- bubbameister33, on 05/14/2009, -2/+56If Ben had his own show with him just doing evil creepy ***** to people, I would watch that.
- newerakb, on 05/13/2009, -1/+33Disagree completely. The show is infinitely more interesting and satisfying than it ever was in the first few seasons. Go back and watch season 1 again, it's funny...you realize how trivial the things were that you cared about, compared to the show currently. Not to mention, they've settled on a pretty great core of characters, where the show used to be full of people I cared nothing for. Miles, Faraday, and especially Ben, are better than anyone in the early years.
- fluidfoundation, on 05/13/2009, -2/+33I should bury this, because I thought we all agreed NEVER to mention Paulo and Nikki again.

- Haoie, on 05/13/2009, -2/+20Oh Libbie, we hardly knew ye.
Hurley gets 1 love interest, and wham!! She's dead the next epi. - Rawkus, on 05/14/2009, -2/+19I want the island to bring back Eko.
- EchoMike, on 05/14/2009, -0/+17Did anyone else feel like the reappearance of Rose and Bernard was just shoehorned into the season finale as a fan service by the writers?
- TaySavesTheDay, on 05/14/2009, -0/+16The "they" seemed to be Llana and crew to me. She was friendly with Richard and Richard was loyal to Jacob, therefore, the fake locke who found the loophole would be against the "they" outside of the statue.
- draxenato, on 05/13/2009, -3/+19It's quiet in here... can you hear Mr Eko?
- Sogui, on 05/14/2009, -2/+17I'm still waiting for a good theory of what happened tonight: *OMG SPOILERS*
Hydrogen bomb goes off and:
1- Everyone in the 1970's island dies (like Richard said) but since Richard claims he remembers it happening this must be the cataclysmic event that was supposed to happen.
This is highly unlikely that almost the entire main cast died.
2- They wake up in LAX in 2004.
Extremely unlikely, would "undo" the entire story, Richard wouldn't "remember" them dying in 2007.
3- They survive a hydrogen bomb blast at nearly ground-zero and continue the 70's story arc.
Probably the most likely but least explainable. But then again Season 6 looks to be chock full of crazy.
Also "they are coming"... WHO? You're in your last season LOST and you're still introducing new forces? I thought during Season 4 that everything was shaping up to be Ben v. Widmore epic clash for the island and its secrets. Now Ben is a sniveling little tool and Widmore seems to have faded back into irrelevance. Now it's everyone v. "they are coming". - BMcClure937, on 05/14/2009, -2/+171. The Polar Bear was not natively on the island... it was brought in as an experiment. You would have figured that out if you kept watching.
2. It is not "super confusing" if you pay attention, watch the show and piece together what is happening.
In my opinion, the show is interesting, suspenseful and entertaining. Great writing. Great season finale. Looking forward to the final season!! - falstaff, on 05/14/2009, -0/+14Clearly the island was popping them around in time in order to put people where they need to be to create the reality that they entered in 2004, so when the second plane crashed in 2007 and they disappeared to 1977, it was temporary.
When the bomb goes off, it causes "the incident" and having no more use for them there, the island transports the remaining crew back to 2007. Richard Alpert just thought they had died at that moment, but he was wrong.
"They are coming" refers to the Losties who are returning to 2007 to rejoin the current timeline, and they will eventually inherit control of the island from Jacob and his buddy who inhabits dead people.
IMHO, anyway. - javy925, on 05/14/2009, -1/+15I'm going to need to freeze myself until 2010. I don't think I can wait for the final season
- muxaulo, on 05/13/2009, -1/+14I hear a prolapse
- Sogui, on 05/14/2009, -0/+12I dont believe the "they" are Ilana and the "good guys". It's possible but...
His warning of "They're coming" seemed to be a more dire warning about a more sinister force coming to the island. It doesn't make sense that a man who's controlled the island for ages and is nearly omnipotent and omniscient would use his last words to tell his also extremely powerful ageless nearly omniscient opponent "black shirt from opening scene" that there were 4 guys outside who are about as intimidating as a sack of potatoes that might blow his cover. (The same guys who won "most polite kidnappers" a few years back with Miles in the van)
He uses "they" as a vague warning, knowing that whoever is "coming" is so significant that Jacob doesn't even need to specify who it is. Clearly Mr.Blackshirt would know who "they" are. A bunch of rank-and-file "good guys" who were recently recruited to help Jacob would hardly register as an ominous "they" on Mr.Blackshirt's radar. This guy has apparently survived in some form for hundreds of years and has the ability to take various forms, I seriously doubt that he cares about some punks outside who might blow his cover, especially when he seems to have some kind of alliance with "Smoky" (who encourages Ben to help Blackshirt kill Jacob).
I believe that Jacob, a force of good tied entirely to the island, tried to use his dying breath to warn Blackshirt about an imminent threat that overshadowed even their own 100+ year rivalry. After all while Blackshirt wanted to kill Jacob due to differences in philosophy, it's clear that they are both working "for" the island. Jacob, realizing his own imminent death, tries to warn the only other man he feels is capable of doing something about "they". - BongWaterSmells, on 05/14/2009, -1/+13buried for not featuring Charlie
- ogleby, on 05/14/2009, -0/+11They can die in the past.
