?
- aserer511, on 04/30/2008, -1/+1wat
- Tvweek, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0this kind of make me feel like an idiot for buying all seven season of buffy on dvd, but it was still totally worth it.
- Coachkenny, on 05/02/2008, -0/+0The Future of Television is the Internet!
- Firefly73, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0Fans of the show jPod are very happy that The WB.com has picked it up, now our American Friends will be able to watch this awesome show!
www.savejpod.ca - robthom, on 04/30/2008, -2/+1Who cares. Although it sounds like a genuinely shrewd idea since I figure its usually suburban internet savvy wigger types who watch that ***** anyway.
- toomuchposse, on 04/30/2008, -2/+1Does this mean we'll finally get a new season of Homeboys From Outer Space?
- penguinofspades, on 04/30/2008, -1/+0last time i checked, vaginas were a good thing. a very, very good thing.
- gkiltz, on 04/30/2008, -2/+0Does this finally mean the merciful end of "The CW?"
That's one network that needs to be put out of our misery! - fenix793, on 04/30/2008, -4/+0test
