LOST and HEROES are connected after last night!!!
got-heroes.com — Both the producers from LOST and HEROES came together a little while ago in a podcast and said that "...LOST could have a connection with HEROES..." Did you catch it! Well if you didn't, rewatch the episode, and look for this quote: continue to read the rest of the discussion topic.

- incognit0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+130The shows are not really connected. The producers are friends and are having fun by putting little easter eggs in each other's shows.
- kazimir34, on 10/12/2007, -36/+286Given the mess Lost actually is, it could be connected to almost any tv show now.
- mrops, on 10/12/2007, -27/+5http://www.duggmirror.com
- Tonyisbad, on 10/12/2007, -19/+19Yeah and chimpanzees have a connection with Humans but we don't think they of the same race... At the very most the guys from Heroes saw from Lost of what not to do with a popular show and slowly ruin it...
- EvilDr.X, on 10/12/2007, -2/+63Meh, they were already connected. Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman on Heroes) played the ill-fated pilot of flight 815 in Season 1 of Lost.
- primehifi, on 10/12/2007, -8/+151Lost is connected to Cheers.
Norm is the polar bear. - palmer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31So what? This could never be as exciting as when Rick and AJ went to Hawaii and teamed up with Magnum.

- timbo_digg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8It's more than just the producers being friends. Two of the writers and one of the episode directors from Heroes have worked on Lost. When Heroes was assembling it's production team, they purposefully stole people from Lost to achieve a similar epic tone for the series while refining it and planning it out better so that episodes actually tell stories instead of being a series made of only cliffhangers.
- dokbeast7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I don't know if anyone noticed, but in last weeks ep of hereoes (not this very lastest one, the one 8 days ago) Nikki got this rental car brochure in her little packet o' assassination and the brochure was the exact same one that has appeared in Lost at least 2 or 3 times.
- kindall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11It's pretty obvious to me that both Lost and Heroes exist only in the mind of an autistic boy named Tommy Westphall.

- glue, on 10/12/2007, -7/+85I believe LOST is a popular tv show that airs in the Heros universe.
- DeepPan77, on 10/12/2007, -25/+14Nah, it's not that popular ;-)
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -21/+5Actually, it AIRS in my universe.
- DesolataX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5So the next hit series is "Lost Heroes"?
- xGORDOx, on 10/12/2007, -19/+8They are in the same universe, no doubt about it, just not the same network, lol.
- xGORDOx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Digg me down if you like but Damon Lindelof (Lost) and Tim Kring (Heroes) are friends and have made the claim that they would love to some sort of Lost/Heroes crossover, but they are on different networks.
The Genosha idea is what I would think if there haven't already been easter eggs regarding Lost on Heroes but there has.
Gannon Car Rental?
How soon before a Hero books a flight on an Oceanic Airliner?
Lindelof and Kring both worked on Crossing Jordan.

- overbored454, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7Yes, because Lost is the first show or movie ever where scientists have performed evolutionary experiments on an island.
- spartan789, on 10/12/2007, -2/+34I actually thought this was a reference to Genosha from the X-Men more so than Lost. Could just be me though...
- Tiak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You see, you'd think that until they reveal that the others all have superhuman powers such that this would make sense to be a connection....
- moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6EVERYTHING in Heroes is a reference to X-Men! The flying guy. The mind reader. The firestarter. The regenerator. The crazy broad with split personalities. A scientist who is attempting to unite all the mutants... hiding their secrets (from the movies [obvious gay reference as well]). The politician... on and on
- davidlow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4@moosebaloney
Don't forget The 4400 is another of X-Men's descendants. It has different people with different special powers, plus Xavier's school = the "4400 Center", there are good X-Men vs. bad X-men vs. the normals, etc.
- CapnObvious, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5There is another evil person on hero's that will be revealed next season. he is much like Dr. Doom, and he has an island that is much like Latveria.
- mjenkins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15I didn't catch that one. I did notice the casino episodes in Las Vegas were all taking place at the Montecito. I kept waiting for James Caan or another cast member from Vegas to have a cameo.
Also caught Masi Oka (Hiro) on Studio 60 during Feb sweeps for a little tie-in there.
Of course there's the obvious Star Trek "live long and prosper" gesture, George Takei and the NCC-1701 license plate.- bludragn0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Don't forget that Stan Lee showed up last night as Hiro's bus driver.
said something along the lines of "Just you, young man?" - adougherty, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14I also loved when Hiro was referred to as Captain Sulu, after the episode with George Takei
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yeah, although in the scene shot in a hotel room in the Montecito (Ando and Hiro in the room looking for the pink bag), if you look out the window behind them, the Montecito is actually up the street.
