- JasonCox, on 11/06/2009, -0/+17Listen, that's just weird, even for the Internet.
- UbIwerks, on 11/06/2009, -0/+15You mean 'money'. You're kinda attracted to 'money'.
- yibbutkeen, on 11/06/2009, -1/+16And PLEASE take that Dr Phil and Dr Oz crap with you.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 11/05/2009, -0/+14Now tell me the world will not end in 2012!
- lukas88, on 11/06/2009, -0/+11It is hard to extend credibility to anyone peddling The Secret.
In her defense, at least she gets people reading. - kplo, on 11/05/2009, -1/+12Pretty crazy that this move caught CBS by surprise....
- fuckingusername, on 11/05/2009, -1/+11cows for cash
- adith, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9Greater mass means greater gravitational pull.
- numberneal, on 11/05/2009, -1/+9either way she's cakin... cash flow and makeup
- kaosethema, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9you also like macs... no surprise there
- Fabbyfubz, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6I'll file this under the I-don't-give-a-***** category
- elliotys, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6Before she ends her daytime show, she needs to have an episode representing the scientific and evidence driven side of the Autism-Vaccine debate. Oprah, is a smart, driven woman, but she is clueless when it comes to science.
- pirlok, on 11/05/2009, -1/+7If Oprah can't do it, it can't be done
- jbmcb, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5She bought in to "The Secret," I don't think a single logical construct ever crosses her mind, unless it has to do with money.
- DirtyVicar, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Moving from the big three networks to a cable channel... that sounds like a bright idea.
- freshyill, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4She's EXPECTED to move her show to a channel that's EXPECTED to exist?
Sounds like ***** speculation to me. - copypastry, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Gives up daytime TV? not really surprising
Gives up cheesecake... that would be impressive. - JeffD, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3Hopefully this means less people will watch her. I doubt it though :( With all the anti-vaccination, homeopathy and random superstitious crap she allows people to preach to her audience Opera has helped to lower the intelligence level of our society more than any other television personality in history.
- jdeane, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2This seems like a horrible idea to me, honestly. Many dollars to doughnuts says that this fails.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Terrorists lost this time.
- 8ight, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2This way she can learn about more than just tossing one's salad.

A move to cable is a no-brainer. Get ready for your mind to be blown Oprah. - kaosethema, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2oh, thank you, i can watch TV again
- Mship, on 11/06/2009, -1/+3I think in today's world the so called Big Three no longer main the same thing as they use to. Also I an fairly certain that 90% of the people who watch Oprah would follow her to which ever channel she moves too. They would probably buy cable just to watch her.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2so?
- LarkStew, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Get 100,000 people to believe you and you're made!
- tacojohn48, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2If Oprah creates a station and moves her show to it. Every cable company would subscribe.
- brainboy7777, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Rich person who got millions of dollars for acting, no no, being an overconfident idiot gets her own tv channel. Only in America.
- LarkStew, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2That is not an image I was ever expecting to encounter.
- Frankiedog, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2I hear they're selling the Pirate Bay too
- elliotys, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Good point. Maybe I should retract the smart comment and switch it to cunning.
- tacojohn48, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I will tell you the secret to how to make a million dollars. It will only cost you $10.
- FurryToaster, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1Oprah's network is called OWN? She should change it to PWN, just to ***** with people
- Yage2006, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1***** you Oprah!
Take your pseudo science feel good new age ***** and piss off. - mogebier, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1At least she won't have a cable network for very long before the end of the world on 2012.
- EliteBeat, on 11/05/2009, -7/+8I'm kinda attracted to Oprah
- tacojohn48, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1@LarkStew I'll be made if somebody doesn't give a way this life changing program for free.
- tacojohn48, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1Like that'll work
- UltraMegaFilms, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1Hahaha, nice.
- 8Ballism, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I don't think her minge is gonna stand for that.
- Caegn, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0She's expecting to switch to a channel they're expecting to start.
Me, I'm expecting she's still fielding offers from the networks for her talk show. And I'm expecting after using her leverage to negotiate with them, she'll at some point announce a deal with a network that will make her current salary look small. And she'll say something to the effect of how a lot of her fans wouldn't be able to watch her on cable, and how she couldn't abandon them, and that's why she kept her main show on an over the air network. And they'll believe her, and love her even more for it, all while flocking to see the "Oprah" approved content on her network.
And somehow I can't help feeling that's all pretty cool. I love capitalism. - Cheesehead9805, on 11/06/2009, -1/+1*mean
- jordanlgta, on 11/06/2009, -2/+2And what's with the fat girls with big *****? They wouldn't have big ***** if they weren't fat.
"Look at me I'm a fat ***** and I've got big *****. For some reason I couldn't stop eating after I was 20 pounds overweight. Or 30. Or 50. Or 100. I have lots of excuses why it's ok for me to be fat."
/endbadday - smokeythekid, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0And so the take over begins. Oprah already has an army of housewives at her will and now an expansion into the cable television industry will only make her more powerful. Pretty soon it'll be America: A Country of Matriarchy Under Czarina Oprah the I
- thedudex213, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0Good riddance
- MacBookForMe, on 11/05/2009, -4/+2She's like a TV soap Coronation Street in Britain
- davethom, on 11/06/2009, -2/+0Didn't Oprah learn ANYTHING from Howard Stern? Slowly, she will fade into irrelevance.
Or become president. One or the other. - MacBookForMe, on 11/05/2009, -16/+5I love Oprah!
