- michaelrsa, on 11/06/2008, -10/+222See, this is why I love South Park, even on an issue such as the election they still maintain an unbiased view. Both the Obama supporters and McCain supporters were idiots and they painted McCain and Obama both in a good light. I have to say that beyond South Park, I can think of no other show that maintains such an unbiased attitude.
- CarStan, on 11/06/2008, -9/+217BOOM, baby!
- sjbdallas, on 11/06/2008, -2/+149How about Palin with an British accent? A master-thief pretending to be a backwoods rube?
- AmyVernon, on 11/06/2008, -9/+125Yeah, South Park's still got it.
- bigfatphony19, on 11/07/2008, -4/+101"Obama's president, everything is gonna be SO AWESOME now."
- sjbdallas, on 11/06/2008, -0/+89To be fair, when it comes to South Park being "in poor taste", that was very tame.
- mshtml, on 11/06/2008, -4/+88Great episode. The deranged supporters of both candidates who are lying to everyone is profoundly accurate.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 11/07/2008, -5/+84I think the message for both camps of supporters is what made this episode:
To McCain Supporters: Don't kill yourselves or lock your youselves in your bunker just yet.
To Obama Supporters: Don't quit your day job. - wafflesomd, on 11/07/2008, -1/+77"And Mccain will go in dressed as a football player"
- vedema, on 11/07/2008, -0/+72Don't worry, she can still run for Vice-President in 2009.
- SirBrittanicus, on 11/07/2008, -0/+68"Can we keep partying? Yes we can!"
- MorganMghee, on 11/06/2008, -15/+81this was freakin' hilarious and genius! I was mildly amused that it was about the election, surprised that they got the acceptance and concession speeches in one night after, then confused at the low and behind five, and then I was messaging friends to watch it while laughing so hard I was crying.
- mikesbaker, on 11/07/2008, -1/+58Obama's 11
- leonidas333, on 11/06/2008, -3/+59McCain's voice is down pat but they need to improve on Obama's animation and voice in future. I love that they had this ready to drop around the election period
- jon31rm, on 11/07/2008, -9/+52"Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery."
-- Calvin Coolidge - neo991lb, on 11/07/2008, -1/+41The heist was interesting satire but not necessary hilarious. I loved that they pegged about 99% of the reactions to the election.
"Yeah Obama's elected EVERYTHING'S going to be GREAT now."
"Oh *****, the world's gonna end since Obama got elected." - dafragsta, on 11/07/2008, -0/+39I love the over-exuberance and over-despair from the supporters who took it overboard. It was awesome that they made fun of the supporters instead of the politicians this time.
- alamedaman, on 11/07/2008, -8/+45yes they stole 700 billion from Americans along with others in government.
- JacD, on 11/07/2008, -8/+43McCain and Obama both got painted in a good light?? The whole theme of the episode was that everyone just wants to be President so they can rob America silly.
- cbrunet, on 11/06/2008, -11/+45For all the Canadians out there: http://www.thecomedynetwork.ca/shows/showdetails.a ...
- Smokeydabear, on 11/07/2008, -0/+28I really didn't look too deep into the episode. It was pretty damn entertaining though. I love the brief cameo by Cartman.
- Fantom, on 11/06/2008, -29/+54Trying not to post spoilers here, but a certain scene about a certain someone's grandmother was in poor taste...but was not mean spirited IMO so they get away with it, just. Very funny *****. Genius. Along with the more obvious thematic elements I detect an allusion to what Michael Moore would call the greatest heist of all time (Wall Street bailout).
- BilliD, on 11/07/2008, -3/+27IKE is the freakin best!!! lol! inside man!
- Sornos, on 11/07/2008, -0/+22That cracked me up. Should've saw that coming but didn't.
- MonTheBuds, on 11/07/2008, -2/+24So if Obama ever does a Digg dialog will we ask him about this?
- iloveobama, on 11/07/2008, -0/+20They're libertarians
- masonreloaded, on 11/07/2008, -2/+22After 10 years or so of South Park, THAT is the first part that made you uneasy?