Note that the Montecito doesn't exist and is a computer rendering. I guess they just reused the model because it was easy. - jonnyeh, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16I find it weird that Hiro's dad is Mr Sulu, and Hiro is a Star Trek fan, and he doesn't seem to see the connection. In the Heroes universe, was Mr Sulu played by someone else? Am I over analyzing?
- Pac56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10@jonnyeh
It's like in Last Action Hero where Arnold sees the poster for Sylvester Stallone as Terminator. - kindall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10@jonnyeh
Kind of like in Star Trek IV, when the crew of the Enterprise traveled back in time to 20th Century America and somehow weren't immediately mobbed by autograph-seekers...
- bludragn0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Don't forget that Stan Lee showed up last night as Hiro's bus driver.
- elenadragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Lost is the first thing I thought of when that comment was made. More like a joke than a real connection.
- mutatron, on 10/12/2007, -22/+6I hope not. I hate LOST now. Stopped watching after the first season, actually after Michelle Rodriguez came on.
- negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+122nd season blew ass, and the first half of season three was a stinker, but the last two episodes were great... I recommend giving it another try. I was *this* close to quitting the show, but the last two really redeemed it IMO.
- jgtg32a, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Yeah I'm just going to spoil it for you, they kill her. One of the better episodes IMHO
- hilbertspaceboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Last week's Desmond episode was awesome.
Confusing, but awesome. - Jimzip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I lost interest in season one.. Started watching again at the start of season two, and it's been amazing since. Still a bit slow, but really well written.
I also recommend giving it another go, but you can't just dive in, you have to watch it in sequence. ;)
Jimzip :D - scifi451, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Ya I did not last too far into season two.
- overbored454, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I am afraid we are in the wrong digg for dissing Lost. There are a bunch of people who still enjoy that crap. I think that Lost is what started Michelle Rodriguez to drinking in the first place.
- TheToecutter, on 10/12/2007, -22/+4If they are connected in some way I would never know. I've never watched a single episode of Lost, and no more than 2 minutes of the show ever. /shrug
I believe Lost wants to connect itself to Heroes because Lost is starting to tank while Heroes is on the rise. You can only lead watchers around by the nose for so long before people lose interest.- mattstooks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9If Lost wants to be attached to Heroes, why did this nugget show up on Heroes and not the other way around?
- Kerjo, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7Because no one watches Lost. ;-)
- mattman12345, on 10/12/2007, -17/+4the only thing that connects the two is that they are tv shows, Heros is awesome, and Lost Sucks
- MystDarkarma, on 10/12/2007, -30/+4People obsessed with these two shows are getting really friggin obnoxious. Live life outside of your television fetishes.
- DyDx, on 10/12/2007, -12/+12These two shows, sure.
Now, go watch "The Wire" for some truly magnificent entertainment. It's like a breathtaking novel.. in visual form.. *drool* - adamszymczak, on 10/12/2007, -12/+12Amen to the Wire.

- Dudemanpp, on 10/12/2007, -13/+0This show is teh pwn.
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10This won't end well...
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17i suppose i'm the only one that thinks the line was just rational thinking and not a reference to some other networks show?
if you have a dude that can blow up a city, why keep him near cities? isolate him and every one of them as far away from civilization and make them your lab rats. I figured if anyone was gonna go psycho over his quote it would have been the x-men fans in the crowd.
Well, i suppose you'll all be disappointed when you see the Alaskan Lab if you didn't already know about it. - bastaroid, on 10/12/2007, -19/+2Heroes didn't end up being what I hoped it would be. It seems like it's gonna turn into another Lost. And there's nothing I hate more than a show that features a new cliffhanger every commercial break/week.
- QueEsAmor, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Yes, but unlike Lost, Heroes answers the questions it brings up. Also, I hate to imagine what shows you watch that don't leave room for another episode the next week. Cliffhangers are what episodic shows are all about, i.e. every show on television.
- Ender008, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Cliff hangers are what keep shows like that on the air, if you don't make people REALLY want more then eventually the show will die.
Thats why Heroes is so popular, and why Lost used to be amazing. IMO Lost IS still amazing, but objectively it was better in the beginning. What made season 1 of lost so good was that everything was a mystery, there were sooo many unknowns. The unknowns have been starting to pick up again, although people tend to forget about them, as bigger events take the spotlight. The man with the eyepatch on the camera for example. That was episodes ago, yet I predict he'll have a big part in the episodes to come.
Lost lost so many fans (heh) because of the dramatic change in the type of show it was. Everything used to be a problem that had to be solved, yet now almost everything is something random and spontaneous that comes out of nowhere. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses though.
Love heroes and lost, and I wouldn't mind seeing some crossover... - BigDPez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I find it interesting that everyone bags on LOST because they don't answer enough of the loose ends they create. But apparently, the last episode concerning Desmond (which opened up a whole new can of WTF) is "awesome". The unanswered questions make this show and if you can't live without knowing everything it probably isn't the show for you.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Come on, this is grasping at straws, seriously.
