    I'm quite confident that a significant percentage of the digg audience is more highly educated than Palin. I'd further bet that a huge percentage has a higher IQ than her, not that IQ is a terribly useful metric, but I guarantee hers isn't very high.

    Well for me I have a degree in mechanical engineering and at one point used to make test equipment for airplanes. Now, I'm just a regular old web developer. I can assure you that I knew all of countries that made up NAFTA (North America is a BIG clue) and I can name every single country in Africa. Why did I find it worth my time to know every country in Africa? It's called "intellectual curiosity". And while some of the smartest people I've met didn't even have their bachelors, they had/have intellectual curiosity in spades. I would find it *real hard* to come up with a reason why someone would not know something as basic as Africa being a continent.

I thought that the point of the segment was sort of a mockery of how savagely the McCain campaign has thrown her under the bus. I mean anything the Daily Show could have possibly done pales in comparison to that segment on the O'Reilly Factor. The claims from that reporter are extreme, but the Daily Show's jokes are just silly.

    Also, it's sort of hilarious that you talk about the unhinged left when these claims are coming from a Fox reporter on the O'Reilly factor using a McCain aide as a source. So, are you saying that clearly we should all believe one conservative source and ignore another, otherwise we're just wacko liberals?

    Just because you are 15 and this is the first time in your life you've paid attention to satire doesn't mean that satire didn't exist when Clinton was president... topical satire (like the Daily Show, Weekend Update, all the late night shows, the Onion to some extent, etc) makes fun of *topical* items - just give it a few months and an obama/biden administration will give them plenty to poke fun at.

I know more about the way the government functions, it's limitations and it's powers than she does because I paid attention in my government class. I can also form my own cohesive thoughts.

    The quicker Palin stops being covered by the news, the better. We don't want to hear from or about this quack any longer.
