    BTW; has anyone read the Dexter books? Surprisingly, this is one of the few cases where the show/movie is better than the source material.

  • defectDS, on 05/28/2009, -0/+7Funny, I just finished watching Season 3 as I opened up Digg. Not as predictable as the previous two seasons, thank god. All in all, I've yet to be dulled by an episode of Dexter. :P

    Smits was better than I expected and I'm glad that I saw his character and not just Jimmy Smits as Jimmy Smits. But I'm happier that he's gone. :D

    At least the first one was readable, but then he tried to turn that whole "dark passenger" metaphor into a ancient evil god/lifeform.I'm glad the show went the other direction and "forgot" about mentioning his "dark passenger".

    Although I am looking forward to Dexter turning Rita's kids into tiny murderers.

  • masonreloaded, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Agree that this seems an odd choice. I think Lithgow is great in the right thing, but his quirky/camp style of acting would not seem to fit the show's more naturalistic feel... maybe he will tone it down and surprise me, but not that excited for it right now.

    i gotta say, though, while the plot was pretty contrived, I read the 3rd book in about 2 days. It really kept my attention.
