- Colesif, on 01/17/2008, -12/+262Can we leave this to Kevin and Alex please?
- keyboardcowboy, on 01/17/2008, -2/+164what is the point of providing a show that claims to save users the trouble of finding videos themselves if the show doesn't even play the entire video. I dont feel strong one way or another, but only showing small segments of each video is pretty pointless.
- XedLos, on 01/17/2008, -8/+146Honestly i have watched all of the videos b4 so it becomes boring. And honestly Jessica's jokes arn't really funny. Seriously Rev3 should drop this show.
- RonAcierno, on 02/07/2008, -5/+127Whats the point of this when they can be spending resources and money bringing "the Broken" back?
- Spike716, on 01/17/2008, -1/+99What happens if this were to become the top rated video? Would it just create some paradox where every week we are watching videos from the previous week?
- dereo, on 01/17/2008, -0/+95I refuse visit a website to watch a video commentary about a website where I can read comments about a video on another website.
- Picard102, on 01/17/2008, -4/+75Wow... in a bad way.
- tribble222, on 01/17/2008, -3/+73If you're going to have a show like this, use a "real" person and not someone reading text word for word in a reporter voice.
- LastSight, on 01/17/2008, -9/+71yea...i didnt enjoy this
digg me up for agree
digg me down for disagree - ha1f, on 01/17/2008, -9/+71Unless this means I won't see ***** videos on Diggnation anymore, this is pointless.
- Whamola, on 01/17/2008, -6/+68Oh, rev3, how we've watched you grow. Look, you're turning into a real television station right before our eyes with your hit shows that won't come back (the Broken) and you're constant release of shows no one ever watches or will ever watch (Digg Reel, GigaOM, Revision3 Gazette).
You make us all so proud. - bludo, on 01/17/2008, -2/+61Was the sound recorded in a bathroom ?
- Mewchu11, on 01/17/2008, -1/+55whats the point of compiling all these videos when they're bookended with more commentary and ads than it would take to just click through the links?
Seriously now... - Dumbledorito, on 01/17/2008, -1/+49The hostess needs to talk a LOT less. This makes VH-1's vee-jays sound well-written and tightly edited.
And if they're going to keep her as "wordy" as she is now, she needs writers that are a few steps above those used for "America's Funniest Home Videos." - Nat3r, on 01/17/2008, -6/+53***** terrible
shes annoying
videos are old by the time we see them
host is snobby
this better be the only episode
dugg to get the word out - cptnspoon, on 01/17/2008, -7/+54She's a bit of an irritating *****! ...I hope they read this comment out on their next video
- peep, on 01/17/2008, -2/+41Do you have permission from the original sources? Are you sharing the ad revenue?
- skealoha86, on 01/17/2008, -2/+38credits roll...Writers... David Prager
that's your problem right there. - nar3024, on 01/17/2008, -5/+40I like it, but the graphic on the TV was a bit shaky. It could also use another host, maybe Sarah? Or...Morgan Webb? (Though I doubt Webb would do it, with the new XPlay on G4, I'm assuming the contract is still going strong
- Alex2, on 01/17/2008, -3/+311. Let a mob of rabids on the internet pick out videos.
2. Paste other people's videos into your own show, and steal people's comments.
3. Profit! - schrutefan, on 01/17/2008, -1/+28No offense, but Jessica's talents are better utilized elsewhere.
There doesn't need to be any commentary. Just display the title, submitter, number of Diggs and a short description followed by the full video. Less is more, beer-swilling grasshoppers. - brian1625, on 01/17/2008, -2/+28It's over produced and typical. [Revision1] We don't want over production, we want Diggnation, the Totally Rad Show and theBroken. That's why we watch those programs.
- coollettuce, on 01/17/2008, -5/+31Am I the only one that finds Jessica Corbin to be very annoying? I also doubt her tech know-how to be co-hosting a show such as Tekzilla.
- DigDugDigger, on 01/17/2008, -0/+26Exactly. This show seems very G4-ish. Like a corporate entity trying to capitalize on the success of web video. Revision3's #1 show is Diggnation, right? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- sorrow, on 01/17/2008, -6/+31I agree -- Jessica is good, but she needs someone else to balance things out.. maybe stick Prager infront of a camera finally, haha
- inactive, on 01/17/2008, -2/+27It feels like Entertainment Tonight.
- iamtheinternet, on 01/17/2008, -2/+26key word there is "good." and this show's gonna need a lot of work to be that.
