Undugg for no mention of Alton Brown. - rabidjester, on 05/14/2009, -0/+11Needs more Yan Can Cook
- pitchblack16, on 05/14/2009, -0/+11Ummmmm ya very good chance that are the only one.
- iDiggr, on 05/14/2009, -2/+9I have this weird fantasy about Giada cooking and then I come in and wreck that sweet Italian ass while she eats what she just cooked. Now that's a cooking show!
...Thought I'd share that nugget with you all. Thanks. That is all. - RunDiggMC, on 05/14/2009, -1/+8Am I the only one who used to fantasize about being in the middle of a Julia Child-Bea Arthur sandwich?
- btraxx, on 05/14/2009, -1/+7Giada De Laurentiis is the complete package.
- bigtotoro, on 05/14/2009, -0/+4Food Network has taken most of the chefs off of the roster and replaced them with cleavage TV. It is a wonder that Alton Brown still has a job. Personally, I enjoy a little of the cleavage, but not when I am trying to watch a cooking show.
- hlehmann, on 05/15/2009, -0/+4When I was a kid, I would watch Graham Kerr, "The Galloping Gourmet", if I was ever home from school on a weekday. I always envied the person that got to come on stage at the end of the show and sample the food.
- frankglez, on 05/14/2009, -1/+5Every other show on the Food Network involves Bobby Flay.
- KingGorilla, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3so can you!
- tymme, on 05/15/2009, -0/+3I was going to bury because of the fact it includes Rachael Ray... but I guess if her mouth is stuffed with something to keep her quiet, it wouldn't be quite so horrible.
- TwistyMcFister, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3this article needs more Ron Popeil and Showtime Rotisseries
- tymme, on 05/15/2009, -0/+3No Alton Brown? Buried! ...oh wait, thought this was another video game list article.
- rodted2, on 05/14/2009, -1/+3Good Eats, Iron Cheif America, Ace of Cakes, & the AB mini series like Feasting on asphalt. Are by far the best shows on Food Network. That being said my wife has agreed that if I could ever arrange it, I am free to have a three way with Rachael Ray & Giada deLaurentis. Now if I can just get that mind control helmet working.
By the way is anyone else have a problem with digg's comment window jumping up an down like a jumping bean? - hlehmann, on 05/15/2009, -0/+2Taragon (an herb) is delicious and quite fragrant. You can get it at pretty much any grocery store. Try it on chicken or fish.
- lAciDl, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2great chefs on discovery was my favorite show to watch when i got home from school when i was young.
- nanded, on 05/15/2009, -1/+3ALLEZ CUISINE!!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMBXJ9I3pJM - d3dm, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2Julia Child may have been a spy, but less surprising is that Bea Arthur was likely once a man.
- Haoie, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2Love that TV magic.
Makes fully cooked food appear instantly!! - Animan351, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2You lied.
- absurdist, on 05/15/2009, -0/+2Graham Kerr FTW. Because everything is better with a little wine.
- BionicPimp, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1I think that *needs* to be made into a porno immediately...I'd help fund the production of that. who's else wants to pitch in. somebody set up the paypal donation site now!
- aarobinson, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1Having developed a Food Network addiction during summer breaks in college the article was actually quite interesting. I still prefer my local cooking classes to TV though.
- immatellyouwhat, on 05/14/2009, -1/+2Women making sandwiches in the kitchen, what else is new?
- y0urcl0ne, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1That just happens if you scroll while its still loading comments.

http://cookinginablog.blogspot.com - rodted2, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1oh ok, I never made the connection before. thanks.
- hlehmann, on 05/15/2009, -1/+2Alton Brown!!!! *this* is what got me to love cooking. I've always been somewhat interested in cooking (bought a copy of Joy of Cooking, was able to seperate an egg, etc.) That initial interest in cooking exploded once I started watching Good Eats about 8 years ago. It's chock full of information, it's geeky, and it's not some stupid chick show. Now I'm the only cook in the house, I've learned how to truss a game hen, make homemade puff pastry, and experience the wonderfullness of fresh truffles.
But that's another episode... - iDiggr, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1Yes, she is.*
*See my other comment 5 up from yours. - cyrix, on 05/15/2009, -1/+2You accidentally the pronoun.
- gkiltz, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1Graham Kerr is STILL Funny after all these years!
- UnPlusUnEgalSix, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1"À la cuisine"
- azubi, on 05/14/2009, -0/+0Ace of cakes, Geof is hillarius, and Elena and Anna are great to watch :D
Good Eats, Diners Drive ins and dives, also great.
and Giada..... yowzers. - HollyHousewife, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0It is sad to think that many will shy away from cooking in these hard times. This is when we need family meals the most.
http://thelasttruehousewives.blogspot.com - BionicPimp, on 05/14/2009, -2/+2yes, but julia child might have to kill you if she ever found out...she was a spy you know ( not that it's a possibility since she has passed away )
http://www.cbc.ca/arts/story/2008/08/14/child-spy. ... - hlehmann, on 05/15/2009, -1/+1They all suck
- Kitakaze, on 05/15/2009, -1/+1I used to love Alton Brown, but his shtick has just grown old on me. In his chili episode, he stayed in character 100% of the time as a cartoon-ish cowboy. And who can forget his Scrap Iron Chef episode (which took place on a scrap yard set), where he used an old metal locker, filled with tubes to smoke things?
And when he isn't doing shenanigans, he goes on about goddamn molecules — it's as if his target demographic was made up only of driveling idiots, and Michelin-starred, Nobel Biology Prize-winning geniuses. - inactive, on 05/14/2009, -3/+2You know what? ***** you. Now I have the image of Julia Child with cleavage burned into my brain. Though I guess it's better than Alton Brown with cleavage. OH GOD!
- hlehmann, on 05/15/2009, -2/+1And yet, the average male chef can cook circles around any chick.
- inactive, on 05/14/2009, -2/+1Most cooking shows are useless because they focus too much on preparing artwork in a plate in record times to demo their skills to other chefs and make themselves a name in the business. The common busy people don't care about the food originality, doesn't matter if it has already been done before, we just want to eat our three meals a day to kind of, you know, stay alive.
- limpydan, on 05/14/2009, -2/+0Of course it was written by a woman.
- pstroll, on 05/14/2009, -3/+0I never have the ingredients these TV chefs use. WTF is taragon?
