- ixtapalapaquetl, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26Like when Sawyer kills the doctor in the last episode of Season 2? Spoilers like that?
- SPARTACVS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22These are more "teasers" than "spoilers", but they are cool none the less. Like when it says "The failsafe made some interesting physical changes to the island," it's like "Ok, cool", but what? That would be a spoiler, but that would also be something I don't want to see until I see the show.
- 2000, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23You never heard of a story arc? WTF?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Can't wait for Season 3. We need more spoilers like these.
- jtrost, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17I can also start a website, and make a bunch of guesses about what will happen, justify it by saying I know a guy, and not providing any verifiable proof. This story should be taken with a big grain of salt.
- Nightfall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13I agree!
I like these kinds of spoilers. Nothing revealed, but it gives you something to look forward to. I don't want to know what happens, but it is always nice to wet my appetite with some hints as to what is coming..
Can't wait for Season 3! - aceman118, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Actually the term arc is used to describe a short sub-story as part of a much bigger story which happens a lot in TV dramas and MMORPGs. Don't look into it any deeper than that.
- starexplorer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10they could tell me hurley gets a haircut and i'd wet my pants
- über, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I believe there is a rational explanation for that, in that the producers cannont stop time, and the the actor naturally aged. Clever, eh?
- Neveroutgunned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5To Ramble: The plane was off course when it crashed, helps if you have actually seen an episode before commenting.
- MikeOSX, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7maybe dharma will drop a shipment of grooming supplies next time
- disruptor108, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It's Desmond not Edmond brotha
- disruptor108, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6What kind of show can you get into? American Idol? That doesn't have long cliffhangers...
- stvcsk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5For the real big fans of the show, the cliffhangers are quickly forgotten during the off-months when they're off chasing leads all over the internet. An entire backstory with hackers, rogue shock-jock podcasts, real and fake websites, actual books and ads in major newspapers and on primetime tv is taking place. Producers of the show have been relentless in giving lost fans something to do in the offseason and feeding them something else to get addicted to. Great show, the waiting can be unbearable, but that's what digg and the rest of the internet is for.
- Jimzo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Suit yourself, but it is the best show on TV at the moment. I watched season 1 on DVD and it drove me crazy waiting for each week to go by in Season 2, but ultimately it is worth following.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I wish TV networks would get away from their 1950's mentality and get rid of 'seasons'. The shows should be produced continuously. The rest of the world doesn't work 18 weeks then take the rest of the year off.
I guess I'm saying I like Lost. MORE LOST. Thank you. - 4815162342, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3old news
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Right, for example in the older Garfield strips we of course know that it normally takes place in the house. But I recall 4 or 5 strips in a row where they were at the beach. That's an arc.
- dcipjr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Yeah, I wouldn't call these "spoilers". The one about the failsafe causing some physical changes on the island -- umm, well yeah, I would expect it to, judging from what happened. Not very illuminating.
The second season left me kind of cold, honestly. Too many questions, not enough answers. I mean, there are plenty of things left over from Season One which haven't even been touched (the Black Rock and the radio tower, anyone?) Tack onto that the utter confusion they added on in Season 2, and I start wondering whether they're really going to answer any of these questions at all.
The producers say they have the story of the island planned out and everything, but stuff that happened towards the end of season two is making me seriously doubt their claims. There's just too much stuff to resolve; I don't see how they're going to come up with an even remotely feasible explanation for what's going on on this island. - Bara, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Actually, the producers said that Walt still plays a part in the story (although Michael apparently does not, since his contract wasnt renewed) and they are going to try and work the aging factor into the story itself. Perhaps one season will skip ahead a while, ala Battlestar Galactica?
- cderry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5My impression of Lost:
Jack: "Who are you?"
Edmond: "Put the gun down!"
Jack: "Who are you?"
Edmond: "Don't I know you?"
-----Cue flashback. After the flashback, Edmond stares at Jack for a long time------
Jack: "Who are you?"
Edmond: "Do you want to die!?!?!"
Jack: "Who are you?"
Edmond: "There's no time!"
