- Rizin, on 02/08/2008, -15/+827Its over! Damn it Conan you don't need the writers!
Leno you do - jewdiknight, on 02/08/2008, -13/+555Late Night TV, I beg you not to take back any writers, the last month and a half of late night tv has been the best I have ever seen.
- svanelli, on 02/08/2008, -13/+342Sweet. Can we still have an Office Christmas ep even though it's February?
- ajamison, on 02/08/2008, -37/+297Perhaps LA will become "normal" again...it hasn't been the same here since the strike started.
Now to more pressing matters: Start working on those LOST episodes ASAP :^) - EvilAnimator, on 02/08/2008, -13/+261Yes!! More Offices!!! (pumps fist Dwight-style)
- Aindrea, on 02/08/2008, -26/+222Bring back Hiro Nakamura now.
- sockpuppets, on 02/08/2008, -14/+204Let me write a season of 24 for you right now:
Terrorist plot, Jack bauer intercepts. Plot twists, plot gets larger. CTU is infiltrated. Jack has a new wife/lover. Someone in CTU dies/humps a coworker. Plot twist again- oh snap you didn't see that coming! More shootouts and call ins on an impossibly complicated cell phone. Jack whispers because it's cool. Plot gets ridiculous but you're invested so you continue to watch and hope the suffering ends. Arabic guy gets a nuke/chemical weapon and does something bad but is caught before he blows the world up. Blah, blah... Jack saves the day but suffers personal loss in the process.
There, let's start filming. - Fr3ak3d, on 02/08/2008, -24/+198w00t
Let the Lost Filming begin - Sunscreen, on 02/08/2008, -23/+177***** the RIAA.
- jaimemberart, on 02/08/2008, -13/+165Too bad Tim Kring already said it's too late to do the next storyline in Heroes. At least Lost, House, and Grey's Anatomy will/should return.
Wait. Did I say Grey's Anatomy? I meant something far manlier than that. - spammvp, on 02/08/2008, -45/+178***** YA!
- robfarrell, on 11/27/2008, -54/+16324 now please. Thanks.
- Rikushix, on 02/08/2008, -7/+114Ryan started the fire...
*does a victory dance* - xTerrySchiav0x, on 02/08/2008, -11/+109- Technically its not officially over just at 99% over....

"However, a WGA representative said, "The strike is NOT over -- as you know, we are under a press blackout, but I can tell you that the strike is NOT over."
http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/tv/ny-etstrik ... - PDAIsAOk, on 02/08/2008, -18/+101Can we get more than 8 episodes of Lost this season please?
- rentmitchum, on 02/08/2008, -38/+109Oh it is so fashionable to take a shot at Jay Leno but the fact is the man is out out there every night with fresh material, ..and he's charming!
- RandomTaskMan, on 02/08/2008, -8/+78why does it matter?
***** THE RIAA - Marvelboy, on 02/08/2008, -2/+66From what I hear L.A. wasn't normal even before the strike.
*Rimshot*
But seriously folks, enjoy your steak. - joessandwich, on 02/08/2008, -0/+63FOR ***** SAKE IT'S NOT OVER YET!
Michael Eisner is not in a place to make that comment. It is likely that it may be over by next week, but first the language needs to be drafted, then the Negotiating Committee needs to present it to the WGA membership in bicoastal meetings on Saturday. The membership needs to show that they are on board, and only then can they decide to end the strike.
Is it possible the strike will end Monday? Yes. Is it a sure thing? No. So don't get your hopes up yet.
If you want some good info on it... check Nikki Finke's blog, she's a reporter who's been following the entire strike: http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/wga-timetabl ...
I work in the industry and want nothing more than to have our writers back, just to make my life easier.... but I can't stand when people jump to conclusions. - Rndm_Tngnt, on 02/08/2008, -2/+63Or you work in the entertainment industry?
- jo5hlee, on 02/08/2008, -19/+80its about time.