- zip000, on 05/14/2009, -1/+10No. Since returning to the island, Locke hasn't been Locke. It has been the guy in the Black shirt on the beach.
He's probably the same guy that's been impersonating the ghosts of everyone on the island all along. - BMcClure937, on 05/14/2009, -0/+9You are an idiot
- directedition, on 05/14/2009, -1/+10Hell yeah. As beloved as Hurley is, I still feel like he gets dumped on too much for his weight and crap. Letting him hook up with Libbie would have been awesome.
- BMcClure937, on 05/14/2009, -0/+9How about Kate, Juliet and Shannon... much better situation
- Trooperof3, on 05/14/2009, -0/+9He left because he didn't like Hawaii. I would never leave the chance to be on LOST
- Heywoodj, on 05/14/2009, -2/+11What the ***** is John Locke? Jesus didn't we just do this with Kara Thrace?
- megawiz, on 05/14/2009, -1/+10hell yes, I would love a spin off series focusing on Ben's story.. we still don't really know his exact loyalties and intentions but he's one of the most interesting characters, definitely the most thoughtful.
- str3ama, on 05/14/2009, -0/+9what about Vincent - he runs around all the island without impunity and everybody loves him.
- LegomanArt, on 05/14/2009, -0/+8Sorta, but they have always been come and go characters anyway.
- BMcClure937, on 05/14/2009, -0/+8I totally agree with you. The character and plot development in Lost is amazing... I am looking forward to the final season. Tonight's season finale was a great ending to this season and a great transition to next!!
- kingamoon, on 05/13/2009, -2/+10I'm Lost©
- superman1023, on 05/14/2009, -1/+9why is the Smoke monster not on the list?
- crawfishDigger, on 05/14/2009, -1/+9Fan service and goodbye to the well-liked characters. I bet they become the "Adam and Eve" in the caves that we saw in Season 1...
- zip000, on 05/14/2009, -0/+7My theory is that the person referred to as Jacob for the whole series up until last night was not actually Jacob, but was instead the unnamed guy in the black shirt. The black shirt guy is the bad guy, and he's been leading the Others into doing malevolent things in order to bring about a very long and elaborate plan to kill the real Jacob.
Whenever we've seen ghosts of people, that was the bad guy. He's the one that tries to make people believe that they have a destiny and that they don't have a choice. The real Jacob in this episode always told everyone that they had a choice.
Also, an additional clue to support my theory, on the beach where Jacob and the other guy were talking, the other guy said something disparaging about people and technology, and Jacob said something about it just being progress - as if it was no big deal. The guy in the cabin that we've been calling Jacob supposedly hates technology.
I think the "They are coming" is referring to the group that have Locke's body. They're obviously related to the Others in some way - what was that that Richard said to her? - and they'll discover the real Jacob/fake Jacob thing. - philomatic, on 05/14/2009, -0/+7As much as I hated the characters, their episode was one of the best stand-alone episodes. The whole "Pablo lies..." thing, come on!
- MrInfallible, on 05/14/2009, -0/+7What about Shannon?
- serenejen, on 05/13/2009, -2/+9They're just hoping that no one notices this because they're too busy trying to understand how the characters can die in the past. (Because they explain it every episode, so I'm assuming no one understood that audience testing)
- Akaricloud, on 05/14/2009, -0/+6Clearly the island wants him for itself.
- robdiggity, on 05/14/2009, -0/+6Ooooh! I get it, you're dim!
- gvoakes, on 05/14/2009, -3/+9I'd like to give the shaft to Kate, and Juliet, and Sun
- philomatic, on 05/14/2009, -0/+6It pisses me off so much that the actress that played Libby refuses to reprise her role as a guest star when the producers of Lost have asked her.

- directedition, on 05/14/2009, -0/+6Yeah, I want England to give Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje back to us.
- focusnothought, on 05/14/2009, -0/+5YES. It felt completely out of place, and strange. It was totally for the fans.
- hushpuppy20, on 05/15/2009, -0/+5-Finale Spoilers-
Looks like Juliet shoots to the top of the list after last nights finale!
She fell down a shaft after having a chain crush her middle and then had to "kill" herself by beating a bomb with a rock while she was coughing up blood (to save her own life?) and bleeding to death. Not in a pretty actress "Oh, I must die a hero *swoon*" way, but in a nasty painful agonizingly realistic way.
Hardcore!
I didn't know she had it in her! - weaponR, on 05/14/2009, -0/+5blackshirt is smokey...
- crawfishDigger, on 05/14/2009, -0/+5I'm guessing "they" refer to the Losties from the past. The bomb blows up and they'll be back in the present time.
- bboyjkang, on 05/14/2009, -1/+5Mark Pellegrino as Rita's ex-husband in Dexter = annoying *****