Yeah it was in bad taste, but it made me smile. Jokes like that sum up what South Park is about. Not just being gross/vulgar for the sake of it, but making it a pretty clever part of the story... - inactive, on 11/07/2008, -1/+19We will name him....sparkles.
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 11/07/2008, -4/+22Really, you are trying to make an argument for good taste when talking about South Park. Really?
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -1/+18http://www.thepiratebay.org
- reuscel, on 11/07/2008, -1/+17"Obama you're so fine
You're so fine you blow my mind!
Hey Obama! Hey Obama!"
I love Randy Marsh. He's such a perfect everyman character. - minoss, on 11/07/2008, -5/+21Obviously the only way anyone would become educated would be if the government provided it. As evident by the face how cheap government schools are and how great they are!
/s - mishabear, on 11/07/2008, -1/+16Ninja Palin with intelligence. Gotta love the fantasy!
- sprotacular, on 11/07/2008, -3/+17Really? REALLY?? REALLY?!??!??!?! REAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- ButterLoyalist, on 11/07/2008, -0/+14You guys wanna buy a TV?
- Antebios, on 11/06/2008, -3/+16BOOM, baby!
- dhughes, on 11/07/2008, -2/+15 Even if it did, that's not the point, it should be the WWW not the USWW.
- Soytaco, on 11/07/2008, -0/+12Watching him sprint away from the guards was priceless
- n8o8, on 11/07/2008, -7/+19I was hoping one of the doctors fixing McCain/Obama supporters at Hell's Pass hospital would have been Dr. Ron Paul.
- jackcrack7, on 11/07/2008, -0/+12You should read their production blog. Every episode of South Park is put together in the 1 week period leading up to the episode. They typically don't deliver a final copy to Comedy Central until an hour or 2 before it airs. I'm sure that they had a majority of the episode completed and were ready to throw in the last few scenes as the election unrolled.
- sittered, on 11/08/2008, -0/+12The show IS biased - against people. Seriously, more often than not lately, it's people as a group that Stone and Parker are mocking. Look at the hobo episodes, the multiple global warming episodes, the Family Guy episode.
Jesus, look at the poop-out-the-mouth episode. - Key2gb, on 11/07/2008, -13/+25best south park since imagination land
- whobenefits, on 11/07/2008, -6/+18Giant douche or turd sandwich? Vote or Die Bitch.
- MrBigB, on 11/07/2008, -0/+12South park... = awesome
- blueRAP, on 11/08/2008, -0/+11"Hey boss! ***** YOU!"
"It's OK Stan, everything changes now." - Wamzlee, on 11/07/2008, -0/+11Possibly. Perhaps interesting to know from Wikipedia about another show of theirs:
"Parker and Stone stated before the 2000 Presidential Election that they would create a satire about whoever won. According to their DVD commentary, they were "95% certain that Gore would win" and started developing the series under the title Everybody Loves Al. When the final election results were in limbo, production was delayed until the winner was determined. With George W. Bush's election, the title became the entendre-rich That's My Bush! The final episode involved Dick Cheney forcing Bush to step down, and featured an alternate title music called That's My Dick! which, later in the episode, changed to What A Dick!" - Sornos, on 11/07/2008, -0/+11It had potential. The bits with Craig were superb, but they followed a little bit too much of the formulaic South Park "serious people talking seriously about silly things" routine.
- Nitroxide, on 11/08/2008, -1/+11Yeah ***** him for trying to save us a little bit of time in searching for a link.
Shut the ***** up - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10Randy to his boss after flipping him off: “Obama is not talking about YOU!”
- feignNU, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10Yeah seriously...the graphic and violent repeated raping of indiana jones wasn't maybe a little more offensive than the suggestion that what we see of our politicians is nothing but a front? I mean if they had JUST been making fun of his grandmother, it would be one thing, but there was actually a POINT to be made, so I really see nothing bad about it.
