- Firespray1138, on 03/21/2009, -10/+81The finale fraking rocked.
- ellimist, on 03/21/2009, -4/+37So say we all.
- ChiaGod, on 03/21/2009, -3/+31That was cool at the end when all the remaining Sixes moved to what later became Sweden.
And what was up with Baltar taking out the Cylon mothership with a virus uploaded from his Macbook? Lame! - TrevorBradley, on 03/21/2009, -5/+33Just a point of note, as wonderful as the finale was, and as romantic as the concept of returning to an agrarian, hunter-gatherer society is, returning to subsistence farming is the worst idea in the histrory of bad ideas. Even without war, there's sickness, and megafauna with sharp teeth and claws out there. Things didn't stop sucking badly for humanity until early last century.

**Spoiler warning**
Lets give up the space ships..
YOU ASS!! - diggB, on 03/21/2009, -1/+17The final battle was pure crazy awesome! I can't believe how much ***** they had flying around in space at any given moment that I had a hard time absorbing it all the first time around. Watch it in HD if you can ...
- TrevorBradley, on 03/21/2009, -1/+17I find it amusing that if Hera were Mitochondrial Eve, then all of our mitochondira is Cylon (as it's passed down the female side of our genealogy). Seems fitting for the little power houses inside of us that make us go...
/avoids other genetic plotholes big enough to drive a truck through. - joshwehatetech, on 03/21/2009, -1/+16First hour was really great, the 2nd hour was a let down. It wrapped up a bit too cleanly IMO. Also, what was the point of Hera really?
- h4mx0r, on 03/21/2009, -1/+15SO SAY WE ALL!
- wolferz, on 03/21/2009, -0/+13"Things didn't stop sucking badly for humanity until early last century."
Things still suck... from the perspective of people living in the year 2400 A.D.
Yeah... they went backwards willingly... but with the loss of the knowledge regarding the history of the human race would come the loss of any knowledge that life could be better than it already is. Every generation is convinced of the hardships of the last... and they are all right... but things will continue to get better and one day humans will look back on us and the word they will spring into their minds will be "savages" - spicypixel, on 03/21/2009, -1/+14So say we all!
- TrevorBradley, on 03/21/2009, -2/+15Don't diss your grandma...
- jordanv1, on 03/21/2009, -6/+18When this show examined social and political and military issues like torture, occupation, and genocide, it was unquestionably the best show on television.
When this show had giant space battles, it was the most exciting show on television.
When this show devolved into existential ruminations and prophetic plot structures, it became the most uninspired and disappointing show on television.
Sadly the last episode, plot holes and all, fit too cleanly in that last category. - cloviejr, on 03/21/2009, -2/+14SPOILER: The characters are all crushed to death by an avalanche of deus ex machinas.
- 17999, on 03/21/2009, -1/+13ha, gotta love the cameo of Moore right at the end.
- DaviDTC, on 03/21/2009, -1/+13Im here for the orgy.
- Ellipsys, on 03/21/2009, -1/+13You know, I'm not sure I liked that explanation so much. I thought there would be a little bit more to it. What differentiates her from the "Angelic Red" Baltar and Six? Why did she vanish, but they continue on observing humanity. Everything else was explained by some sort of semi-natural phenomena, but those three defied everything and hit the "God" or "Unexplainable" wall, which I think the final show and series deserved better than that. I admit, I was waiting for a Kara/Lee ending. After all they went through, I was hoping her goodbye to Anders meant a life with lee.
- cerealjynx, on 03/21/2009, -1/+12"someone throws up on him, and he dies."
- Firespray1138, on 03/21/2009, -2/+13So say we all.
- RevJonathan, on 03/21/2009, -1/+12So say we all!
- ippey, on 03/21/2009, -0/+11Better than the original BSG's ending:
"In the last scene of the series finale, Apollo and Starbuck narrowly miss receiving Apollo 11 moon landing transmissions from Earth." - ippey, on 03/21/2009, -0/+10I actually liked the ending, but your comment made me LOL. ***** Lee.
