- jonkdavis, on 07/16/2009, -1/+230Fond memories growing up! There was a time when shows for pre-teens didn't run on idiocy-driven laughs and ***** storytelling. AYAotD is to this day one of my favorite TV shows. Thank you, YouTube :)
- vtbarrera, on 07/16/2009, -0/+171I haven't seen this show in such a long time, but I remember how creepy some of those episodes seemed when I was a kid. I really remember loving the SNICK lineup.
- gianttoolbox11, on 07/16/2009, -0/+168When I was around 6, I would watch Are You Afraid of the Dark nightly. Apparently, one night, my dad told me he was going to mow the lawn and he'd be right outside. I was so entranced by the episode I was watching that I didn't hear him. After I got the ***** scared out of me by the show, I ran around the house almost in tears looking for my dad. I couldn't find him after 2 whole minutes of searching so I called the police.
My dad walked in as I was saying "Officer, I can't find my daddy." My dad still gives me ***** to this day about being a scared little bitch. - AndrewKC6, on 07/16/2009, -0/+109***** Zeebo man, that clown is evil as *****.
- mysticalone, on 07/16/2009, -1/+88Good god I miss my childhood. 1980-1996 shall be known as The Best TV Decade. All the greatest LSD induced shows were on. Dora the Explorer ain't got ***** on Richard Scary's Busy World

One that I loved that it missed is the kid who played pinball all day instead of watching the store, then one day he winds up inside the pinball machine as the mall turns into one, and he is doomed to play forever.
- iNiz, on 07/16/2009, -0/+68Why was your dad mowing the Lawn at NIGHT?
- readacook, on 07/16/2009, -0/+63This article should have been submitted to the Midnight Society.
- macromorgan, on 07/16/2009, -0/+60Man, I used to love Snick when I was a kid... something great to look forward to every Saturday night.
And what about that episode with the glasses that could see into another dimension? That episode was pretty damn freaky. - Blinker1315, on 07/16/2009, -1/+59I've never had a problem with clowns, dead or alive, although my wife's creeped out by them. "Are You Afraid of the Dark" was, along with R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps," my boys' favorite show when they were pre-teens. I liked it too. A really upgrade over "Barney."
- DirtyBurger, on 07/16/2009, -0/+55You ever tried chopping up bodies with your lawn mower during the day? It attracts unwanted attention.
- ghostie, on 07/16/2009, -3/+55What about The Bookish Babysitter? That one scared the bejeezus out of me. Ah, memories. I can't believe these came out in the early nineties. It seems not so long ago!
- mathyu21, on 07/16/2009, -2/+50this ***** makes me feel old.

- omae, on 07/16/2009, -1/+38yea i was a HUGE nick fan back in the day, Salute your shorts and Rocko's modern life, and we cant forget ren & stimpy.
but the sad thing is, 10 years from now when our generation gets bumped out people will be saying "oh i miss the jonas brothers and Zoey 101, great shows" - AxFactor, on 07/16/2009, -0/+35"Salute Your Shorts" was the BEST
- animenick65, on 07/16/2009, -1/+35Boy do I miss this show. Why does it seem that looking back on shows like this, that everything thats shown today looks like utter crap?
- snobrder218, on 07/16/2009, -0/+33I can not digg your comment enough. I miss the shows on Nick that really had no point. They were great, and just random. Wild and Crazy Kids is an example, or ANY game show that used to be on Nick. What the hell happened?! Kids these days have no idea what it was to be a 90s Nick Kid.
I seriously look back on those days and miss them so much. Why doesn't Nick have a "Classic Nick" channel. They took G.A.S. off the air a few years back. :( - TomTruelle, on 07/16/2009, -1/+34Rockos modern life
- mimigins, on 07/16/2009, -0/+31Legends of the Hidden Temple!
- rocknog, on 07/16/2009, -0/+30The 13th floor episode freaked me right the hell out. But then again, I've always had a fear of being abducted by aliens. And the whole "no face" business was just freaky.
- ChaosProfessor, on 07/16/2009, -1/+30Holy Santa clause *****, my night just got full
- mrebay007, on 07/16/2009, -0/+28"I'm cold."
- gimmeagob, on 07/16/2009, -0/+28I remember one where some kid keeps seeing creepy ***** come out of some door in his basement. It ended with a voice talking to him through the door, pretty much telling him to murder his sister. Most ***** up ending to an episode period.
- wtrwlkr, on 07/16/2009, -1/+28Quite possibly because the shows today are utter crap?
- RudeTurnip, on 07/16/2009, -0/+25Rocko's Modern Life had some really mature content that did not go unnoticed by me and my brother. I remember an episode about an amusement park where a guy is in a boat by himself floating out of the "Tunnel of Love" ride and snickering.