- ktkc7c, on 02/08/2008, -20/+80Aka no late night tv? Yah boo-yah grandmama I am drunk. So I dont care what you think. I am the king. of dig. I am the dig commanderer. You are not a clever.
- Lixie, on 02/08/2008, -9/+69Yeah to new House and Heroes episodes.
- jess38288, on 02/08/2008, -4/+59I second that! The 8 Lost episodes just aren't going to cut it. I want my Lost & The Office back!
- SmackMyMac, on 02/08/2008, -12/+58The Office be Praised!
- Rikkochet, on 02/08/2008, -10/+56Don't reply to the first post just to get your comment at the top.
- stonedslacker, on 02/08/2008, -9/+50Leno is basically like a robot telling jokes, the Mitt Romney of comedians. He comes in every day, reads the prompter in a funny way, then settles down for a scripted interview and goes home. If thats your idea of comedy well and good.
But real comedy and humor comprises of the host's eccentricities (like Conan), his improv (like Colbert and Conan), legendary interviews (like Letterman) and great passion (like Stewart). These guys all have a personality, an X-factor which Leno severely lacks. - cowabunga15, on 02/08/2008, -8/+48The Office+Me= :)
- goonbaggins, on 02/08/2008, -5/+45THANK YOU!
I've missed The Office, Scrubs, and Heroes. I also hope this happened soon enough so there won't have to be another gap of no new Lost episodes. - Lokishot, on 02/08/2008, -14/+53Victory Dance!!!!!
^(^-^)> (>^_^)> ^(^_^)^ v(^_^)v ^( Y )> - blitzer, on 02/08/2008, -27/+63If this strike had any affect on your normal life.. you watch way too much TV.
- gnslngr1919, on 02/08/2008, -2/+38They did it for House...
- fishbert, on 02/08/2008, -0/+36I hate it when the progress bar gets stuck at 99%
- Kamill85, on 02/08/2008, -3/+38I believe you're referring to 'yeah', rentmitchum.
- phogasmic, on 02/08/2008, -11/+44I'm glad 30 Rock is coming back!!! Woo Hoo! However, The Daily SHow, The Colbert Report and Conan O'Brien have been hilariously recently. Do they really need writers?
- Jebrooks, on 02/08/2008, -3/+35DAMNIT CHLOE!
- skeeterou, on 02/08/2008, -5/+36No doubt. So many people going out of business. Hell my pockets have been light lately (I work in the industry). Also dugg up for new LOST episodes.
- infectbda, on 02/08/2008, -8/+39But cheap laughs are my favorite kind. And Conan needs his writers. No offense, but ring spins and singing country songs will only last you so long.
- brentinkc, on 02/08/2008, -2/+32You do realize that they're doing shows currently, right?
- nugge7, on 02/08/2008, -1/+30Speaking of Lost, how awesome was that episode tonight? WOW.
- BloodWenis, on 02/08/2008, -1/+30Agreed, any opportunity to say ***** the RIAA is well worth it!
***** 'EM! - adooga, on 02/08/2008, -1/+30No it's true. This has nothing to do with the first comment, so why post it as a reply?
- DIGGerPhelpsND, on 02/08/2008, -5/+33This is the best post I have ever read on Digg.
- brentinkc, on 02/08/2008, -8/+36You have a poor sense of humor.
- Gizza, on 02/08/2008, -12/+39Lost has writers? I thought it was just a bunch of monkeys with typewriters.
- gepetos, on 02/08/2008, -17/+43L O S T
- logicalnoise, on 02/08/2008, -3/+27"As a result of studio cutbacks, however, many of the writers who went on strike are unlikely to return to the same big-money contracts they'd had as individuals with the studios, Eisner said." so good and bad for the writers I guess.
- thrallie, on 02/08/2008, -0/+22what? Heroes is over?
- 6minuteabs, on 02/08/2008, -1/+22Of course there was. Gilmore Girls hasn't had a new episode in months. You must have noticed.
