- Dietcola, on 03/27/2009, -1/+46They don't have the Crossfire takedown. Which I thought is better then half of these. So vicious of a takedown that the show is not on anymore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFQFB5YpDZE
- frjsanders, on 03/26/2009, -6/+35I think Jon Stewart is the best...
- NeonDistraction, on 03/27/2009, -0/+23Man, that never gets old.
"You're on CNN! The show that leads into me is puppets making crank phone calls. What is wrong with you?!" - rpieszak, on 03/27/2009, -3/+24This country needs more Jon Stewarts
- Snoogs, on 03/26/2009, -7/+25FTW.
- gregoryan, on 03/27/2009, -2/+19canada gets no love
- Insightful, on 03/27/2009, -0/+13Stewart is a comedian whose journalistic integrity is higher than that of most journalists out there (Ed Henry, Chuck Todd, Major Garrett - I am looking at you).
- dominator1989, on 03/27/2009, -1/+7There can only BE ONE!!
- jmill987, on 03/27/2009, -3/+8I think a lot of people kind of have, and that's kind of scary....
- random90210, on 03/27/2009, -0/+5What did you replace it with?
- Chaoticfist, on 03/27/2009, -1/+6As a Canadian i weep
- oldman, on 03/27/2009, -0/+4Good Stuff, BUT What happened to targeted ads. I am a 57 year old man and am unlikely to ever need to buy KOTEX or any other feminine hygiene product, so who decides that Jon's audience is all Female 13 to 50 year olds?
- Erik1421, on 03/27/2009, -4/+8I have officially replaced Comedy Central as my news channel.
- dalectrics, on 03/27/2009, -0/+4Oh God, am I the only Brit who got the anti-smoking ads TWELVE ***** TIMES?????????? ***** broken non-fullscreening video player.
- squ1sh, on 03/27/2009, -0/+4I hadn't watched the Jim Cramer one, but that was incredibly well done. Yes, I think Jim's taking CNBC's rap and he shouldn't have to shoulder all the blame. I also think that CNBC itself is truly criminal and should be taken off the air or completely redone under new management
YUCK. - inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3ARe you at work and have an american IP address? Cuz if you've a Canadian one, you can *not*.
- skeptictank, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3I try to understand other people's opinions and points of view but those 2 just don't belong on this planet. I can understand having a neocon point of view if you are making millions of dollars but those guys are sociopaths.
- dalectrics, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3Web developers who can't afford random ***** randomly dissapearing on random pages.
At home it's a different story though. - CerMakAlot, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3I don't doubt that the surge helped bring violence down, but there are other factors as well. The awakening movements in Iraq are a good example.
- alienufo, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3Doug Feith shoulda been on the list
- gijoeler, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3Kristol and Bolton should be in prison.
- pennvneff, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3You guys should watch his interview with Ramesh Ponnuru, some dumbass from the National Review. I mean this guy comes off as a total pussy.
http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?vide ... - inactive, on 03/27/2009, -1/+4I love that John Stewart was basically the first anchor to blow the lid off of Cramer and CNBC.
- Fixhotep, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3I came here to post just that. I've seen many more beatdowns that were better than these. Not that these are bad... But Crossfire and Cramer were the best.
- EnigmaOX, on 03/27/2009, -1/+4***** John Bolton!
- Efilnikufesin, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2Of course it's not on anymore. I mean, how can you go back on after being so totally owned like that?
- AlKo, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2I thought this was going to be clips of John and Conan brawling with Colbert in the mix...
Those were some pretty vicious takedowns!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVg1CW08oHA - m4csrgh3yk3v, on 03/27/2009, -2/+4They aren't vicious at all. This is real debate and we should see more of it.
- Recluse, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2I don't see how the lou dobbs interview was brutal or vicious in any way. I enjoyed it regardless.
- gijoeler, on 03/27/2009, -1/+3The Chris Matthews takedown is awesome.
- Gareth321, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2He's the bee's knees!
- Vermifax, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2What's an "Obana"....?
- OzzieAlThor, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2When Jon busts out the tape, people get nervous.
Awesome. - Fixhotep, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2I suddenly feel the uncontrollable desire to shave and eat pizza...
- Silentnite85, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2http://awfulcontent.com/comics/40
That poor highlander. - Ades, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2Yes... yes they should..
- mishabear, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2As an American, I weep for the reasons we have to have people like Jon Stewart.
- googooly, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2no i just install this windows that comes with all types of crazy stuffs. its called Windows XP SP3 DarkLite Edition 2008. I actually have Canadian IP address right now and it works just fine.
- mushtakrakish, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2dugg for the period commercial before the clip. definitely needed to sit through 30 seconds of that.
- foreignwarren, on 03/27/2009, -1/+2clicking on the stop-sign icon and disabling it for the pages you're working on (and apparently inserting random ***** on) solves that
- SpeedyG, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Not really.
The news networks put out entertainment under the guise of informing people.
Comedy Central puts out entertainment, makes no attempt to act like they're informing people, and yet somehow still does.
It's entertainment vs. entertainment, and people are picking the entertainment show that's upfront about its intentions. - Speed, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Maybe you're close enough to the US border that Hulu and Comedy Central detect a US IP?
- UselessTrivia, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Couldn't find 10?
- paidhima, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Bolton and Dobbs were just good debates. The rest, admittedly, were pretty intense. Kristol knew what was coming. Matthews didn't. Cramer was a fairly good sport about it. Bennett, on the other hand, got smacked around pretty good on gay marriage. Stewart gave the most thoughtful and convincing argument for gay marriage that I've heard, and he was smart enough to leave religion out of it.
- squ1sh, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Really? I thought he had some good points with logic behind his arguments. Yes, I don't like the way he's going with them but I think he's at least the kind of person who seems reasonable enough to debate his ideas intellectually rather than just Bill'O the whole shebang.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1►THANK GOD FOR JON STEWART!!!!!!!!
How pathetic that Americans have to watch a Comedy channel to get the news.
"a recent study by the University of Pennsylvania's National Annenberg Election Survey, which said young viewers of "The Daily Show" were more likely to answer questions about politics correctly than those who don't."
http://www.freepress.net/news/4765
”Viewers of Jon Stewart's show are more likely to have completed four years of college than people who watch "The O'Reilly Factor," according to Nielsen Media Research.”
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6117542/
Also, funny that after Stewart appeared on Crossfire and outed them for not really being a debate show but just another right-wing extremist circus that is destroying American, CNN cancelled the show.
Thanks for that Jon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmZkw169xEI - rckxxmedk, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Not bad, but its missing the interview with Mike Huckabee about gay marriage
- saerko, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1He actually admits that hangs people on their words, taken out of context, in order to create entertainment. The fact is though, that they're open about their bias. There's no attempt to be "fair and balanced" or anything except what they are.
If Williams and Gibson actually reported the news without bias, that would be one thing, but they do sensationalism with the best of them. There's a lot commentary out there showing that attempts to be "fair" and "impartial" in the news media just ends up giving undue credence to bankrupt ideologies, so what he does has a place.
I for one, like the show and get my news from it rather than any of the major networks, because they tend to focus on crap I don't care about. - ShannonGB, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1More vicious than Matt Hughes!