- Estoye, on 03/21/2009, -4/+14All that fuss over Hera. And for what?
- Malhavoc, on 03/21/2009, -3/+12I was really hoping someone would get mauled to death by a lion...
- Protoss, on 03/21/2009, -0/+8No plotholes if our DNA is the only one we know. We've got nothing to compare it to and go, "Oh hey this is synthetic DNA! We're Cylons!"
- 17999, on 03/21/2009, -1/+9Basically, they end up on Gilligan's Island. Queue Baltar as the professor, making a bamboo buggy... and six has both Ginger and Mary Ann licked.
- inactive, on 03/21/2009, -1/+9I loved the ending, in how it was all poetic, fitting into history, and what not.
But then my scifi/technology loving nerdy side was like....FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU- - gazboo, on 03/21/2009, -2/+10angELS. It's spelt ANG-E-L-S.
- arachnotron, on 03/21/2009, -1/+9I suspect that Daniel was Kara's father.
- inactive, on 03/21/2009, -1/+9I just don't get it. There where other human survivors, so they would also have children, so it's impossible that everyone alive now are descendants of Hera...
- fadeout, on 03/21/2009, -3/+10They just program Anders to commit suicide.. while throwing out millions of tons of metal that would have been pretty useful. No explanation of Daniel, Kara just disappears into thin air, Galen goes to die as a hermit...
I liked Boomer's redemption. Liked the direction they took Bill at the end. But I can't help but be very, very disappointed. - Darkyuubi, on 03/21/2009, -0/+7Dugg for using that guys reference.
Damn I can't remember his name. Its too late at night. - Insignian, on 03/21/2009, -3/+10The Cylons come back as Steve Jobs
- fightingforair, on 03/21/2009, -0/+7SO SAY WE ALL!!
- ippey, on 03/21/2009, -0/+7You can't give life to something that's dead. Kara died. She was brought back to complete her purpose.
- viserov, on 03/21/2009, -1/+8I hope they take their malaria pills and look out for checkpoints.
- ihate2regist, on 03/21/2009, -1/+8yes we must destroy them all
- Insignian, on 03/21/2009, -0/+7great grandma
- RevJonathan, on 03/21/2009, -2/+8You chose wrong.
- ChestonX, on 03/21/2009, -3/+9The show suffered because even though the Cylons may have had a plan, the writers of the show never did...
- wonderchemist, on 03/21/2009, -3/+9Japan... I knew it!
- Qbryzan, on 03/21/2009, -1/+7Thank you! While he was talking I kept thinking about Steve Martin in "The Jerk" - "He hates these cans! Stay away from the cans!"
I hate Lee Adama, and the man who is clearly his descendant, Jack Thompson. - manvsmonster, on 03/21/2009, -2/+8I'm so surprised that there are so many people who are saying the last episode rocked and the last season upheld the expectations from the previous seasons! I really wasn't expecting it at all! It seemed so clear... And yet I hop on and that's most of what I'm seeing! I had no idea people were digging this last season!
I was always watching and couldn't help rolling my eyes and sighing when it got so uninspired, thinking, "Did they drop writers or something? What is this? Where did their skill go?"
The only episode that matched the BSG I loved was the mutiny episode, and it had all the fire and rawness and humanity in question. I thought, "Okay, here it is! They said they used the writer's strike to improve the ending, and this is where it kicks in, maybe!" Then it just slumped back down to the flaccid thing it's been doing and into this last episode. I only got a bit into the action stuff, but even that had moments that seemed rough and shook me out of locking in.
Lots of stuff did not payoff to me. Just seemed explained away. They settle, that's what the things were Baltar and Six were seeing, there goes the evil Cylons, there he goes, there she goes-- END.
Disappointed, but a hell of a ride. - Angostura, on 03/21/2009, -0/+6Are you claiming that the phrase itself has jumped the shark?
