The cages Sawyer and Kate were kept in at the beginning of season 3 were the same ones they'd been in. Plus, when Charlotte dug up a polar bear in Tunisia, it had a Dharma tag.

    Season 2 finale has got to be the best episode(s) of Lost ever created.

Lost has always had a general plan for where to end from the very beginning, and since they didn't know how long they had to string us along, they couldn't really give us many answers. Halfway through season 3 they negotiated with ABC and announced that the show would end after 3 more seasons, meaning they'd know exactly how long they had to string us along, and wouldn't have to keep stalling. Hence the revitalization at the end of season 3 and all through season 4.
