- wild, on 10/12/2007, -1/+89No reminder needed. it will be on YouTube by midnight.
- RoosterSoap, on 10/12/2007, -4/+75The only thing that is guaranteed is that regardless of what happens, the Internets will proclaim that O'Reilly made a fool of himself and that Colbert is God.
- Norse, on 10/12/2007, -4/+56So does this mean you are going to be there? Twice?
- CaptShmo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+50Colbert is a pretty intelligent guy with a good grasp of politics, i think he will hold his own, and yeah, if all else fails, he'll make fart noises.
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -5/+50Yeah, O'Reily will just act nice on the show. If they start arguing, colbert will say something funny and O'reily will just laugh and give that "I'm better than you and it's not worth my time arguing" look
- pmcall221, on 10/12/2007, -1/+45I'm half expecting a warp in the space-time continuum
- RedStateRetard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+39I see a lot of softball questions being tossed tonight.
I'll still watch them, but not expect too much. - FamousAnus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40And anyone who dares to criticize the Colbert shall be dugg down hard.
Guaranteed :). - Easty, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Bearowned: Complete the sentence.
I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a ______ - xigxag, on 10/12/2007, -8/+36down me
- dagobah77, on 10/12/2007, -44/+69Did you see O'Reilly on Letterman? He handled Letterman well and Letterman was a complete douche. Plus O'Reilly said he likes Colbert.
- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -5/+27Stares @ LetsGoHawks
Ok... We'll watch you instead...
*stare* O_O
I'm bored already. - caseyjlaw, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24It might be a let down: O'Reilly didn't get to where he is by accident. Still, Colbert certainly has the power of total absurdity on his side.
- UberNick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Don't you think both O'Reilly and Colbert be playing their respective characters?
- NinjaBoy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21papa bear!
@BearOwned why do you always reply with "baller? - VeryBoredNow, on 10/12/2007, -51/+68I can't wait. I hope Colbert rips O'Reilly a new one.
- pdxa4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15like you won't be able to find it on youtube 30 seconds after it airs.....
- FUElitists, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I'd rather see O'realy face off with Oberman.
- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20O RLY?
http://imghost.eatshirt.com/tocard/billo.jpg - venir, on 10/12/2007, -2/+161994 called, they want their Nancy Kerrigan jokes back...
- BuddyDoQ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Either this will be the turning point of television as we know it, or, more likely, just another break between commercials.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -13/+23@akyra
... so... business as usual? - heffae, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Given that Digg is driven by the opinions of the users. Anything on the front page is by definition front page worthy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Here is the whole interview on Video
http://www.flicklife.com/061cc58ac43f91dc2f3f/Stephen_Colbert_interview_with_O_Reilly.html
I think it went good - thcobbs, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Donahue was a belligerent bastard to O'Reilly... Even called into question his nephew's service in the marines... Bill had every right to slug him.
It wasn't balls, it was purely vitriolic attacks with appeals to emotion. - akyra, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16It's not hard to make O'reilly look like an ass. David Letterman interview:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=436513987405453431&q=o+reilly+david+letterman - Jerim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I don't know. Colbert has balls. Remember what he did at the White Course Press Corps diner, and what he said at the Emmys. He can say stuff, but because it is part of a schtick, people don't take offense. Colbert also has a way of getting people to admit to things, under the guise that they are talking to a like minded person. I like when he was pushing Jack Welch to blame miners for getting black lung. I expect a dig or two, but nothing major. Colbert is not going to pass up this opportunity to try and get O'Reilly to say something foolish.
- Superflks, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11I'm afraid you are right.
O'Reilly knows what he is getting himself into. There was probably a contract written by both sides maybe even to the point where they know exactly what questions was to be asked. This would have REALLY been worth watching if it were live.
Still should be funny though. - bcos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It reminded me :|
- sergeantmudd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Actually, O'Reilly will be on Colbert's show first. The Report is taped in the middle of the day, the Factor is live

Full interview, screw dupers - TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Thank you so much for reminding me! I would have missed it for sure!
- spawnfree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Colbert may be a bit stiff at times, but i don't know of a more biting satirist in the US or here in the UK.
we need people like this, they sneak in and show the truth.
It wont make much difference tho, good men cannot do what bad men do every day.
people like O'Reilly look down on anyone who are not as super powerful as he thinks he is.
Bad childhood. lol. - Prototek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7They aren't going to rip each other apart but it also won't be boring. They are both entertainers and the news is their muse. I'm sure it will be a great interview but don't expect the planets to align.
- spazoidspam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@venir
That happened 13 years ago?!
ug, I'm aging too fast. - ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+51 popup, 6 banners, and 8 google ads... nice site.
Oh and intellitext ads - Great!
I'm pretty sure that I spotted some content in there somewhere before I clawed my eyes out : / - RealityCheque, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You aren't understanding. He is attempting to appear "cool" by showing that he will be playing a video game that he deems to be "fun"; however, he does not even know the correct title of said video game.
Conclusion: This person knows someone who has an XBOX360 and plays the game over at someone else's house. He is too poor to afford his own XBOX360 and simply wants to give off the illusion that he is part of the "in" crowd because he was recently introduced to a nine month old game.
By the way, NO ONE CARES how you will be spending your time Rosco. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7To quote Bob Swerski's Quiz Masters:
The senseless waste of pitting these two mighty forces of nature against each other, like matter vs. anti-matter, will be a tragedy, not only for the teams involved but for our planet. All nations must band together, to ensure that such a conflagration never takes place. - hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5At one point I thought maybe they were going to swap hosting dutiies. Stephen Colbert would guest host the O'Reilly Factor and Bill O'Reilly would guest host the Colbert Report.
And "poppa bear"? We all know how Stephen Colbert says he feels about bears in general. The tone of approval with which he says "poppa bear" threw me from making the connection at first. - mwolfzorn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter maybe?.
Right acronym, wrong words... - Franklancer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yeah.. when you're the top in cable news you really need to bump your ratings by appearing with Colbert.. check the numbers.. O'Reilly's audience is at least five times the size of Colberts.. But I do believe O is trying to soften his image and reach out across partisan lines.. Same reason he tried to be nice on Letterman's show.
- revenge7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6He didn't really cop out. Stewart always seems to be nice to his guests.
- mirunit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Mopped the floor? How? As if they even debated anything.
- cyberscape2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6He's still a funny animal.
- dagobah77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Colbert has had tons of other people on his show... why not the man who inspired the show, Papa Bear himself? And why is it also not fit for O'Reilly to have someone on who dedicates an entire show to parodying him?
- hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6One way of looking at the fictional Stephen Colbert is that he's a Republican that takes everything the Republicans say or do the worst possible way, but then thinks it's a good thing. So if O'Reilly says something that can be used, Stephen will paint it bleak, but then say how great it is.
Example:
Bill O'Reilly:I'm cutting your mike
Stephen Colbert: I'm so honored! Anything I can do to help you show off your trakemark style. - KibibyteBrain, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Is O'Reilly racist or something? WTF is is problem with French people? Does he seriously being French makes someone anti-American/liberal. I know someone who is hardcore pro-bush who is French with an accent...
I really think he should watch what he says about an entire nationality. - spazoidspam, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Good, im not the only one who thought that the first time I heard of him
- keeney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You should really try firefox's Addblock Plus i didn't see any ads
- doti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah, I dont think he rips him one at all. Instead I think he plays the part of student and asks him to teach him the tricks of the trade. Maybe show some clips of him completely blowing someone off, then asking him for pointers? I think he rips him a new one, but in a completely sarcastic, honorable way...