- mraustin1337, on 01/17/2008, -6/+29I would be a fan if they included the Scientology video that got taken down from YouTube. Without it they don't get my respect..
Also the girl is kind of annoying, just my opinion. - darnit, on 01/17/2008, -0/+23Yea, without the Entertainment.
- RevJonathan, on 01/17/2008, -1/+24It is a nice concept, but Corbin didn't seem to do a great job. It was eerily reminiscent of a news anchor reading off a teleprompter. Perhaps this doesn't even need a host. Maybe she can get it right though with a few more episodes to get into the swing of things.
- scoutxxor, on 01/17/2008, -4/+26yeah she is. If, by cute, you mean annoying.
- Okari, on 01/17/2008, -1/+22You forgot Ctrl+Alt+Chicken. What the hell happened to that show?
- otatop, on 01/17/2008, -1/+21This has cleverly been submitted to News so it won't be able to become a top rated Video.
- jus1haz2, on 01/17/2008, -0/+19That was awful! The puns sucked a well
- RonAcierno, on 02/07/2008, -4/+22We'll at least they are continuing to grow there catalog of shows. They need to get a good 3-4 new shows a day out.
- afidler, on 01/17/2008, -0/+17I admit I thought this would be cool, but a show that does nothing more than show me the video and read comments by people seems to be basically what I already do on digg.
- Xplorer, on 01/17/2008, -0/+16Very valid question, makes you weigh the logistics a bit.
- scoutxxor, on 01/17/2008, -1/+16the show blows. ill never watch it again, i was hoping for something funny.
- zgress, on 01/17/2008, -0/+15Who is writing this?
- josho, on 01/17/2008, -2/+16no. just... no. this regurgitated formula has been overused and overdone. it's insipid, wasteful, pointless, and even a hassle for the audience if they want to follow up on any of the videos. the banter is neither witty nor novel -- and that's being kind.
i've always thought that yahoo's http://9.yahoo.com/ format for this was perfect -- good host, links on the right highlighted whenever the clip is being shown. convenient, easy, and a much more productive interactive digest. best of all, you can skip to stuff instead of having to endure people seemingly trained by bob saget's school of hilarious hosting. - digichris, on 01/17/2008, -0/+14Plz bring back the Broken Keven.
- xigxag, on 01/17/2008, -0/+13What makes diggnation so great is the unpredictability of it all. Need to drop the scripted jokes and be more informal.
- InitialDMP5, on 01/17/2008, -4/+16you know what would be funny, is if they got all the personalities of Revision3 to watch the clips and make a video comment. It would be like the format VH1 uses for the I Love the 80's and Best week ever shows. Imagine the clip and then Martin making comments on it, and Sarah Lane. It would make it a lot more fun to watch. But Jessica stay!! I think Jessica is the perfect host for this show because I have a thing for her and I can't get enough of her.
just cut back on the scripted jokes. Also Eden could have made the clip loop cleaner that is playing on the display. It jumps back every loop. But this is pretty awesome overall. A great way to start the new year. Pretty soon there will be enough content on Rev3.com to take me away from watching TV! - ChrisViz, on 01/17/2008, -3/+14Wow, easy on the make-up.
- kelowna4life, on 01/17/2008, -1/+12Worst idea ever....i hope this show fails....leave it to kevin and alex....the last thing i want is digg becoming some sort of rev3 whore to make and further the company by any means necessary. I am all for the collaboration if it were for something positive/innovative but this is just crap.
- fkr3, on 01/17/2008, -3/+13Well no, it's like the Top in [time period], but designed to make us click more and view more ads to see the same stuff we can already see here.
- DeWallen, on 01/17/2008, -1/+11Well first off Digg reel is obviously not for the regular digg users (i.e. - us the ppl who would make a comment on this). Can't blame them for an idea to bring more people to Rev3 & Digg.com. Plus remember first ep of diggnation? Little different.
That being said..
Fix the ***** sound at least. - Quiescence, on 01/17/2008, -0/+10so you want to some feedback.. you are &^%$ing annoying. if you still want to continue doing this, just show the videos and please please SHUT UP.
- seanthebond, on 01/17/2008, -0/+10They can't cancel the show now! They spent a bunch of money on that opening graphic!
- josho, on 01/17/2008, -2/+12isn't that like what 9 out of 10 digg submissions already do? welcome to the age of recycling content that is recycled after being recycled.
