- xParker, on 09/12/2008, -3/+132Great design work, this must have been a pain in the ass to upload all the videos. They've all been uploaded recently.
- adroit, on 07/07/2008, -3/+123Actually it was a pain in the ass. But now its there and there is tons of stuff to watch!
David Carmona, AJ Vaynerchuk and myself have been uploading for the past two weeks at work.
Hope you guys like it! - ogmak, on 07/07/2008, -2/+70Love the widescreen 16:9 vids on youtube.
- MavRevMatt, on 07/07/2008, -1/+59I think this is great, since it will help Revision3 get more viewers who might not have otherwise found them.
However I would like to see all the canceled shows uploaded at some point too. - ComputerGeekMat, on 07/08/2008, -1/+50Was going to say that should have been a job for an intern, but then I noticed in your profile it says "Intern at Revison3."
It all makes sense now. - inactive, on 07/07/2008, -6/+54I try to avoid YouTube whenever I can, but gotta show R3 some love.
- adroit, on 07/07/2008, -1/+36We can sell ads on youtube now as well... thats why we are doing full shows
- adroit, on 07/07/2008, -2/+29I am on it!
- ELLIS1128, on 07/07/2008, -6/+27I prefer iTunes high definition.
- TimFrost, on 07/07/2008, -4/+23I'm surprised Revision3 have done this, considering almost all of their revenue comes from advertising on their site, they're just giving people ways to watch it without promoting their adverts. Surely they'd do better to put on short clips, almost like trailers for the shows with the funniest bit from each episode every week, with links to the full videos in the description so that they'd get more money.
- kevincupp, on 07/07/2008, -1/+20Thanks to pixel princess Stephanie Chu for the great design, always amazing work.
- manitoba98xp, on 07/08/2008, -2/+19"Revision3 is the first media company that gets it, born from the Internet, on-demand generation. Unlike aggregators, mash-ups, and user-generated video sites, Revision3 is an actual TV network for the web, creating and producing its own original, broadcast quality shows.
The company was founded in 2005 by technology visionaries Kevin Rose, Jay Adelson, Dan Huard, Ron Gorodetzky, and David Prager, because they couldn't find anything they wanted to watch on traditional television, and is now led by Internet TV pioneer Jim Louderback."
http://revision3.com/about/ - SubmittedBai, on 07/08/2008, -5/+21This is cool! Now I can watch Diggnation on my iPhone, and still have disk space left for my music.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -1/+17He was molested by it.
- Erfus, on 07/08/2008, -0/+16You could before if you went to diggnation.com and clicked on small quicktime, it would stream.
- PrometheusZero, on 07/08/2008, -0/+14I don't see why everyone is hating on YouTube now. I really don't care for how much compression there is , as long as I can see what the hell's going on, and it's super fast for me.
- bliks, on 07/08/2008, -0/+10You could use Large Quicktime as well.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -0/+9The page is strangely looking fresher and neater than any of the channel pages I have ever seen. The repeating background images and all, if you know what I mean. Subscribed.
- LeapsandBounds, on 07/07/2008, -0/+9this is cool, but i'm loving Revision3 on Viddler so's that i can share certain segments w/ friends as apposed to failing to convince them to watch an entire podcast.
http://www.viddler.com/search/people/?searchString ... - Tyler2tall147, on 07/08/2008, -1/+9Any plans on getting ALL the Diggnations on there? I've only been watching for like a year, and would like to stream all the older eps on my wii
- tas08, on 07/08/2008, -2/+10But, and no offense at all to R3, why would I ever want to go to Youtube and use their P.O.S. video player when I can just watch the videos on revision3.com and actually be able fast forward and rewind, and in higher quality?
- sexybobo, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7It is still a lot better than most stuff on TV.
- danjwray, on 07/09/2008, -0/+7Because they want people to be able to watch in as many ways as possible. Why not?
- diecastbeatdown, on 07/08/2008, -0/+5that's good... revision3 streams suck horribly when put to fullscreen, something to do with their encoding. everything becomes very choppy and frames are dropped. youtube may be of a lesser quality overall in terms of picture but the fullscreen streaming WORKS.
- bliks, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4I find this kind of pointless. I mean, why watch Rev3 shows in horrible quality when you can watch them in HD or much better quality then you can on youtube.
I guess its for exposure... but still.
EDIT: I also just checked some of the videos. Some say "We're sorry, this video is no longer available." So much for this idea. - maadmonkey, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Yep, a retard is officially on digg
- tomwhughes, on 07/08/2008, -4/+8I did too, but you don't need to tell everyone.
- depro9, on 07/08/2008, -1/+5large xvid ftw
- TheWorm, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4I just discovered viddler a couple days ago. Best site for flash videos. Quality is amazing.
- willyummy69, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4finally i can watch all the videos at work. the rev3 site is blocked where i work as a "media download" site, yet youtube is not. go figure.
- t4ll3y, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4Dugg down.
- LilJimmyNordin, on 07/09/2008, -1/+5Maybe it refused to molest him.
- Harbinger1080, on 07/08/2008, -1/+4I love revision3... I miss the old TechTV.
- seldon452, on 07/08/2008, -3/+6If you don't like it, don't watch it on youtube. Watch it on the main site.
- mari1ee, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3thanks, kevin :)
- bman85, on 07/09/2008, -1/+4So's your face, just to let you know.
- Kflo, on 07/08/2008, -5/+8Why do you try to avoid YouTube? Just curious.
- bs0l, on 07/08/2008, -2/+5That's pretty awesome. Just wondering, how do you get videos longer than 10 minutes? Do you have to be a company and pay money to YouTube or something?
- Daniel591992, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Doesn't youtube have some sort of multi-video uploader thing, or did you have to do it one-by-one?
- chussy, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3This video is no longer available.
- sl123000, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2No just a director account.
- Jaserr83, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2They're friends w/ G4?
- nitroburn, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3A little bit late aren't we?
- Mr_Lyle, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Did anyone notice that over the last couple of days, youtube's high quality feature seems to have disappeared? The links to high quality are still on the page but when you click on them, the same ***** standard quality version of the videos play. There's no difference between high and standard. The Rev3 videos look great regardless but even they're the same in standard and high. Go find a random video that has a high quality version and compare to see what I mean.
- mrbradg, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2done
- zl0t, on 07/08/2008, -2/+4"Revision3's entire library..."
Diggnation only have 25 episodes on youtube :s - techblogLAT, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Plus they sell inline advertising for many videos -- like Diggnation.
- Briii, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Everyone dont forget to subscribe!
- Loco801, on 07/08/2008, -2/+3Sweet. Now people on YouTube can see what a REAL podcast is.
- Maver1c, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2The only problem is that what made Revision3 great was the High Quality broadcasts. Maybe it's just me but I always prefer the High Def Quicktime files and if I saw one of those shows on youtube I'd probably skip it...