A person will ask a question and the other person will look at the first person and study them, think intently about the situation and their life in general, dance around the question for a while, and THEN say they don't have time for this. AHHHH!!! Answer the simple question! - chicksdigme, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4With Maggie Grace's char off the show, no point in watching anymore
- Presentlight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If indeed they do have the entire story written out (which I heard is supposed to span a total of ? 6 ? seasons), then think of it as a book, and we are only a third of the way through it.
- moisie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I still don't get why they needed a person to enter the numbers when surely a machine could have been developed to do the same job at a set interval.
- nrhanson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4so an 'arc' refers to a storyline within the whole season. Per wikipedia: A story arc is an extended or continuing storyline in episodic storytelling media such as television, comic books and comic strips.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I did not even watch season 2. In Italian TV it is a year backwards. Season 1 was great however.
- jtwilkins, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2This information is all from the offical podcast. Listen to the "spoilers" right from the creators mouth.
- corser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I doubt that the people behind lost expect to answer every single question next season. They have to leave some things for later
- matthawaii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Here Here!
Season 2 was very lame. Things progressed too slowly. I know they can't blow their wad now, they need to milk the cash machine more - but come on.
That quote is a perfect example of how they are making the people act stupid. - davidro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would actually prefer it if they took on the model of the pay cable networks and British television - the way HBO gives the Sopranos team as much time as they need to produce each new season. When you demand 22 episodes in an 7-8 month period, you're asking for weak writing.
- boo5000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2For the hundredth time on Digg, it is "hear, hear". And yes, the shows progress a little on the slow side, but watching them all at one time is an experience like no other. Wait for the DVD if you can't stand the pace.
- moisie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How do you reckon they work 18 weeks to produce a season of television running to 20+ episodes? Do they make each episode in under a week? Part of the reason that shows have so many breaks in them is that to a certain extent they just aren't ready in time. 24 had a delayed start so they had a load of episodes filmed ready to go. The networks with most shows - especially new ones - don't want to film a large number then find they get ***** ratings and have wasted the money. That said, there is an argument that they should just air them consistently to let audiences grow or that if a show is that ***** then they should realise whilst it's filming.
- TheBlackLeopard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Maggie Grace had the face of a badly beaten sea turtle and the body of a Rwandan refugee.
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2These "spoilers" are really vague hints. It's mostly to do with story structure, type of story and a couple hints of story that are even more vague than most TV commercials for upcoming Lost episodes are.
- LittlemanTAMU, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Agreed, reported inaccurate since it's just some blog with no sources.
- elpepe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ramble are you serious? The island isn't on the map and is evidently not viewable from above either
- WeeklyGeek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3So avoid watching the cliffhanger. They will most likely show the last episode again before they show new episodes, so watch them back to back if you want to. You are missing out on a great story with your impatience!
- cderry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh yeah, it is Desmond. Thanks.
- ReikiMaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2dugg season one. season two introduced people I realy didn't give a ***** about and a plot line that was hard to swallow. I stoped watching for a few weeks and became lost as to what was actually going on. I may watch the reruns this summer, or I may just find something else to do with my time this fall when season three comes on.
- overaction, on 07/14/2009, -0/+1Not to be overly nerdy, but his name is Desmond...
edit: nevermind.... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those who said these were BS now have their confirmation via TV guide.
- IdolConfident, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://digg.com/television/LOST_Begins_Season_Three_Production_Huge_Spoilers
- bugmenot01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the real spoiler, season 5 the show is over.
- cderry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I stoped watching for a few weeks and became lost as to what was actually going on."
I am convinced that this why they named the show "Lost". The writers are beating a dead horse. The ambiguity about everything is only used to drag everything along and make the show last as long as possible. Hey writers...Neverending Story called....they want their "NOTHING" back. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+11Oh cmon you prude LIVE A LITTLE!
- alanspach, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3then do it
- MikeOSX, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5They could also explain how they were only on the island for 40 something days, yet Walt aged two years.
- RangerRuss, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2After reading the article, there was nothing good in it, just a bunch of general speculative crap. No digg.
- Noelix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2They could tell me Hurley finally loses weight and THEN I'd wet my pants
- timdorr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I'm a spoiler-a-holic, and I still love the show. However, I look at spoilers that don't tell specifics, just general hints of things. It gets me excited for when the real information comes (which is exactly the point: most spoilers are done for marketing).