There are other islands in the world other than the island Lost takes place on - piratebr0adcast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Whats the freaking quote, guys? I missed the episode and the site is swamped....
- clkou, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1I'm a geek as much as the next Digger, but the first thought that came to mind when I read this was ... NERD ALERT! NERD ALERT!
- Ender008, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6blasphemous concubine!
- ad88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Anyone catch that Desmond's friend in the last LOST episode (real name Shishir-Kurup) is also the same guy who plays the scientist friend of Mohinder in Heroes...
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0476094/
-FTW- Ender008, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I thought they just looked similar...thats kinda cool.
He's a skeptic in both too, although IMO, most scientists are. - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5yeah, and the head of the company Desmond applied for on the last episode is also on Ugly Betty...
- hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26OMG! OMG! do you think the Others kidnapped Betty when she was a kid and made her SUPER UGLY????!!!????
OMG!!!! - hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Is Claire's father going to lock up Ugly Betty?!!!
Wait...
I JUST realized Lost & Heroes both have blond girls named Claire!!!
OMG What does it mean!!!! - RobotJesus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah I did notice that. I thought "What the?" Thats what confirmed the same universe thing for me.
- timbo_digg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Anybody realize that Charlie (the waitress with the memory power) is on Ugly Betty too?
And her character's name is Charlie on that series too. Kind of silly in my opinion.
- Ender008, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I thought they just looked similar...thats kinda cool.
- SnowflakePillow, on 10/12/2007, -11/+13Eesh. Lost better stay out of my Heroes.
- Jimzip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Yeah I'd prefer they don't cross over, I like the separate realities. But you can't say it's not interesting to think about. ;)
I think it's safe to say that it won't go any further though, they've got no real reason to do so, and it would confuse a hell of a lot of people. Just something little that fans can think is cool.
Jimzip :D
- Jimzip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Yeah I'd prefer they don't cross over, I like the separate realities. But you can't say it's not interesting to think about. ;)
- n3il89, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37It took me about five minutes to finally view part of the site. Digg effect is taking its toll. (I checked duggmirror but nothing) I copied and pasted what I could:
Video of the SCENE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOLOk-ozWvQ
Well, it finally has happened. LOST on ABC has joined in connection with HEROES on NBC. I know that is JUST an "easter egg," but that is cool enough!
Both the producers from LOST and HEROES came together a little while ago and said that "...LOST could have a connection with HEROES..." Tim Kring was joking, Damon Lindelof was NOT!
WELL, we have seen/heard it now!!! LOST planted an easter egg in HEROES, only a few select LOST fans who search and hunt for such things will find it!
I think I am one of the first! Not to be COCKY or anything!
But, remember the scene where Nathan and Simone are talking about "going public" with what they can do. Nathan says something VERY interesting!
Did you catch it! Well if you didn't, rewatch the episode, and look for this quote:
"...if people knew what we were capable of, they would drop a collective brick...because that's what I would do, I'd round us all up, stick us in a LAB, on some island in the middle of the ocean."
Referencing LOST! "...LAB...some island...middle of the ocean..."
For all you fellow LOST lovers out there, (including myself) this may be an answer or two to some questions for all of us!!!
Please DISCUSS!!!

EDIT: I found a couple of articles;
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,1553147,00.html
http://www.gitsiegirl.com/heroes-in-losts-world/- Koganei, on 10/12/2007, -20/+27Sounds like you're about to have an orgasm
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35Or he could be copying and pasting what was posted elsewhere.
Y'know, like he SAID HE WAS. - texpundit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17I just kept reading that comment, waiting for the "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!" at the end.
- piratebr0adcast, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Thanks for posting that! About time! I kept looking for what the easter egg was, but all of these tools
just want to talk about Ugly Bett yand Kevin Bacon! - spudnic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I love HOW the article capitalizes RANDOM words, GIVES it that wonderful professional FEEL
- cleverboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4People are way too excited about this. Really.
If by some freak miracle, the writers were EVER
allowed to "connect" the two narratives, it would
be the crowning glory of CHEESE. - MTaylorWDPRO, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is barely an easter egg. You could just as easily connect this comment to The Island of Dr Moreau, or the X-Men (Genosha, or the Worthington Labs in X3).
Heroes has had a stronger tie to the show Las Vegas than LOST. Hiro and Ando were in the Montecito when they first acquired the Vespa. - sjbdallas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2In the next post Alic will complaining about being grounded for getting her ears pierced.
- Andrew1180, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27If they're connected. does this mean that the Heroes plot line will slowly decline and go absolutely nowhere?
Is Hiro never going to get that sword?!?!- FernandoForever, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5I hope so. I can't believe they took his powers away. Aside from the lame "split personality power", that is the lamest thing from the show.