- glaz, on 07/16/2009, -0/+23The ghost that said, "I'm cold." The aliens on the 13th floor with no faces AND they appear on TV. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...the weird glasses that showed you black figures from other dimensions pointing at you. We were ***** 11 years old.
- JerseySlam, on 07/16/2009, -0/+22Because that's when the real bad ass grass comes out to play.
- stonebone4, on 07/16/2009, -0/+21that's SAR-DOE
NO MR., accent on the "DOE" - ADLima, on 07/16/2009, -0/+21The Secret World of Alex Mack
- Maxwell1234, on 07/16/2009, -0/+21Always loved this show. Does anybody else remember the show Erie Indiana? Very similar except it was some adventurous kid solving spooky mysteries.
- leif777, on 07/16/2009, -1/+22I was the long haired guy in "tale of the scary music".... my hair was the creepiest thing that was on that show.
- SeanRockCity, on 07/16/2009, -0/+20salute your shorts
- imamnsta, on 07/16/2009, -1/+21Aaaah Real Monsters
Ickis and Krumb, how I miss thee - BryanTravers, on 07/16/2009, -0/+19It sticks out in my mind as one of the scariest because it's one of the few that never get resolved. The kid is just screwed. So while it was not the all around scariest, the aftershock of the episode sticks with you if you're a kid because it doesn't turn out ok.
- mizatt, on 07/16/2009, -0/+19THE SIIIILVER MONKEY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gnpo1DR3UgA - ManUnitdFan, on 07/16/2009, -1/+19As a kid, I was always far more scared of the clown they pan across during the opening credits. Everything else was gravy after that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jitg-3xbmKU - urik88, on 07/16/2009, -0/+18Oh yeah it was amazing! I remember how bad I felt at the end for the kid.
- shawnjan8, on 07/16/2009, -0/+18LOL
- ducttape36, on 07/16/2009, -0/+18i thought the pinball wizard one was pretty sweet, one of the few without a happy ending. superspecs was like that too.
- dimebagtwenty, on 07/16/2009, -0/+17Anyone remember "Zeke the Plumber?"
Salute Your Shorts was the greatest! - wingwangdoodle, on 07/16/2009, -0/+17I have to admit that as a kid that doll maker one really freaked me out... but I also think porcelain dolls are effing creepy.
- JakeyG14, on 07/16/2009, -0/+16Goosebumps was a bit of a let down from the books (unsurprisingly), but the books were awesome.
- shujin, on 07/16/2009, -0/+16I don't remember the name of it, but there was this one episode with a bloody monster thing and a pool and holy *****
scarred for life
even the commercials were terrifying - funklor, on 07/16/2009, -0/+16Anyone remember one with a pretty charred, (literally) smoking fireman? Don't really remember it at all, except it taking place in a firehouse and maybe involved some sort of alleged betrayal.
- bci84, on 07/16/2009, -0/+15I remember one episode where the kid worked in a bowling alley and later on you found out he was dead. Something like he died in a train accident on prom night. Not really sure how he died. I think his brother was the only one that could see him. I always felt the sixth sense kinda ripped it off.
- ducttape36, on 07/16/2009, -0/+15i think it was on last, to keep the really little kids from watching. i didnt care for roundhouse, it was like those school assemblys when some theater troope tried to teach kids lessons like 'stay off drugs'. boring.
