- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33Why would Jack Bauer want to be president? It'd just put red tape in the way of him killing people.
- jtrost, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18This just goes to show that 24 hasn't had a new story line since season 2.
I am admittedly a huge fan of this show, but no matter how much you like it you can't overlook the fact that each season more or less tells the same stories with different characters and situations. - Ransomowris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14What's the point of this article?
- triscuitbiscuit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I don't think I have ever hated a character in a show so much, but Noah Daniels- wow.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Chloe O'Brien for President,
Yeah thats the ticket! - cubs2234, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Jack would most likely find the remaining two nuclear bombs possesed by Abu Fayed and take him out single-handedly.
Jack Bauer > Chuck Norris - tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Dunno, Nadia was pretty smokin' tonight
- cubs2234, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13yes, but does the plot ever lose it's intensity?
- dtvibe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11well w/e palmer's back in the game so step aside cracker
- obsaysditto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11i think the vp on 24 is serious insecure and just wants to nuke'em all to feel worth a damn
- hbweb500, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Go back to watching Grey's Anatomy and quit trolling.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Daniels: "I feel the president is not thinking clearly!"
Palmer: "Bitch I am" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9I wonder what would happen to this theme if Jack Bauer were to become president.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8"What if Chuck Norris is the president next season.... As himself?"
Jack Bauer would beat his ass. - zioxide, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It's a damn TV show. It's just for entertainment, so don't take it so damn seriously.
- JCSaint, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Kiefer not Kether
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Noah Daniels is my favorite 24 character EVER. Why? Because he's just ruthlessly evil. The actor is great, he chews up the scenery like nobody else. It's so fun watching him on screen. He's truly the greatest villain this show has ever had, rivaling Nina Meyers. I hope he sticks around for the remainder of the season. All the other villains this season have been REALLY lame and pathetic, and I'm glad at least this one is played by such a good actor.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Am I watching a different show? Do they not always shine a bad light on the right-wing VP's civil rights restriction plan and *****?
- Shuk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5My real life political mentality: The ACTING Vice president cannot arbitrarily launch a nuke "within the hour". I would also be angry at Wayne Palmer (apparently the youngest president who ever lived) for choosing such an evil bitch as his running mate. I would also be baffled as to why his entire cabinet are evil and/or pure sheep. I also do not believe that terrorists should receive presidential pardons.
My political mentality altered for 24: OMG pardon Gredenko quickly and get the nukes fast! Then kill the bitch after you find Fayed! OMG Wake up the president so he can stop the nuke against the Middle East! Everyone listen to Jack as if it was the word of God! - handler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The VP is just trigger happy, I bet he is helping Fiad secretly. :p
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah, but it's going to turn out that:
- Audrey's murder was orchestrated from the top levels of the government.
- In addition to starting a war with (unnamed middle eastern country), Audrey's murder was largely an attempt to get revenge on Jack by a former ally (yes, even though he was in a Chinese prison at the time. They knew there was a good chance he'd get out).
- Somebody at CTU is helping the whole thing.
- A character thought to be dead will turn out to be alive (probably Audrey.... hopefully not Nina)
- That CTU mole I talked about? Yup, they got the wrong guy, but will catch the real double agent around episode 14. - hbweb500, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Jack's brother is still alive and is secretly in love with Audrey, who is also faking death.
Walid Al-Razani was behind all of the attacks.
Mike Novick will be the next president. - MikeKnoop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I'll bet you that next season is a new plot area for the show. I'm gonna predict it follows Jack around trying to get revenge on who killed Audrey.
-Mike - yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I, for one, welcome the geek president.
- pete10203, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hahaha Wayne Palmer woke up and bitched out the vice President, suckerrr
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Akaji: Jack doesn't follow protocol. He does a fine job breaking the law as a CTU agent, so what would stop him as Commander-in-Chief? More power to him then.
- tvfischer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just have one thing to say... this show has become ohh to predictable! Its the same basic underlying story line for the past 2 or 3 seasons!~No more comments!
- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1In hindsight, who would have thought that we would have voted for Bush.....twice?
- Boomister, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2yeah, the whole vp thing is bs as is the 'PARDON ME BEFORE I TELL YOU INFORMATION' thing
- divabox, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0No, sometimes he's more clever... I hope =)
- Evols, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No, Palmer was already president at the time and re-running for president therefore there was no democratic primary. It was for republicans and he was the republican candidate
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3What if Chuck Norris is the president next season.... As himself?
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's been a while since I watched season 3, but I thought Keeler was David Palmer's opponent in the democratic primary, not the actual race for the presidency. Also backed up by the fact that Mike Novick still works for him. How often do Republican presidents keep their Democratic predecessor's Chief of Staff around?
/This site also doesn't take the year into account when discussing Logan's rise to presidency. I doubt anybody would have voted for him though, had the option come up.... - DarkDragon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2He's not dead... Just allegedly insane =/
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Anyone notice a pretty decent resemblance to Dick Cheney?
- ruley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow, i wish we could be so lucky in the real world
/oh wait, dick cheney
//disclaimer: in no way does ruley endorse assassination of the president. - tehkain, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1More like Conan O'Brien
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeah, and Wikipedia answers my question about the timeline. 3 years between seasons 3 and 4, so Keeler could have returned to office if he was able.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_%28TV_series%29#Season_One - zeiben, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2The real Dick Cheney would never launch nukes. A cloud of poison gas out of his umbrella, maybe. A laser blast from his high-tech evil monocle, sure, but nukes just wouldn't be his style.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Settle down Beavis.
- pete10203, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1touche', touche'
- dannysullivan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Really, you want Chloe for vice president. If she's president, she'll get killed or maimed, which would make me very sad. As VP, she'd be safe and eventually president to boot!
- neuropsychguy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Assuming Audrey is really dead and not just stuck in a Chinese prison. The "DNA evidence" could have been planted. Just sayin' it could happen.
- Fedge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Chloe is the Napoleon Dynamite of the female 24 world.
"Fine, I was gunna quit anyway, GOSH!" - DigDugDigger, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Chloe's expression NEVER changes :-/
- neuropsychguy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2"Anyone notice a pretty decent resemblance to Dick Cheney?"
The real VP Cheney or the media-vilified one? The VP in 24 has no more in common with VP Cheney than he does with Pres. Clinton. I love 24 but you have to learn to suspend disbelief regarding how the writers portray politics. Tonight's show was pushing it for me and I'm usually the one cutting movies and shows the most slack. Remember, this is entertainment not real life. 24's portrayal of politics is no more accurate than CSI's portrayal of forensic science; there are hints of truth but real life isn't like 24 - sorry to break it to you.
*Santa Claus isn't real either. - Slasher27, on 10/12/2007, -3/+024? ...Now that Heroes is on during the same time slot, do people even remember that show anymore?
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1"if you want to be top dog, run for vice president."
Yeah, especially with the power to decide questions of SPOILERresidentialpaySPOILERisabilityday (as we saw at the end of tonights episode)
***** VP. - doublsh0t, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1I hope to god this isn't a spoiler
