- op12, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Techcrunch has a special page and they got 10,000 invites:
http://www.joost.com/presents/techcrunch/
and if that runs out, GigaOm got 20,000:

- WickedDrag0oN, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Iv been playing around with Joost for a few weeks, its actually really cool. They already have a decent amount of programming from the main stream media. Personally being able to watch Robot Chicken on demand just tickles my soul.
- WickedDrag0oN, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Seriously Paramount? If Star Trek gets on Joost, thats it game over for cable.
- z3rgRush, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Joost, bring me Lost / BSG / Heroes on my computer. You will be the new youtube cool.
- navtejkohli, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Because we at Digg love bandwagons. And paid homepage visits.
- Bamborzled, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2@esotericguy
Yes, but you can find them pretty much anywhere because Joost now gives you an unlimited number of invites. Just ask someone who has a Joost account.
The content on Joost is now marginally better as well! - Bamborzled, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The article:

Say that again? - navtejkohli, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5How astute of you to say so.
- McJake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Still very 'beta' for me.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2south park, simpsons, and family guy is all it needs
sportscenter too - Jrr6415sun, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2you're delusional if you think that will ever happen, or if that is something that could realistically happen. Maybe in 5 years, when they're not as big anymore.. but for now, those shows will only be on abc.com /nbc.com or itunes.
- DarthJay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Joost says they'll be getting G1 Transformers cartoons soon...
- nullynull, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Ads + P2P + DRM + Stale Content = LAME
Seriously, are you really going to whore out your bandwidth for content that's encumbered with DRM and ads?
Blizzard, try that slimy stuff too with there WoW patches. - WickedDrag0oN, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Its free ***** quit your bitching.
- moocow1452, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1In other news...
http://digg.com/tech_news/Joost_10_3_released#c6839729 - Juaquin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2If they got BSG, it would be an instant win. Game over. Joost wins.
- moocow1452, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Star Trek, and they have it made.
Never mind. Someone already said it. - doctordetroit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0For those looking for invites, metue.com has them also. They wrote an article on this same story earlier today.
- kidcodea, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1wake up. anyone that knows anything about new media or the net itself, having tested joost, knows it is doomed to fail.
- shagggie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0The CAA deal means original content, not stale content. I'm personally excited to see what they develop. With a stable of actors like Lindsey Lohan and Frederick the Performer - I'm sure we're in for quite a treat! The bigger issue I've seen is performance. On a cable connection, the playback stuttered quite often for me on a MacPro with 1Gig of Ram.
- sukimashita, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Please also provide live TV functionality like people expect from an anticipated IP-TV system. You can give me your money later for this awesome hint. (See sopcast.org and all those Asian P2P IP-TV clients; can you do better?)
- Phantene, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I just joined Joost last week, so I've been busy playing around with it. This article is very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
- 1jaxstate1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1They can't even get the good version of the Transformer cartoon...and you think they'll get Lost, South Park, .....
- theschnaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0check out www.sourban.net for more info and accounts
- ryanspahn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Joost has been a good cable TV substitute for me as I have my PC hooked up to my TV and dont watch much TV. If interested see my TV - PC set up ( http://www.techavid.com) . Flame it or no?
- ronfez, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Oh good, more content that will likely be US only.
- Ahnteis, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1yes, but you can get an invite online automatically. I don't remember URL -- found it with google.
- esotericguy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1is this still invite only?
- PathDaemon, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1I would have invites if there were a PPC version of Joost with which to activate my account...
- SickFinga, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Anyone got invites for Joost?
- CaptainRant, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1Why did this particular story get 30 diggs within a minute of it being submitted?
- uberneoconcert, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1losers.