- Ender008, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10SPOILER (if you didn't see last nights ep.)
He didn't lose his powers, he just used them last night... - Negyxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@FernandoForever
whenever someone is watching Heroes with me and asks about her I'm just like:
"Yeah, her power is to be bi-polar and freak the ***** out."
- heilig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11umm, wasnt there an x-men episode back in the day were gambit, storm and jubilee visit an island where they keep all the mutants.. and developed the sentinels.. i thought that was what they were referencing, seeing as stan lee was in it.
- FernandoForever, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4yeah. it was called "savage land". Thats a great concept to consider, but i doubt that is the plan. (not that lost has a plan.)
- tmanka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@FernandoForever
Hey tard it was actually called genosha...sorry...little cranky tonight...but if you are going to reference these things get your story straight.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genosha
- hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I like both shows despite their faults and the easter egg thing is vaguely interesting (although its the sort of line that could easily have been written with no knowledge of the other show's existence)
However, the gushing "OMG! OMG!" comments on that page make me want to cancel my internet service and break my TV out of shame for the human race. - Pandalume, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Perhaps it was a reference to "The Island of Dr Moreau"?
- moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2... or Gilligan's Island. We all know the professor was into genetic manipulation
- SupaFupa, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Who puts a Digg This in their own forum post? Oh yeah a pretentious tool who thinks he's the only one in the world to hear this line and think of Lost.
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -0/+3I'm sensing a Six Degrees To Lost coming on.
Six Degrees to Kevin Bacon is so over due for a revamp anyway. - RobotJesus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Saw this a mile away. I mean look at lost, Desmond gets future telling, gets called a Super Power, Walt had that crazy teleporting feature that he cant control, etc. I don't think they will ever be linked to the average watcher, but I believe the creators meant it to be in the same universe. Both of online experience games, etc. Maybe they will link there? I kinda hope they do in some way or another.
- Portezbie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1yeah this dude is making wa ytoo big a deal of this at most i bet it is an inside joke, more likely, it is a coincidence or a subconscious thing
- fearziz, on 10/12/2007, -9/+0both shows suck, get lives people. try reading a book or meeting a girl.
- selrahc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I've done both... still have time for the show(in fact the girl will watch it with me). I need to spend less time on digg though.
- computerologist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@fearziz
oh yes, or log onto to digg and bitch about what people should be doing in their spare time. Pot, meet kettle, kettle, pot. Don't call each other names.
- hurleytime, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There was an article, no, a podcast that came out at the end of last season where Lindelof (Lost) and Kring (Heroes) had a conversation about their respective shows, and a point was made in that conversation where it would be great if the two universes were connected somehow, but the logistics of it wouldn't allow for it to happen. From a show by show basis, it would be fine, but as long as Heroes is on NBC and Lost is on ABC they could not be allowed to make them 'actually' related. The overt reference used yesterday, however, is more like a shout out than a connection.
- rudygetz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0who gives a ***** !?!?!?!
- FullMetalMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3We all know that LOST, Battlestar Galatica, and Stargate SG-1 are all connected!
- JordanM85, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2These shows better not connect, that would be the worst idea ever.
- oonix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10The Jetsons Meet the Flinstones!!! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192175/ OMG!!!11!
- darkspire, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@mattstooks: The people that appear to be making Lost references are Lost fans, not Heroes fans. There have been plenty of stories where experiments where done on people on islands in the middle of no where. It's perfectly plausible that if the world knew that evolution had begun to give humans super powers that the governments of the world would round them up and place them in isolation for experimentation and research. Taken in that context it makes much more sense then "omg a lost reference!1!11!!." Which we've now had two topics hit the front page about.
- wonko33, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I think some of you are "reading between the lines" a little too much. I think he's talking about Jurassic park, or island of Doctor Moreau, or maybe he's talking about the Island from the TV show "The prisoner".... give me a break
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Honestly, I thought it was more of an X-men reference than anything (expressing the same sentiments the X-men often face). This was underscored for me by Stan Lee showing up in the episode.
- blackandblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3well i spotted another semi related thing. during desmonds reliving of england, he is using future paint to paint his apartment, and in heroes when matt parkman is protecting the guy with the diamonds he walks past an office with Future on the door.
- CoolJammer00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dont forget. On Las Vegas, the Montecito crew made mention of Dunder Mifflin (from The Office) as a company renting out a ball room.
So Heroes/Office/Las Vegas/Crossing Jordan all take place in the same world? - billsil, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1uhhh...they're connected cause jeff lobe has run out of ideas...nerdy comic book writer guy
- AstroKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's Jeph Loeb
- jackmaninov, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Where is my option to bury due to a broken link? I don't wanna see some forum's login page when I use digg...
- Eleo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Doesn't seem like a reference to LOST at all. All he did is mention an island. It seemed more like he was throwing out a realistic potential scenario.
